Following 2 tours of Afghanistan with the Grenadier Guards, Dan Darkes was medically discharged after suffering hearing damage from an RPG blast. Just weeks after discharge, Dan found himself in hospital with a Type 1 Diabetes diagnosis. Through continued dedication to healthy lifestyle choices & fitness regimes, Dan found his diagnosis reversed and now lives a normal life, dedicating his time to charities like the Royal British Legion & is writing a book about his medical journey.
