This is probably the most click bait episode title I have ever had, but it is literally true and I had to share it with you. 😂 In this episode, I'm talking about how my Airtable content hub made me $15,000 this month, while I was on vacation. A lot of the times people don't equate systems with additional revenue. Transcripts

Speaker:

iPhone Microphone-8: Oh, and

welcome back to the podcast.

2

:

This is probably the most click

baity episode title I have ever

3

:

had, but it is literally true.

4

:

And I had to share it with you.

5

:

So in this episode, we're

talking about how my irritable

6

:

content hub made me $15,000 this

month, while I was on vacation.

7

:

A lot of the times people don't equate

systems with additional revenue.

8

:

However, truly, I was only able

to make this extra $15,000 because

9

:

of my systems and because of my

team and we'll get into that.

10

:

But when I figured this out a couple

of days ago, I literally cried because.

11

:

I was in a pretty rough spot this

month and I was pretty stressed out

12

:

and literally assistance over stress.

13

:

My systems helped me through my

team helped me through and I'm

14

:

going to show you exactly how my

air table content have made me 15 K

15

:

this month while I was on vacation.

16

:

So I needed, I was looking at my sales

hub, my air table sales hub, all of our

17

:

sales get automated to our table and I

really needed a cash injection this month.

18

:

Like I needed to bring in an extra

15 K uh, truly, which is magical.

19

:

That's, that's how it happened.

20

:

I needed a low lift cash injection

this month and I had already

21

:

planned and had it every year.

22

:

I spent two weeks on a boat

with my family and the Pacific.

23

:

And request it is not as

bougie and fancy as it sounds.

24

:

But it is something that we do every year.

25

:

I love to do it.

26

:

And in the past throughout building

this business, I have done VIP days in

27

:

the bottom of the bill and making my

mom like reroute the boat so we could

28

:

get wifi at answering support tickets.

29

:

And it's, it's always

been a good reminder.

30

:

That this time next year by the boat trip.

31

:

I want my systems to be easier.

32

:

I want my business to be smoother.

33

:

I don't want to be worried.

34

:

And every year it's kind of this

benchmark to see how my business is doing.

35

:

Now I needed this low lift cash injection,

but I didn't want to have the boat be

36

:

another time where I am hustling and

taking sales calls and writing emails.

37

:

I really wanted to get everything

done before the boat trip.

38

:

And so I decided to open up

the doors to my group program.

39

:

So systems over stress

is my group program.

40

:

It is.

41

:

12 months it's $2,500.

42

:

It was truly my lowest lift

thing that I could lunch.

43

:

I normally though, when I do my

launches, they're very, , thought out.

44

:

The we have a lead-up event,

we have a free webinar that

45

:

we promote for a month ahead.

46

:

You know, we like really

are strategic about them.

47

:

And granted those launches are much

bigger than the launch that I just had.

48

:

However, I just really needed a

cash injection and I couldn't take

49

:

on any more done for you clients.

50

:

And I couldn't create a new thing.

51

:

I just needed to sell what I

already had right in front of me.

52

:

So I had no big webinar.

53

:

I had no fancy lead-up or announcement.

54

:

I just opened the cart, was

planning to send emails and cell.

55

:

But I had just launched

system's overstress in April.

56

:

That's currently July.

57

:

So it had only been a couple of months.

58

:

And I was like, there is no

possible way that I can repurpose

59

:

the emails that I use in the last

launch for this launch, because.

60

:

. We just use them.

61

:

The audience is going to be so

overwhelmed and annoyed by me.

62

:

And so I was like, if I do this, yes, it's

low lift, but I have to write new emails.

63

:

And I was like, all right, all you have

to do actually is write new emails.

64

:

And I was like, I have

the energy to do that.

65

:

I did not have the energy to do that.

66

:

But I was like, I'm going to annoy people.

67

:

Aren't they tired of me.

68

:

I can't repurpose for this launch.

69

:

So I tried to write emails.

70

:

I told the team.

71

:

I'm going to have you emails and our

content hub, you can schedule them.

72

:

And then I will be on my vacation and I'll

be around, but I won't be like on, on.

