Bad Axe used a big second half to pull away from Harbor Beach to secure their first victory of the postseason, defeating the Pirates 50-35.

The Hatchets were led by their big man, Jake MacPhee with 14 points in Monday's action, while Chase Walker added 11 points. Keaton Braun chipped in 9 points, Griffin Meinhold who came off the bench finished with 7 points and Michael Janssen, 6 points.

Harbor Beach was once again paced in scoring by their freshman, Benson Harper with 11 points and senior Jace Knoblock at 10 points.

With the win, Bad Axe advanced to take on the #1 seed of District 96, Cass City. Harbor Beach finished the 2023 campaign with an 8-12 record.
