Shownotes
In this episode, I share the struggles I personally faced when leaving the military. I thought I was ready, but civilian life quickly showed me I was not. I found myself struggling with depression, anxiety, anger and other issues tied to self-doubt about who I truly was. I looked at myself as a civilian, I did not like what I saw, and I thought I was alone. Over time, I have discovered these thoughts are common among veterans, though most do not realize it.
Key points:
- Leaving the military is difficult.
- Plans fail. Have a backup plan.
- You are not the only one feeling this way.
- What defines you?
- Finding your purpose in service.
