The David Spoon Experience dives deep into the essential truth that everything in life hinges on our relationship with God. The central message emphasizes that while we can do all things through Christ, we must also recognize that we cannot achieve anything meaningful without Him. David Spoon explores the concept of dependency on God, urging listeners to foster a perpetual relationship with the Lord for guidance and strength. He discusses the importance of prayer, scripture, and seeking God's presence, highlighting that true fulfillment comes from partnering with Him in all aspects of life. As the conversation unfolds, listeners are encouraged to seek more of God, as this desire unlocks the answers to life's challenges and complexities.
Takeaways:
David Spoon takes listeners on a dynamic journey through faith, expectation, and the essence of dependency on God in this engaging episode. He opens with a light-hearted tone, inviting listeners to sit back and enjoy the ride, setting the stage for a deeper exploration of spiritual truths that can transform lives. At the core of the discussion is the profound realization that humans are not self-sufficient; rather, they are wholly reliant on God for their very existence. Spoon emphasizes that every breath is a gift from God, drawing from Acts 17:25 to illustrate that acknowledging this dependency is vital for genuine spiritual growth.
As the episode progresses, Spoon delves into the importance of aligning oneself with God's will, contrasting the concept of positive thinking with true faith. He encourages listeners to engage in a daily relationship with Jesus, highlighting the significance of prayer and scripture in fostering this connection. Spoon adeptly navigates through the complexities of faith, urging his audience to recognize the difference between motivational positivity and authentic reliance on God's power, ultimately framing dependence on God as the pathway to achieving true purpose and fulfillment in life. His insights foster a spirit of introspection and challenge listeners to reassess their understanding of faith and its practical implications in daily living.
And now for something completely different.
David Spoon:Here's what's coming up this hour on today's Experience.
David Spoon:It's wild and wonderful.
David Spoon:What's gonna happen?
David Spoon:We have no idea.
David Spoon:Let's sit back and enjoy the ride.
David Spoon:Can I get a Wowzer Bowser?
David Spoon:Wednesday because God is in charge of this crazy bus called the Christian Journey first, today's Wednesday classic sermon is actually a chapter in one of my books that I've written.
David Spoon:It's hard for people to sometimes understand the difference between having a great sense of expectation and confidence in God and a mindset of always operating in positive speech, positive thinking, where everything is positive and the world is always yay, yay, yay.
David Spoon:The truth of the matter is we can do anything through Christ and in fact, we can do nothing without him.
David Spoon:So we take that to the next level where it needs to go.
David Spoon:We are not self existent or self sustaining.
David Spoon:Did you hear what I just said?
David Spoon:We are not self existent or self sustaining.
David Spoon:We are completely dependent on God every moment of every day.
David Spoon:Everyone is.
David Spoon:For those who do not recognize this, they need to face the truth.
David Spoon: le breath that you take, Acts: David Spoon:Finally.
David Spoon:To that end, we should be more in tune with what the Lord wants us to do.
David Spoon:So there are times when Jesus spoke very uplifting words, right?
David Spoon:There's other times where he rebuked.
David Spoon:And then there's other times where it was neither uplifting nor rebuke, but simply the truth.
David Spoon:What we need to do is function in a perpetual relationship with God or as perpetual as we can get by walking with Jesus daily.
:David Spoon's life has been an experience.
:While growing up in a Jewish family, he made a wrong turn towards drug abuse.
:Then David Spoon found Jesus Christ and his life completely changed.
:The more he studied the gospel, the more he wanted to share his experiences with others.
:After 35 years of ministry, David discovered a new path of service.
:He joined KAM and this radio program began.
:You're about to hear the David Spoon Experience.
David Spoon:Welcome to the David Spoon Experience.
David Spoon:Local, national and heavenly talk.
David Spoon:Here's what else we're looking at during the show.
David Spoon:Lessons for surviving living and prevailing politics, entertainment and current events, personal revelations, spiritual observations, my life's insanities, and oh, so much more.
David Spoon:Now remember, it's not professional radio.
David Spoon:That that Federer is not the one.
David Spoon:I can still hear the hum.
David Spoon:It's not professional radio.
David Spoon:It's just radio.
David Spoon:And as proof of that, we will ask.
David Spoon:We'll ask.
David Spoon:It's much lower, much lower.
David Spoon:We will ask Our very own Jam and Jacob, who is the.
David Spoon:Wait, wait, wait.
David Spoon:Luminary of professional.
David Spoon:Like that.
David Spoon:You are the luminary of professional radio, our very own Jam and Jacob.
David Spoon:Jam and Jacob is the David Spoon Experience.
David Spoon:Professional radio.
Jam and Jacob:No, it is not, David.
David Spoon:There you go.
David Spoon:The luminary has spoken.
David Spoon:For those that know what a luminary is, it's got something to do with light.
Jam and Jacob:Luminary.
Jam and Jacob:Luminate.
Jam and Jacob:I got you.
David Spoon:There it is.
David Spoon:See, it's simple, folks.
David Spoon:It's not professional.
David Spoon:It's just radio.
David Spoon:That's all it is.
David Spoon:And so we're looking to see what you think.
David Spoon:Okay, here it is.
David Spoon:You can email us.
David Spoon:Oh, it's almost gone.
David Spoon:That's the.
David Spoon:Right there.
David Spoon:You can email us, David Crease.org.
David Spoon:that's David.org.
David Spoon:you can text us.
David Spoon: -: David Spoon: -: David Spoon:Now, we're going to tell you this because we think it might work.
David Spoon:You can even try and call us.
David Spoon:We don't know if it'll work, but we'll give it a shot.
David Spoon:Okay, Give it a shot.
David Spoon:If you want to try.
David Spoon: -: David Spoon: -: David Spoon:If it does work, then you will end up talking to Jamming Jacob.
David Spoon:And talking to Jammin Jacob is like waking up and feeling like you got a great night's sleep.
Jam and Jacob:Thank you, David.
Jam and Jacob:Happy Wednesday.
Jam and Jacob:I didn't expect you to not drag out the Jam and Jacob.
David Spoon:I know that was my fault because I was going to tell you.
David Spoon:I think it's fader two and three.
David Spoon:If you bring them both down together, I think that might work.
David Spoon:We'll see how that works.
Jam and Jacob:Okay, gotcha.
David Spoon:All right, so here's the bottom line.
David Spoon:You're gonna have a chance to call and you can have a chance to text throughout the show or email.
David Spoon:So we're gonna tell you why you can do that.
David Spoon:You can do a praise report.
David Spoon:And the Lord has been good to you.
David Spoon:Come on, folks.
David Spoon:Has the Lord been good?
David Spoon:The Lord's been good to me, and so I thank the Lord.
