What in the gut is going on?! This has been a question that's been on my mind ever since I was a kid, experiencing digestive issues. Understanding the health of our gastrointestinal tract and the health of our microbiome is key to understanding our overall well being. This is because mostly every disease and illness can be traced back to the gut or has a correlation to the gut. Our GI tract literally dictates how well we break down, process, and absorb the nutrients from the food we eat, and therefore directly influences our health and immunity.
