According to the world happiness report
The United States ranks 16th as happiest country worldwide-globally
Just behind Ireland, Germany, and Canada
And sitting in first place-take a guess? nope! its Finland. Crazy right!? Who knew
Want to know whos in last place? Well get back to that.
Honestly just by doing the research and data analysis for this podcast, its generated enough motivation, happiness,, and gratitude for the rest of the year! Because I know what no freedom looks like, Ive seen it, Ive experienced it, and Ive fought for it. Fighting for freedom, happiness, gratitude or your personal goals all require a strong mindset and self awareness.
One of the factors that stood out to me when measuring a country's happiness index was, they look for life expectancy, gdp, social support, but this one really stood out to me.
It was The freedom to make life choices.- they measure that
The freedom to make life choices- freely!
Then I was like oh ok, that must mean afghanistan must be in last place. It was close, but zimbabwe sits in last place for happiness. As of 2021. $253 a month. And only 30% of the population works.
First thing that came to my mind was, damn. I know how bad afghanistan is, I know how bad peru is, but I couldn’t imagine how bad zimbabwe is right now. I always say this, “it could always be worse” and its true, life is perception. Change the way you think and it’ll change daily in a positive manner.