David Spoon:Okay, he's been good to you.
David Spoon:Give praise, give acknowledgement.
David Spoon:Maybe you've got a prayer request.
David Spoon:You got something going on.
David Spoon:Wowzer, Bowser, Just get her done.
David Spoon:Let's just petition the Lord.
David Spoon:Ask him and watch the kingdom of God invade the kingdom of men and change things.
David Spoon:How cool is that?
David Spoon:Maybe you've got a scripture you want to cover.
David Spoon:Maybe you've Got a comment?
David Spoon:Maybe you've got something going on.
David Spoon:Maybe.
David Spoon:Wait a minute.
David Spoon:Maybe.
David Spoon:Maybe you have an answer to Bible trivia.
David Spoon:Who was Jacob's grandfather?
David Spoon:Who was Jacob's grandfather?
David Spoon:I direct you to Genesis 22, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7.
David Spoon:Those are your reference points.
David Spoon:Who was Jacob's grandfather?
David Spoon: -: David Spoon:We don't know if it'll work, but try.
David Spoon: -: David Spoon:That would be very helpful as we are doing our best operating on what we consider to be a severed cable that makes things not go so well in the station.
David Spoon:Who knows what's going on there anyway?
David Spoon:Who was Jacob's granddad?
David Spoon:Who was Jacob's granddad?
David Spoon:Not too difficult.
David Spoon:If you think you can give an answer, try that.
David Spoon: -: David Spoon: -: David Spoon:When you hear today's message, you will be going, never mind.
David Spoon:That's all I'm going to say.
David Spoon:D D stands for Draw closer to the Lord daily.
David Spoon:So when Jesus said, father, who art thou in heaven?
David Spoon:I was just talking about this with my son yesterday.
David Spoon:Hallowed be thy name.
David Spoon:Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
David Spoon:Give us this day our daily bread.
David Spoon:He did not say, give us our daily bread tomorrow.
David Spoon:In fact, the opposite.
David Spoon:He said, take no thought for tomorrow, for sufficient today is the evil thereof.
David Spoon:And we get so caught up in what's coming that we're not living in what is.
David Spoon:And we need to spend time with the Lord now.
David Spoon:And when we do that, that helps us encounter and overcome that which is coming.
David Spoon:D Draw closer to the Lord daily.
David Spoon:N Never be ashamed of Jesus words.
David Spoon:Never.
David Spoon:Jesus said, if you're ashamed of me and my words, when I come in the glory from my Father with the holy angels, I'll be ashamed of you.
David Spoon:I cannot think of a worse way to start eternity than having Jesus ashamed of me.
David Spoon:Never be ashamed of what Jesus had to say.
David Spoon:Never be ashamed of his words.
David Spoon:Never be ashamed of his truth.
David Spoon:Never be ashamed of the word of God.
David Spoon:Never and then a, always be ready.
Jam and Jacob:To serve.
David Spoon:To serve.
David Spoon:And I said in the earlier part of the show, the first 30 minutes I had a chance to bless somebody.
David Spoon:Didn't even realize I was that much of a blessing.
David Spoon:That blessing that they received, they poured it back on me tenfold by sharing with me that it blessed them.
David Spoon:Let me explain something to you.
David Spoon:You want to be blessed, be a blessing.
David Spoon:How's that for an answer?
David Spoon:Do you want to be a blessed person?
David Spoon:You want to be blessed?
David Spoon:You'll never beat God giving.
David Spoon:You can't beat God giving no matter how.
David Spoon:How hard you try.
David Spoon:Yeah.
David Spoon:So here's the deal.
David Spoon:Be a blessing to the people of God and watch God pour it back on you tenfold.
David Spoon:That's right.
David Spoon:You think I'm kidding?
David Spoon:Really try and out give God.
David Spoon:He started the whole process by giving his one and only Son.
David Spoon:Best that can be given.
David Spoon:Your turn.
David Spoon:Get it cool.
David Spoon:D.
David Spoon:Draw closer to the Lord daily and never be ashamed of Jesus or his words.
David Spoon:A Always be ready to serve, to be that blessing.
David Spoon:Do it to the glory of the Lord.
David Spoon:Okay, our trivia question.
David Spoon:Pretty simple actually.
David Spoon:Let's think about this.
David Spoon:In regards to parenting, who was Jacob's granddad?
David Spoon:You should know that by the formula that is used multiple times in the New and the Old Testament involving Jacob.
David Spoon:That's all I'm going to say.
David Spoon:If you can reach out to us, do so.
David Spoon:If you can't, it's okie dokie.
David Spoon:You get what I'm saying?
David Spoon:All right, Cool.
David Spoon:All right, get ready.
David Spoon:I hope you're ready, actually.
David Spoon:I hope you're prepared.
David Spoon:And I do.
David Spoon:Because this may not be as smooth for some as they would like it.
David Spoon:That doesn't mean I don't love you.
David Spoon:And you do not have to agree with everything I say.
David Spoon:I don't agree with everything I said 20 years ago.
David Spoon:Maybe five years ago, but not 20 years ago.
David Spoon:It's okay.
David Spoon:Whatever you can pull out of this to get closer to the Lord, that.
David Spoon:That's the goal.
David Spoon:I don't know what you think the goal is.
David Spoon:I mean, what are you going to do in eternity?
David Spoon:You think you're just going to have some property and you're just going to landscape your property for 50 trillion years?
David Spoon:You're going to be hanging out with God, right?
David Spoon:Okay, let's understand something.
David Spoon:First Timothy 4.
David Spoon:1.
David Spoon:Now the Holy Spirit tells us clearly that in the last times, some will turn away from the true faith.
David Spoon:They will follow deceptive spirits and teachings that come from demons.
David Spoon:Teachings that come from demons.
David Spoon:Nobody in the World who's a Christian wants to follow teachings that comes from demons, do you?
David Spoon:Nobody wants to be deceived by deceptive spirits, right?
David Spoon:So we already know that the teachings that go on in society that say that men can be women and women can be men, we already know without a shadow of a doubt those are just lies, demonic teachings.
David Spoon:Most Christians go, yeah, I get that.
David Spoon: ary to what God says, Genesis: David Spoon:It's a sin to take the life in the womb because they're people, they're children, and that's what God calls them.
David Spoon:We already know that.
David Spoon:We know the people that are fine, that they're just.
David Spoon:Come on, that's okay.
David Spoon:What is that?
David Spoon:That's not even that deceptive in the concept of if you're a Christian, you're like, yeah, that's wrong.
David Spoon:Yeah, we get that.
David Spoon:We understand it's wrong to worship government over God.
David Spoon:Get it?
David Spoon:We get it.
David Spoon:We know that.
David Spoon:It doesn't matter whether it's cradle to the grave man tell it or not.
