Perfection isn't what moves you forward.

It's another Planes Trains and Automobiles reference, so let's have a little fun with the idea of perfection!

The question is... What is more important?

1) Making everything as we expect, making things match what we see around us, and focusing on perfection.

OR

2) Making sure all of the necessary parts are working and working well to move us forward, where we can add on as we go.

Key Points:

  • Look at what works, add some fun and celebrate what works!
  • Make sure the basic necessary parts work well before adding on.
  • Get moving first, have fun relax, then add on to the basics.

We often focus on what we don't have, all the parts we feel are necessary. Take a moment to step back. If you feel overwhelmed or not having fun, your intuition tells you to take a moment to step back. Take a look at what is necessary. Take the time to move forward and have fun first, then begin to add on slowly as you go. You don't need everything to be successful.

If we look at the movie, the car's entire interior is melted except the radio, steering wheel, and gear shift. What is necessary is the tires, working engine, and the bonus of the radio.

To me, this is the best example of keeping it simple and being at ease; in fact, I would say enjoy!

So relax, celebrate the necessary and have some fun!

Until next time, keep it simple, be at ease with yourself, trust your intuition with light the way.