73

:

I told my OBM that I would write

those emails and put them on our

74

:

content hub before my trips is

that she gets scheduled them.

75

:

Except I didn't.

76

:

I don't remember why I didn't life happen.

77

:

Divorce does that to you.

78

:

I have been in prioritizing my healing

and my mental health above work

79

:

this year for very specific reasons.

80

:

And I've really been having

to rebuild a foundation.

81

:

So my business is sustainable

and that I am taking care of.

82

:

There's just a lot of reasons why

I didn't do it, but I didn't do it.

83

:

And I didn't write the emails.

84

:

And my OBM is fantastic.

85

:

Moira, shout out.

86

:

She was gently checking in with

me every few days before my trip.

87

:

Asking me when she

could expect the emails.

88

:

And I boarded my flight

to my family vacation.

89

:

Very frustrated with myself.

90

:

I was very frustrated that I didn't

write these new emails and because

91

:

I didn't write the new emails.

92

:

There's no way we're going to

do this launch because there's

93

:

no way we can repurpose content.

94

:

And it's all because I

couldn't get my shit together.

95

:

It is my fault that once again, we're

not going to hit our revenue goals.

96

:

It's my fault.

97

:

I'm a bad business owner.

98

:

That is how I was heading

into the vacation, but I

99

:

couldn't rally to write them.

100

:

And I just was having a hard time.

101

:

So that's how I went into the vacation.

102

:

I was like, well, I'm still, I am

choosing, this is intentional choice.

103

:

I'm not going to hustle on this boat trip.

104

:

And instead I'm just not going to launch.

105

:

That's what I thought was going to happen.

106

:

But then my OBM.

107

:

Sent me a slack message because

she knows me enough by now.

108

:

And I will just as a caveat, I

know that this was not me and

109

:

my best CEO or delegator moment.

110

:

Okay.

111

:

I know I could be a

better CEO in this moment.

112

:

I know I should get my shit together.

113

:

Uh, that's not the purpose of the story.

114

:

That's not the point of this story.

115

:

But my team member has just really,

they've known what I've been

116

:

going through my personal life.

117

:

And they know that sometimes

my timelines get extended.

118

:

My timelines get pushed, whatever.

119

:

My team member saw, I was not going to be

able to get her the stuff that she needed.

120

:

And that she had every right to be

like, well, she didn't get immediate

121

:

emails, so we're not launching,

I'm not scheduling the emails.

122

:

Hover.

123

:

She sent me a slack.

124

:

She said, Hey, if you're out

and about, quick check-in I

125

:

am going into just do it mode.

126

:

I am planning an SOS email

launch based on your ID lives.

127

:

And then I'm going to choose and schedule

it emails daily for the next week.

128

:

She sent me that.

129

:

And I was truly, I was on

a boat, but not in the way.

130

:

That's like, oh, I'm on vacation.

131

:

Drinking.

132

:

Margarita is like, I am

on a boat with my family.

133

:

I was spending a lot of time.

134

:

Journaling and sitting on a kayak

and watching the sun and being in

135

:

the water and just like meditating.

136

:

Like I was in a healing hole.

137

:

And so it was a vacation.

138

:

Yes, but it was like being

very close with my mom.

139

:

And so I saw the message.

140

:

And if I wasn't so deep and family

mode and doing all that intense healing

141

:

work, I probably would have told

her like, no, please don't do that.

142

:

I don't want to repurpose because

they don't want to know your

143

:

audience, but I didn't do that.

144

:

I was just like, well, , I'm

getting out of my own way.

145

:

She's going to repurpose the emails.

146

:

The emails are going to go out

and we'll see what happens.

147

:

We'll see if everybody unsubscribes,

because they're tired of me that

148

:

everybody wants subscribed, but

let's just see what happens.

149

:

So I let her.

150

:

I let her take the lead.

151

:

She found emails inside

of our content hub.

152

:

We have been using our content

hub for the last three years.

153

:

So there are hundreds and hundreds

of emails related to systems over

154

:

stress inside of our content hub.