David Spoon:We understand that the big G is to be worshiped and the little G is not to be worshiped.
David Spoon:In fact, the bigger issue is whether the little G, depending on what country it is, is actually functioning under the influence of the dragon.
David Spoon:But that's a whole separate issue for a different teach at a different time.
David Spoon:Here's where you gotta watch it.
David Spoon:The Christians who absolutely believe the word of God is true.
David Spoon:What we have to watch as Bible believing, born again Christians are teachings that use part truths to establish themselves.
David Spoon:What scripture is concerned about or communicating to us for our sake is for us to be so knowledgeable of the truth that when something deceptive comes that's close, we can absolutely know it's not the truth.
David Spoon:When you study things that are genuine, you understand what they're supposed to be and what they're supposed to look like, what they're supposed to sound like, what they're supposed to feel like.
David Spoon:When people offer something that's counterfeit, you're able to tell because you know the genuine so well.
David Spoon:Something that's been taught, and I believe it's absolutely correct, and I have taught it for a long time, is the understanding on how to find a counterfeit bill is not to study all the counterfeit bills.
David Spoon:There are way too many.
David Spoon:The way that you know if a bill is counterfeit or not is to know every nuance of the genuine article.
David Spoon:And therefore you're able to discern and tell what is not because you know what the genuine one is.
David Spoon:That principle folds right into us.
David Spoon:Knowing what the word of God says and being so involved in the word of God that when somebody comes up with a teaching that's partly spiritual, but that feeds our flesh.
David Spoon:Uh oh.
David Spoon:Uh oh.
David Spoon:What are we talking about, Dave?
David Spoon:Well, we're talking a little bit about self empowerment.
David Spoon:Self empowerment.
David Spoon:Because what does self empowerment count on?
David Spoon:Self.
David Spoon:What is the Christian supposed to count on?
David Spoon:Jesus.
David Spoon:So wait, so you tell me that I, you know, in doing things, I gotta be, you know, careful about, you know, like, you know, focusing on me?
David Spoon:Yes.
David Spoon:And when you're doing things just for you, you're being selfish.
David Spoon:It's not that you do nothing for you, but you can't do everything for you.
David Spoon:Do you understand that difference?
David Spoon:And so one of the big things that goes into this is understanding that when you have things like this or the law of attraction, if you put it out there, it'll come back to you the exact same way.
David Spoon:Which, by the way, is a ripoff of karma, which, by the way, was a ripoff of Galatians, chapter six, verse six, actually verse seven.
David Spoon:And that kind of karma didn't come around till about 900 A.D.
David Spoon:so it was never originally in their philosophy.
David Spoon:But here's the nail on the head.
David Spoon:When we do things for self, then the Lord has a question for us.
David Spoon:You know what the question is?
David Spoon:What will it gain?
David Spoon:What will a man gain if he.
David Spoon:If he has the whole world but loses his soul?
David Spoon:That's a pretty strong teaching.
David Spoon:I mean, I can control the entire world.
David Spoon:Yep.
David Spoon:Like Satan does in many ways.
David Spoon:Right.
David Spoon:But still, under the hand of God.
David Spoon:Can't be done without God.
David Spoon:But the whole purpose is to gain the whole world.
David Spoon:Or is the whole purpose to honor God, our creator?
David Spoon:Well, gotta serve somebody.
David Spoon:Might be the devil and it might be the Lord, but you gotta serve somebody.
David Spoon:Because it's not about self empowerment because self has a lot of problems with it.
David Spoon:Get it?
David Spoon:All right, who was Jacob's granddad?
David Spoon:Granddaddy.
David Spoon:Who's my granddaddy?
David Spoon:Jacob's granddad was Abraham.
David Spoon:Abraham, Isaac, Jacob.
David Spoon:Abraham, Isaac, Jacob.
David Spoon:That's the formula.
David Spoon:Take a short break and then we'll come back.
David Spoon:You're listening to the David Spoon Experience right here on KAM 770, the Truth Station here in Texas.
David Spoon:Short break.
David Spoon:We'll be back.
David Spoon:Don't go anywhere.
Jason:Well, since we're being honest.
Jason:So last week I was diagnosed with cancer.
Jason:And that has been the biggest red flag we actually thought.
Jason:And I know God heals.
Jason:I Believe God heals.
Jason:We actually thought I was going to begin surgery tomorrow, and I would have been out for about a month, which means everyone would have to do the conference without me.
Jason:And that was going to be a big deal.
Jason:We're keeping our faith.
Jason:We're keeping our head up.
Jason:We're going to keep working hard.
Jason:Praise God that my surgery was delayed to after conference.
Jason:And so really, this conference will actually be the last time I get to speak for probably a good two or three months because of the surgery, I won't be able to speak.
Jason:And even if you hear me now, I'm speaking kind of not as strong as normal, but I'm kind of excited this weekend.
Jason:This conference is going to be my chance to say everything I need to say about Jesus and his love for people.
Jason:And hopefully God can use my story as an example that no matter what you go through, you still have a calling, you still have a purpose.
Jason:You don't.
Jason:Don't let.
Jason:Don't let trial stop you from doing what God has called you to do.
Jason:So I'm looking for.
Jason:I'm thankful I get to be here for the conference, but that's definitely, you know, been some challenges to get ready for it, but it's going to be amazing.
:All right, so there's a great thing that comes out of this from a scriptural point of view that I know, you know, but sometimes hearing it from a third party is always a helpful element.
David Spoon:And that is.
:The Apostle Paul was specific in saying that my speech might not be that great, but don't misunderstand the representation and the power of the kingdom of God and the Holy Spirit that operates through me.
:And so, you know, you can just sit there and say, you know, there's a connection there between what he went through, because they were making fun of.
David Spoon:The way he talked right up until he came, and that changed in a hurry.
:And so the idea is to understand that.
:And then also not a mark of maybe dancing, but a mark of notice would be that you're doing this conference and there's a great deal of warfare that's coming against you.
David Spoon:That's got to tell you, well, the.
:Enemy doesn't move in warfare if there's no purpose to move in warfare.
David Spoon:That's right.
:I tell people, Christians, when they go, oh, well, his enemy doesn't care about me.
:Well, because I never hear him or I never.
David Spoon:It's like, that's a problem.
David Spoon:That's not a plus.
David Spoon:That's a negative.
David Spoon:Yes.
David Spoon:That means you are no threat to any kingdom.
David Spoon:Anywhere.
:And that is not good.
David Spoon:Let's pray.
David Spoon:Can I pray for you?
David Spoon:So, Father, we come before you right now.
:We pray in the name of Jesus that you would just touch Jason in this surgery process.
:We know that you can heal.
:We know that you mend.
