When we gather in Connect Groups we enjoy divine encounters and there is no favouritism, the good news of the gospel of Jesus is shared and the Holy Spirit moves. When we gather as Connect Groups the power of the gospel bears fruit. Jesus is with us as we gather and so life situations that feel captive become places of freedom, the blind are given sight, and people experiencing oppression are set free.

The importance of being part of a Connect Group in Family Church was the focus of our final part of the Gathering Value series. Inspired by the story of the Roman army officer Cornelius meeting Simon Peter in Acts 10, and the prophecy fulfilled by Jesus in Luke 4:18-19, for one morning only we pulled together a 'super connect group' in Southsea to hear some of the testimonies from the experience of being part of a Connect Group.

A few years ago a vision was shared across Family Church of 100% of the people being part of a Connect Group. We are on our way to seeing God make this happen and we believe in FC Southsea it is time to start lighting more fires across the whole of our city, as our existing connect groups strengthen further and new ones are started.
