Addressing the needs of students with disabilities has been extremely challenging during the pandemic. Given these challenges, parents and school officials need to consider whether any student with a disability was denied a free appropriate public education or FAPE as a result of the pandemic and is entitled to compensatory services. This podcast episode will review the legal considerations involved in making this determination, the other options available to provide enhanced support for students with disabilities, including extended school year services and access to universal summer programming, and strategies for working in partnership with parents to fully understand and address the needs of all students with disabilities.