:We know that you help people recover, but you also help people accomplish the tasks assigned to them.
:And what we pray for is a peace for him and his family.
:And we pray for a strength, an energy almost talked about in Colossians, where you give the people the energy to accomplish.
:And we pray for that energy to work through him, through you, so he can finish the task that was set before him and recognize everything he's doing here has kingdom and eternal value and nothing should take away from that.
:We pray that in Jesus name.
David Spoon:The David Spoon Experience.
David Spoon:Welcome back to the David Spoon Experience.
David Spoon:Thank you for joining us here at KAM 770, the Truth Station here in Texas.
David Spoon:That's Kaaman 770, the Truth Station here in Texas.
David Spoon:All righty.
David Spoon:Let's get ready for our next trivia question.
David Spoon:You guys ready for it?
David Spoon:You ready?
David Spoon:You ready?
David Spoon:Okay, here we go.
David Spoon:Who dreamed that the sun and the moon and eleven stars bowed down to Him?
David Spoon:Genesis 37:9.
David Spoon:Genesis 37:9.
David Spoon:Who dreamed that the sun and the moon and eleven stars bowed down to him?
David Spoon:Genesis chapter 37, verse 9.
David Spoon:There you go.
David Spoon:There.
David Spoon:If you think, you know, I should probably tell you what you can do, you can try and call.
David Spoon:Is that a nice way to say that?
David Spoon: -: David Spoon:So right there, whatever you did, the humming went up just a little bit.
David Spoon:Now it's gone.
David Spoon:Right there.
David Spoon:It's gone.
David Spoon:Whatever it is.
David Spoon:Maybe it's just a short.
David Spoon: -: David Spoon:Now it's back.
David Spoon: -: David Spoon:We are having phone problems.
David Spoon: -: David Spoon:That's perfect right there, just in case you want to know.
David Spoon:Okay.
David Spoon:All right.
David Spoon:So who dreamed that the sun and the moon and 11 stars bowed down to him?
David Spoon:Now think about where this is.
David Spoon:This is genes.
David Spoon:Genesis 37.
David Spoon:9.
David Spoon:37 9.
David Spoon:Okay.
David Spoon:Okay.
David Spoon:It's all right.
David Spoon:All right.
David Spoon:Okay, good.
David Spoon:Okay.
David Spoon:So here's the next thing we want to get into.
David Spoon:I want to really get this.
David Spoon:I just.
David Spoon:Please let me get through this.
David Spoon:This is so, so, so, so, so, so important.
David Spoon:Okay.
David Spoon:All right, cool.
David Spoon:Philippians 4:13, you guys should know it.
David Spoon:It should be tattooed to you.
David Spoon:It should be a part of you.
David Spoon:I can do all things through him who strengthens me.
David Spoon:Let's understand what's being conveyed.
David Spoon:Confidence, ability, overcoming possibility.
David Spoon:Do you hear what I said?
David Spoon:Listen, you can do anything through Jesus, but I want to make sure we get a big understanding that is anything kingdom oriented.
David Spoon:It doesn't mean that you can do things for your flesh.
David Spoon:It doesn't mean you can do things for the kingdom of darkness.
David Spoon:It doesn't mean you can do things just for your own consumption.
David Spoon:It means that anything that has to do with Jesus, anything that has to do with the kingdom of God, anything that's taking place, anything that can bring glory to the Lord, you can do that through Jesus.
David Spoon:When people get upset that athletes use that, I don't think it should be so upsetting.
David Spoon:If the athlete genuinely has a dependence on the Lord, people say, I can do it.
David Spoon:I can do all things through Christ.
David Spoon:That's what got me through this.
David Spoon:You know, I don't have a problem with that if that person's being sincere.
David Spoon:Okay, I'm not telling you that everybody is or isn't sincere.
David Spoon:I'm saying if they have a genuine dependence.
David Spoon:No, that's not the main thrust of the scripture.
David Spoon:I can run a race.
David Spoon:That's what it says in Philippians 4:13.
David Spoon:But if a person is genuinely dependent on the Lord, I sometimes am dependent on the Lord to drive without crashing.
David Spoon:I think that that applies to 4:13.
David Spoon:I can do it through Christ.
David Spoon:And so I don't see anything wrong with that.
David Spoon:I see everything right with that.
David Spoon:Actually, I see everything marvelous with that.
David Spoon:So the idea behind it is to understand that in a realm of confidence, in the realm of ability, in the realm of overcoming, in the realm of possibility, anything can be done through Jesus that has the kingdom flair.
David Spoon:At the same time, there's another passage.
David Spoon:John chapter 15, verse 4 and 5 remain in me, and I also remain in you.
David Spoon:No branch can bear fruit by itself.
David Spoon:It must remain in the vine.
David Spoon:Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me.
David Spoon:I am the vine, you are the branches.
David Spoon:If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit apart from me.
David Spoon:You can do nothing.
David Spoon:Now you're sitting there and think, well, he just said, I can do all things through him, and now without him, I can do nothing.
David Spoon:Same principle, same exact thing.
David Spoon:This has to do with kingdom element.
David Spoon:In fact, Jesus context has to do with bearing fruit.
David Spoon:You can't do Christianity without Christ.
David Spoon:Oh, there's a lot of people that try.
David Spoon:And if you don't think so, I'll help you out.
David Spoon:This will just define it.
David Spoon:These are the same people that say, well, the real meaning of Christmas is all about the spirit of family, or it's all about the spirit of this, or it's all about the spirit of that.
David Spoon:And it's like it's all about Jesus.
David Spoon:And if it's not, then you're not doing Christmas to honor God, period.
David Spoon:Jesus is the reason for this season.
David Spoon:If you don't get that, you don't get it, period.
David Spoon:And so Jesus is like, you can't do anything without me.
David Spoon:You can't do any kingdom stuff, anything moving forward.
David Spoon:You can't do any overcoming, any victory, any freedom from sin.
David Spoon:You can't get the prayers answered, you can't get the things right.
David Spoon:You can't get your brain right without Jesus.
David Spoon:That's what he's saying.
David Spoon:So on one hand you hear him saying, you can do anything through me.
David Spoon:On the other hand, he's saying, you can't do anything without me, right?
David Spoon:All geared in one direction.
David Spoon:And then you gotta sit there and you have to just think, why?
David Spoon:Why is this?
David Spoon:Why?
David Spoon:And the answer is the most important part.
David Spoon:Why can't you do anything without Him?
David Spoon:And why can you do everything through Him?
David Spoon:Ah, now we're getting into it.
David Spoon:Because everything that the Lord operates in your life is coordinated, connected to his plan.
David Spoon:And what people tend to forget is God is for the non believer, trying to get them to be believers, so to speak, and for the believers to have them grow as believers.
