In the book of Revelation, an angel shows John an amazing vision of the New Heaven, the New Earth, and the New Jerusalem.
I, John, am the one who heard and saw these things. And when I heard and saw them, I fell down to worship at the feet of the angel who showed them to me, BUT he said to me, "You must not do that! I am a fellow servant with you and your brothers the prophets, and with those who keep the words of this book. Worship God."
Revelation 22:8-9
John was moved to worship. However, when angels appear, they do not want people to worship them. Their work is to deliver God’s message or complete the work assigned to them. The angels’ role is to point back to God, who is the One worthy of our worship.
And all the angels were standing around the throne and around the elders and the four living creatures, and they fell on their faces before the throne and worshiped God, saying, “Amen! Blessing and glory and wisdom and thanksgiving and honor and power and might be to our God forever and ever! Amen.”

HEAD TO HEART
The angels present a beautiful example for us to follow. The Lamb of God is worthy of our praise and worship. Let’s set aside time each day to worship Him.

Season 23: Angelology – Words of Summary
Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane - Matthew 26:53 – “Do you think I cannot call on my Father, and he will at once put at my disposal more than twelve legions of angels?”
Elisha – 2 Kings 6:17 - And Elisha prayed, “Open his eyes, Lord, so that he may see.” Then the Lord opened the servant’s eyes, and he looked and saw the hills full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.
Created Beings - Nehemiah 9:6 - The heavenly hosts were created: “You are the Lord, You alone. You have made heaven, the heaven of heavens, with all their host, the earth and all that is on it, the seas and all that is in them; and you preserve all of them; and the host of heaven worships you.”
His mighty ones - Psalm 103:20 - Praise the Lord, you His angels, you mighty ones who do His bidding, who obey His word!
In God’s order and design, there are several distinct classifications of angels.
· The Archangel named Michael – Jude 9
· Chief Princes – Daniel 10:12-13
· Ruling Angels – 1 Peter 1:12
For He will command His angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways.