155

:

And she repurposed 12 emails.

156

:

So she found 12 emails.

157

:

She sent them out.

158

:

And all of them, I can't express

it enough that she just copied

159

:

them from our past launches and

repurpose them for this launch.

160

:

And I am able to go into our content hub

now and see exactly what you repurposed.

161

:

I know exactly the emails that were sent.

162

:

I didn't even create the

content plan for this launch.

163

:

Like she did it all because she could

see based on our last launch, I was

164

:

like, what's the typical cadence we do.

165

:

And all of those things.

166

:

So the launch truly went on without me.

167

:

I was on the boat.

168

:

I was in a kayak.

169

:

I was journaling.

170

:

I was playing skippo with my mom.

171

:

I was hanging and I was also

doing some other behind the scenes

172

:

business work of like, what.

173

:

Do I like, I don't want to be in

this situation again, like how do

174

:

I restructure my business model?

175

:

Like I was thinking more high level

stuff and I was too numb, honestly,

176

:

to get into the day-to-day of handling

all of the content scheduling and

177

:

, picking the emails and all that.

178

:

So I'm so grateful to my team.

179

:

Burke did that again.

180

:

She didn't have to do it, but she did.

181

:

And I'm so grateful and I'm committed

to being a better CEO and team member

182

:

because she's been so incredible.

183

:

And that's a different podcast episode.

184

:

But anyways, when I got home, I looked

at our metrics and I was like, all

185

:

right, how many people unsubscribed

and how much money did we make?

186

:

Y'all.

187

:

We made $15,000 on this launch

and only 16 people unsubscribed.

188

:

16 people unsubscribed from

an entirely repurpose launch.

189

:

That is a point 10% average

unsubscribe rate per email.

190

:

And our, uh, our email

list is about:

191

:

So 16 people unsubscribed.

192

:

I, when I saw that I was blown

away because it was just, it really

193

:

showed this story that I have

of People are going to be annoyed.

194

:

So don't send as many emails.

195

:

Don't repurpose.

196

:

That is not true.

197

:

Obviously maybe 16 people

were, but that's okay.

198

:

I can live with that.

199

:

I can live with 16 people

and subscribing for $15,000.

200

:

So no people are not as annoyed

as you think they're going to

201

:

be by your repurpose emails.

202

:

They probably don't remember.

203

:

iPhone Microphone-9: And yes, I have

an amazing OBM who is a superhero

204

:

and I couldn't run my business

without her and just really stepped

205

:

it up in this specific instance.

206

:

However, she was really only able to

do this because of our content hub,

207

:

because it was so low lift for her.

208

:

She didn't go over hours that week.

209

:

She didn't have to search for

hours in our email marketing

210

:

system to find emails to repurpose.

211

:

She was able to go into our content

hub, pick 10 emails that she wanted

212

:

based on our metrics that are already

in there and just schedule them.

213

:

Any ops manager or a virtual assistant

can do this with the right systems.

214

:

And I want you to have

systems that make it easy.

215

:

So when you have to be out of your

business for whatever reason your

216

:

team can step in and take over.

217

:

So, if this is interesting to you, I would

absolutely love to see you at our air

218

:

table content management hub workshop.

219

:

Revenue sharing the exact template that

we have used for years to plan, write and

220

:

schedule our content and collect metrics.

221

:

That workshop is on July 31st, 2024.

222

:

If you're hearing this before,

then please go grab your ticket.

223

:

The link is in the show notes.

224

:

It's only $147.

225

:

Uh, but if you're listening to this

afterwards, there will be a replay

226

:

available for a little bit more.

227

:

So please, especially if you are

listening to this before, grab your

228

:

ticket now, so you don't have to

pay extra for the replay later.

229

:

So I'd love to see you there.

230

:

I am so grateful for our systems.

231

:

I'm so grateful.

232

:

I was able to go on a trip.

233

:

I'm so grateful that I learned

the valuable lesson that.

234

:

My people are not annoyed

by it repurposing.

235

:

So if anything, you have permission

to repurpose, you are so great.

236

:

And I cannot wait to see

you in the next episode.