David Spoon:And the idea behind this is to understand this passage.
David Spoon:It'll blow your mind which one I'm going to use.
David Spoon:You're probably thinking we used a different one.
David Spoon:I'm going to surprise you.
David Spoon:James 4, 13, 17.
David Spoon:Now listen, you who say, today or tomorrow we will go to this or to that city, will spend a year there, and will carry on business and make money.
David Spoon:Wow, that just sounds like planning, right?
David Spoon:But verse 14 says, why?
David Spoon:You don't even know what will happen tomorrow.
David Spoon:What is your life?
David Spoon:You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes.
David Spoon:Instead you ought to say, if it's the Lord's will, we will live and do this or that.
David Spoon:Verse 16.
David Spoon:As it is, you boast in your arrogant schemes.
David Spoon:All such boasting is evil.
David Spoon:If anyone then knows the good, they ought to do and doesn't do it.
David Spoon:It is a sin for them.
David Spoon:Everything.
David Spoon:We do everything.
David Spoon:Oh, boy.
David Spoon:People don't like that.
David Spoon:No, Dave.
David Spoon:No.
David Spoon:I go to church.
David Spoon:No.
David Spoon:I give offerings.
David Spoon:I pay tithes.
David Spoon:I sponsor children in foreign countries.
David Spoon:I do all of these things.
David Spoon:And I give God full Sundays.
David Spoon:I give them Wednesday nights.
David Spoon:I even do a Bible study.
David Spoon:I do this, I do this.
David Spoon:I do this.
David Spoon:Everything comes down to your plan or God's plan.
David Spoon:Everything comes down to that.
David Spoon:I understand.
David Spoon:It's not evil to make plans.
David Spoon:It's evil to make plans and not submit them to God and say, if it is thine will.
David Spoon:That is what Jesus taught us in the garden when he had this moment where he said, well, you know, if this thing could pass, I kind of like that.
David Spoon:Right.
David Spoon:Didn't say it that way, but you get what's going on.
David Spoon:And he said, nevertheless, not my will, but thy will be done.
David Spoon:Jesus wanted to have a redirect in the plan.
David Spoon:If it was able to happen, it wasn't able to happen.
David Spoon:And if Jesus has a redirect opportunity and the Father says no, how about you and me bet?
David Spoon:Doesn't mean Jesus didn't ask.
David Spoon:You're welcome to ask.
David Spoon:You're welcome to plan.
David Spoon:You're welcome to do all this as long as you submit it to God.
David Spoon:And here's the big key.
David Spoon:You're not God.
David Spoon:Jesus is God.
David Spoon:So you bring it before the Lord and you lay it at his feet, and you say, if it is thy will.
David Spoon:And if not, let your will be done.
David Spoon:Right?
David Spoon:Wow.
David Spoon:Wow, wow.
David Spoon:All right, let's answer the trivia question real quickly.
David Spoon:Who dreamed that the sun and the moon and the 11 stars bowed down to him?
David Spoon:Who was that?
David Spoon:Genesis 37.
David Spoon:9.
David Spoon:It was Joseph.
David Spoon:Not doing himself any big favors with his brothers, that's for sure.
David Spoon:It was Joseph.
David Spoon:Okay, we will take a short break and then come back.
David Spoon:You're listening to the David Spoon Experience right here on KAM 770, the Truth Station here in Texas.
David Spoon:Short break.
David Spoon:We'll be back.
David Spoon:Don't go anywhere.
Jennifer:Hey there.
Jennifer:It's amazing Jennifer.
Jennifer:And I am helping out the David Spoon Experience.
Jennifer:As you may know, I basically run the KAM radio station.
David Spoon:Amazing.
Jennifer:And Dr.

Jennifer:Now, you may be thinking, well, I'd love to get involved, but I'm not very qualified for ministerial positions.

Jennifer:And you seek to live by the power of the Holy Spirit.

:The Christian faith is being attacked.
:50 years ago people would disagree with Christianity.
:But with a sense of respect, those days are over.
:The rage, the flesh the enemy and the atmosphere of sin is growing and growing.
:Jesus said in Matthew 24 the love of many will grow cold.
:And if it's not the end now, it's certainly a lot closer than it was yesterday.
:You may be from a Baptist background.
:David Spoon has that.
:You may have a Pentecostal background.
:He has that too.
:You may have a non denominational background.
:Yep, he's got that as well.
:You may be from the Church of Christ, Presbyterian Methodist Church of God or some other denomination.
:But if you're looking for a show that's Bible based, spirit led and a bit nutty, give David a listen for a while.
:If you like it, great.
:If not, no worries.
:The David Spoon Experience A big portion.
David Spoon:Of being guided is asking prayer.
David Spoon:When you're praying with people, fellowship amongst other people can lead you to guidance.
David Spoon:It's happened on more than one occasion.
David Spoon:For me, counsel is obviously very good, both spiritual and not necessarily biblical.
David Spoon:Also, practical counsel is good.
David Spoon:Circumstances often speak to us and give us guidance.
David Spoon:Open doors or for that fact, closed doors.
David Spoon:We know His Word gives us guidance.
David Spoon:We know in 2nd Corinthians 2, 13 and 14 Paul said that he used peace of mind as an aspect of guidance.
David Spoon:These are all the Holy Spirit leading and guiding us is of course the number one element for guidance is to be led by the Spirit.
David Spoon:Right?
David Spoon:These are all hugely important.
David Spoon:The David Spoon Experience oh, welcome back to the David Spoon Experience.
David Spoon:Thank you for joining us here at KAM 770, the Truth Station here in Texas.
David Spoon:That's K double Amen 770 the Truth Station here in Texas.
David Spoon:Let's see if you can get this next trivia question.
David Spoon:I was going to do a much more unique one, but I'm going to stick with this one.
David Spoon:First, to which of Paul's disciples did he write from a child?
David Spoon:You have known the Holy Scriptures which are able to make you wise unto salvation through faith, which is in Christ Jesus.
David Spoon:Who did he write that?
David Spoon:2.
David Spoon:He wrote this to one of his disciples.
David Spoon:From a child you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise unto salvation through faith, which is in Christ Jesus.
David Spoon:Who did Paul write that to?
David Spoon:That's the question.
David Spoon:If you think you know the answer.
David Spoon:We don't think the phone is working, by the way.
David Spoon:We haven't.
David Spoon:I don't know if anybody's tried to call, so maybe somebody could just try and see if it works.
David Spoon: -: David Spoon:That' I love live radio, though.
David Spoon:You just don't know.
David Spoon:It's like, it makes it exciting for me.
David Spoon:All right.
David Spoon: -: David Spoon: -: David Spoon:Or you can send an email, David crease.org okay, now this is the time where I send you up to the website.
