Shownotes
Today, we welcome two guests from the institute of physical activity and nutrition at Deakin University, Professors David Scott and Judi Porter.
Both David and Judi’s work focuses on older adults, with David looking at physical exercise and Judi at nutrition. And today we’re talking about the cross section of these two fields in aged care, with an exploration of sarcopenia and malnutrition.
As you’ll hear in this episode sarcopenia and malnutrition go hand in hand, particularly in residential aged care and there are a lot of extenuating factors that need to be overcome for successful health interventions, whether they’re dietary or movement based.