David Spoon:Why do I send you up to the website?
David Spoon:Because we need money to make the ministry go.
David Spoon:Cause we're a nonprofit entity.
David Spoon:If you give to this ministry, we will not give you a whistle, we will not give you a donut, and we will not promise you a Lamborghini.
David Spoon:You give unto the Lord with a right heart and a right spirit, making sure that you're giving it unto Him.
David Spoon:Now that the election is technically mostly over, no more excuses for saying, I want to wait and see what happens.
David Spoon:That's kind of gone.
David Spoon:Okay?
David Spoon:I'll just leave that there.
David Spoon:Here's your passage to encourage giving.
David Spoon:Luke 6:38.
David Spoon:Give and it will be given to you.
David Spoon:Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over will be put into your lap.
David Spoon:For with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you.
David Spoon:Now, who do you think is doing the measuring back to you?
David Spoon:When Jesus says that that's God, does that mean if you give a hundred dollars, you get $110 back or something?
David Spoon:No, it doesn't mean any of that.
David Spoon:It just means that you in fact give unto the Lord and he will out give you, period.
David Spoon:Okay, check it out.
David Spoon:Plus, we got so much cool stuff on the website right now, it's crazy.
David Spoon:Check out that the website and place to give and all the other stuff at he must increase.org prayer request praise report.
David Spoon:He must increase.org looking to give to this ministry.
David Spoon:He must increase.org confused by what's happening right now.
David Spoon:He must increase.org he must increase.org yay.
David Spoon:It's so happy, isn't It.
David Spoon:You remember back in.
David Spoon:I know everybody had their problems behind the scenes and stuff, but it was such a happier time on television.
David Spoon:It was just happy.
David Spoon:You know, we were talking about that we watch a show every once in a while.
David Spoon:We don't tell you all the shows we watch.
David Spoon:We watch a comedy show out of Canada.
David Spoon:And it's just like.
David Spoon:There's just never anything bad or mean or super negative.
David Spoon:It's just goofy.
David Spoon:I like goofy.
David Spoon:Goofy is good.
David Spoon:Not just the dog either.
David Spoon:Okay, so in the meantime, before we do anything else, I did find out from somebody.
David Spoon:The phone is.
David Spoon:It's ringing busy.
David Spoon:The phone rings busy.
David Spoon:So just people can know that.
David Spoon:Okay, good to know.
David Spoon:Right.
David Spoon:In the meantime, though, we will do his to.
David Spoon:All right.
David Spoon:I am going to say that for November 6th.
David Spoon:There are some pretty cool little things in November 6th.
David Spoon:So let me do the first one I think is pretty good.
David Spoon:This is really for my wife.
David Spoon:You need to understand this, because my wife absolutely, positively.
David Spoon:There's two things in the world she loves the most, and this is one of them.
David Spoon:Today is National Nachos Day.
David Spoon:There is no way that's bad.
Jam and Jacob:I ate nachos last night.
David Spoon:See, that's one of her favorite.
David Spoon:That for her, for Noelle, it's that and tacos.
David Spoon:It's just tacos and nachos.
David Spoon:It's just like.
Jam and Jacob:Can't go wrong with both.
David Spoon:I mean, she just loves it.
David Spoon:Number two, it says technically supposed to be the last day for pumpkin destruction day.
David Spoon:So you shouldn't have any pumpkins laying around.
David Spoon:I don't know.
David Spoon:Doesn't really have any bearing on me.
David Spoon:The other thing I thought was amazing.
David Spoon:And I'll tell you two other things.
David Spoon: One, in: David Spoon:Wow, that's a.
David Spoon:If you took that fact into your home and you had a family dinner and you could say, do you know what was played on this day?
David Spoon: In: David Spoon: And finally,: David Spoon:Now, most people might not care, but somebody like myself who doesn't use a lot of hair, I have a phenomenal electric razor that works on the top of my head.
David Spoon:It's so great.
David Spoon:I love it.
David Spoon:It's wonderful.
David Spoon:And I've only had it for like the last two years, so I just think it's awesome.
David Spoon:And so I say, thank you, Colonel Jacob Schick, for getting that patented.
David Spoon:Okay.
David Spoon:There you go.
David Spoon:That's right.
David Spoon:I'm just saying that.
David Spoon:All right, your trivia question.
David Spoon:To whom of Paul's young disciples, to whom do you say, from a child you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise unto salvation through faith, which is in Christ Jesus.
David Spoon:Quick reference to that.
David Spoon:If you have not accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, you accept him in your heart by faith.
David Spoon:You ask for forgiveness for your sins, you give your heart to him and ask him to be the Lord and the Savior of your life.
David Spoon:Savior is saving you from sin.
David Spoon:Lord is the one who directs your life.
David Spoon:And you will receive the gift that comes from Jesus Christ being your Lord and Savior, which is an awesome eternity.
David Spoon:That's a pretty good deal right there for people.
David Spoon:Let's go back to the text.
David Spoon:I want to make sure you do not miss this.
David Spoon:Nothing without him, everything with him, everything has to be submitted to the plan of God.
David Spoon:Yielded to the plan of God.
David Spoon:Why is this important?
David Spoon:I will tell you why it's important.
David Spoon: Acts: David Spoon:The God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth.
David Spoon:And he does not live in temples built by human hands.
David Spoon:And he is not served by human hands as if he needed anything.
David Spoon:Rather, He Himself gives everyone life and breath and everything else.
David Spoon:The phrase He Himself gives G I V E S in the Greek is perfect present tense for continual breathing.
David Spoon:In other words, God gives every breath to every person.
David Spoon:And because every breath comes to every person by the gift and the grace of God, this is a key component on why it ain't all about you.
David Spoon:It's a key component to understand.
David Spoon:He does this for a very specific reason.
David Spoon:And I'm going to get to that because it's an amazing, amazing, amazing verse.
David Spoon:But I want you to understand something.
David Spoon:You and I, I just want to make sure we understand this dealing with Name it and claim it Self empowerment, Law of attraction.
David Spoon:You and I are entitled to nothing.
David Spoon:Everybody goes, well, I'm entitled to this, that, that.
David Spoon:No, you're not.
David Spoon:You're not entitled to your next breath.
David Spoon:No person on earth is entitled to their breath.
David Spoon:It is a gift from God.
David Spoon:You're not entitled to the gift.
David Spoon:He grants it because he's gracious.
David Spoon:Why if Tell it to God, tell God I have rights.
David Spoon:Well, I live in this country.
David Spoon:You're on God's planet.
David Spoon:Which, by the way, is his footstool.
David Spoon:Your little G doesn't run anything.
David Spoon:All these other little GS, they don't run anything.
David Spoon:We've said it before and I will say it again.
David Spoon:If everybody had their blinders off or just one minute and we saw all the angels and demons all around us, there'd be more heart attacks in this planet than there have ever been combined.
David Spoon:People would just be like plopping right over.
David Spoon:So what we need to understand is if every breath comes from God, why is that so important?
David Spoon:What's this so important to God?
David Spoon:What's this all about?
David Spoon:I'm going to tell you right now what the most important thing is.
David Spoon:It comes out of 1 Corinthians 3, 9, which most people won't even see as the answer, but it is the answer.
David Spoon:And it says this for we are God's co workers in his service.
David Spoon:What?
David Spoon:Wait, here's the reason you get to breathe because God wants to partner with you.
David Spoon:Here's the reason you get to keep going.
David Spoon:Because God likes to partner with people.
David Spoon:You know, he partnered with mankind and writing the Bible between mankind, 40, almost 40 authors, and the Holy Spirit.
David Spoon:The Bible was written.
David Spoon:He partnered with mankind when Jesus became one of us.
David Spoon:He partnered with mankind when he gave us life in the first place.
David Spoon:When the plan of redemption came about, he gave us this understanding of partnership when the book of Revelation was written so we could see that God is looking forward to spending eternity with us in a new heavens and a new earth.
David Spoon:This is about partnership with God and everything else that people come up with is just baloney.
David Spoon:Because when it's all said and done, those that want to partner with God and do partner with God are going to spend eternity with God.
David Spoon:And those that reject are going to spend eternity apart from God.
David Spoon:And for everybody that goes, well, hell's not real.
David Spoon:Jesus defined hell in about 14 different places as the fire that's never quenched.
David Spoon:So yeah, there's that.
David Spoon:Everything that God has geared for us is for us to partner everything.
David Spoon:And there is nothing else.
David Spoon:And in fact, we're going to give the answer to the trivia question come back.
David Spoon:But when we do, you will hear the ultimate answer for all of it.
David Spoon:I'm not even kidding.
David Spoon:Okay, but going back to the trivia question, who did Paul write?
David Spoon:Which of his young disciples as a child you have known the Holy Scriptures were able to make you wise unto salvation through faith, which is in Christ Jesus.
David Spoon:Who do you write that to?
David Spoon:Timothy 2, Timothy 3, 15, 16.
David Spoon:Timothy was his young protege.
David Spoon:We'll take our break and then come back.
David Spoon:You're listening to the David Spoon Experience right here on KAM 770, the truth stationary in Texas.
David Spoon:Short break we'll be back.
David Spoon:Don't go anywhere.
David Spoon:So he gives the conclusion to the matter.
David Spoon:He says, in Ecclesiastes 2.
David Spoon:I see.
David Spoon:This too.
David Spoon:I see.
David Spoon:Is from the hand of God.
David Spoon:For without him who can eat or find enjoyment, to the person who pleases Him, God gives wisdom, knowledge and happiness.
David Spoon:Only in God is there satisfaction.
David Spoon:He says, this too.
David Spoon:I see, is from the hand of God.
David Spoon:Happiness is from the hand of God.
David Spoon:Verse 13, Ecclesiastes 3, that each of them may eat, drink, and find satisfaction in their toil.
David Spoon:This is the gift of God.
David Spoon:Happiness is a gift.
David Spoon:Satisfaction is a gift.
David Spoon:The graces for appreciating life at its fullness is a gift from God.
David Spoon:And apart from God, it cannot be attained.
David Spoon:Yazza, we're really going to the mat here, huh?
David Spoon:So then you might say, okay, David, and what's the conclusion?
David Spoon:What do you do then to get that whole process going?
David Spoon:Only God can grant lasting happiness, period.
David Spoon:What do we got to do?
David Spoon:Ecclesiastes chapter 12, verse 13.
David Spoon:Now all has been heard, and here is the conclusion of the matter.
David Spoon:Don't you love that?
David Spoon:I mean, the answer is right here in the same book.
David Spoon:And here's the answer.
David Spoon:Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the duty of all mankind.
David Spoon:If you want God to grant you the gift of happiness, you fear him and obey his commandments.
David Spoon:People are like, oh, no, there's got to be something else.
David Spoon:Isn't there medication involved?
David Spoon:Isn't there grandchildren involved?
David Spoon:Isn't there this involved?
David Spoon:Isn't there relationships involved?
David Spoon:Isn't there money involved and power and cars and houses and big TVs?
David Spoon:No.
David Spoon:Wasn't there food and wine?
David Spoon:And what about all the medications?
David Spoon:No.
David Spoon:Well, what about becoming smart and brilliant, knowing and having degrees?
David Spoon:No.
David Spoon:You tell me.
David Spoon:Partying doesn't do anything.
David Spoon:Correct.
David Spoon:You mean building a monument to myself does nothing?
David Spoon:Correct.
David Spoon:Happiness comes as a gift from God only.
David Spoon:And so the conclusion of the matter is simple.
David Spoon:Fear God and keep his commandments.
David Spoon:This is the duty of mankind.
David Spoon:This is the requirement.
David Spoon:Now, to fear God is to be in reverence of God.
David Spoon:Honor, respect, awe and appreciation every day.
David Spoon:Are you in honor, respect, awe and appreciation of God, yes or no?
David Spoon:And do we obey what he tells us to do?
David Spoon:You want to be a successful Christian?
David Spoon:Do what God says.
David Spoon:I'll be a successful Christian.
David Spoon:That means X amount of money in the bank.
:It doesn't.
David Spoon:Jesus didn't.
David Spoon:Jesus didn't die and resurrect a billionaire.
David Spoon:I mean, that's just dumb.
Jennifer:The David Spoon experience.
David Spoon:If Jesus, welcome back to that David Spoon experience.
David Spoon:Thank you for joining us here at KAM 770, the Truth Station here in Texas.
David Spoon:That's K double amen.
David Spoon:770, the Truth Station here in Texas.
David Spoon:Gotta get ready because we are on a beeline to get this done.
David Spoon:Here is your next trivia question.
David Spoon:Some Sadducees asked Jesus about whose wife should be a woman, whose wife a woman would be in the resurrection who had seven husbands.
David Spoon:So Sadist asked Jesus about whose wife should a woman be in the resurrection after she's had seven husbands.
David Spoon:I mean, how are you going to figure that out?
David Spoon:Jesus told them that they erred because they did not know the scripture.
David Spoon:Nor did they know what.
David Spoon:Nor did they know what.
David Spoon:Jesus said.
David Spoon:You are in error because you do not know the scripture.
David Spoon:Nor do you know what is it that they did not know.
David Spoon:At this point, we would just tell you.
David Spoon: -: David Spoon: That's: David Spoon:Or, or you can send an email davidmusincrease.org now, listen, listen.
David Spoon:Let me explain this to you and I'm going to give you a big hint.
David Spoon:The Sadducees, they didn't believe in the resurrection.
David Spoon:So when Jesus said, you don't know the scripture, neither do you know, what did he say.
David Spoon:There you go.
David Spoon:I'm just going to leave that there in the meantime because I really want to.
David Spoon:I've got a couple of jokes I want to do.
David Spoon:Okay?
David Spoon:Is that okay?
David Spoon:All right, here we go.
David Spoon:Ready?
David Spoon:These are really fast.
David Spoon:Okay.
David Spoon:Okay.
David Spoon:Where do turkeys go to dance?
David Spoon:Where do turkeys go to dance?
David Spoon:The Butterball.
David Spoon:The Butterball.
Jam and Jacob:I knew it was something.
David Spoon:Ball.
Jam and Jacob:I was trying to think of it.
David Spoon:How do you make a fire with two sticks?
David Spoon:How do you make a fire with two sticks?
Jam and Jacob:You set them on fire.
David Spoon:No, you make sure one is a match.
David Spoon:Yeah, that's pretty good, actually.
David Spoon:That's good.
David Spoon:That was good.
David Spoon:Listen to this one.
David Spoon:Listen to this.
David Spoon:This is a good one.
David Spoon:What is at the end of everything?
David Spoon:What is at the end of everything?
David Spoon:The letter G is at the end everything.
David Spoon:Now listen, I'm gonna give you one more hint and then I'm gonna go into this teaching.
David Spoon:Listen, Jesus goes, you err not knowing the scriptures, neither the what?
David Spoon:Because they don't believe in the resurrection.
David Spoon:What would he say?
David Spoon:What would he say?
David Spoon:Jeff Dixon.
David Spoon:Got it.
David Spoon:Good job.
David Spoon:All right.
David Spoon:And I know I'm not giving the reference I'm just making it a little harder.
David Spoon:Just leave it alone.
David Spoon:Okay, well, when we have our phone lines and everything's working, we'll get back to that, but not yet.
David Spoon:Here it is.
David Spoon:I want to give you the coolest passage ever.
David Spoon:I pray this every single day in my life.
David Spoon:Every day.
David Spoon:This is Moses and God hanging out, having a convo.
David Spoon:I love it when the Lord has conversations with people.
David Spoon:I'm just, like, all so into it.
David Spoon:Like, you know, Sergio's talking about how he saw.
David Spoon:I love that stuff.
David Spoon:Here's what Moses said.
David Spoon:Moses said to him, if your presence does not go with us, do not send us from here.
David Spoon:How will anyone know that you are pleased with me and with your people unless you go with us?
David Spoon:What else will distinguish me and your people from all the other people on the face of the earth?
David Spoon:And the Lord said to Moses, I will do the very thing you have asked because I am pleased with you, and I know you by name.
David Spoon: Exodus: David Spoon:Then Moses said, now show me your glory.
David Spoon:What?
David Spoon:Moses had spent plenty of time with the Lord in the presence of the Lord.
David Spoon:And the presence of the Lord was with Mo.
David Spoon:And they were doing all this stuff.
David Spoon:They were doing just phenomenal, cool stuff, right?
David Spoon:You got the commandments.
David Spoon:You got this going on.
David Spoon:You got this going on.
David Spoon:Just, oh, Mo's hanging out.
David Spoon:And he goes through all of this time with God, so much so that his face is glowing.
David Spoon:He's back up there talking to God.
David Spoon:And what does he say?
David Spoon:He says, you got to go with us.
David Spoon:We're not going anywhere unless you go with us.
David Spoon:I'm going to go with you.
David Spoon:I'm with you, Mo.
David Spoon:Don't worry about it.
David Spoon:And Mo's like, more.
David Spoon:More?
David Spoon:What do you mean, more?
David Spoon:Moses wanted more.
David Spoon:You see that?
David Spoon:Therein lies the key.
David Spoon:You see, this is the key to every answer in every situation, every solution in every part of universe, anywhere, ever in the multiverse and the universe and all of it.
David Spoon:The answer is more of God.
David Spoon:The answer is not.
David Spoon:Well, we'll do this.
David Spoon:We'll do this.
David Spoon:The answer is more of God.
David Spoon:Remember, he spoke and the universe created.
David Spoon:You think he could speak in an answer to prayer and change the world?
David Spoon:Yeah, I think so.
David Spoon:So what is the answer?
David Spoon:Moses wanted more.
David Spoon:It wasn't enough.
David Spoon:He never sat on it and said, I'm done.
David Spoon:David said, as the deer panteth for the Waterbrook, so my soul longs for you.
David Spoon:There should be a hunger deep inside each and every one of us that says, more.
David Spoon:Show me your glory.
David Spoon:I want more of you.
David Spoon:I want to understand your Word.
David Spoon:I want to hear you when I'm praying.
David Spoon:I want to hear you when I'm reading.
David Spoon:I want to see and experience your every fellowship.
David Spoon:When we're in fellowship with other believers, I want more.
David Spoon:That's the answer.
David Spoon:You mean that can be an answer for health?
David Spoon:Yes.
David Spoon:Money?
David Spoon:Yes.
David Spoon:Relationship?
David Spoon:Yes.
David Spoon:Happiness?
David Spoon:Yes.
David Spoon:Keep going.
David Spoon:Just add anything you want.
David Spoon:Because more of God is the answer to everything.
David Spoon:And it doesn't matter if people think so or not.
David Spoon:It's irrelevant.
David Spoon:Who cares what they think?
David Spoon:God has made it clear.
David Spoon:And everything is about a partnership and a relationship with Him.
David Spoon:Remember Jesus said, depart from me, those workers of iniquity.
David Spoon:I never kn.
David Spoon:It's not that he didn't know of them, that they didn't know him.
David Spoon:And that's what he's talking about.
David Spoon:And we need to know him and be in a relationship with him is spending time in prayer, which is us talking to him, spending time in His Word, which is him talking to us and always aware.
David Spoon:More.
David Spoon:I want more of you.
David Spoon:And if you don't have that, ask for it.
David Spoon:I bet you a trillion dollars God says yes.
David Spoon:Get it?
David Spoon:All right, Trivia question.
David Spoon:Very hard for some.
David Spoon:I'll make it very simple.
David Spoon:The Sadducees didn't believe in the resurrection and they said, whose wife's she gonna be?
David Spoon:Jesus told them, you've erred because you do not know the scriptures.
David Spoon:Neither do you know the power of God.
David Spoon:The error was not knowing the power of God.
David Spoon:Remember that when you're praying, because that's an error that we have too.
