Shownotes

Back in 2022, I had the absolute pleasure of attending an evening with Dr. Jane Goodall, broadcast by Museums Victoria. Dr. Goodall is an ethologist known for her detailed research on chimpanzees in Tanzania and has founded the Jane Goodall Institute for Wildlife Research, Education and Conservation.

For me, the biggest takeaway from this amazing session was this: every action matters. When we live with this in mind, we have the opportunity to lead with hope. In Dr Goodall’s words, “Hope is about action and not wishful thinking…You must roll up your sleeves and start crawling and climbing… Every one of us makes an impact on the planet every day.”

I've been thinking a lot about this recently and how the mantra “every action matters” is highly useful for us to use when reflecting on the three P's: Purpose, Productivity and Preparedness.

So today we’re talking about taking actionable steps to move towards our purpose and establish our goals - and how this can be done by making purposeful choices in all that we do.

We’ll explore:

  • Making every action meaningful
  • Getting organised to boost productivity
  • Examining our lives with curiosity

Whether it's prioritising our health, staying organised or examining ourselves with curiosity, each choice we make contributes to experiencing life at its best and most balanced.

So, join me today and get inspired to find the most meaning - and balance -  in your daily life and actions!

In 2022, I had the absolute pleasure of attending an evening with Dr. Jane Goodall, which was broadcast by Museums Victoria. For those that aren't familiar with Dr. Goodall, Dr. Goodall is an ethologist known for her detailed research on chimpanzees in Tanzania. She also founded the Jane Goodall Institute for Wildlife Research, Education, and [00:01:00] Conservation, and through her Institute, she continues to deliver positive change across the world.

She's an amazing. Dr. Goodall presented so much information at this session as well as really actionable opportunities for attendees. But the biggest takeaway for me was that every action matters and in doing so to lead with hope, it was such an inspiring session. Jane said to lead with hope. Hope is about action and not wishful thinking. Hope is the star at the end of a long, dark tunnel. There is no good sitting and waiting. You must roll up your sleeves and start crawling and climbing. Let your indomitable spirit come out. Every one of us makes an impact on the planet every day.

when reflecting on the three [:

It doesn't mean that you need to change everything in your world. Well, not yet anyway, really spend time determining how you want to impact the world and how you want to intentionally live. In the foundation of preparedness, your health is so critical to your success. I know this firsthand and what it was like to avoid actions and neglect my health.

ng consciously. And so far in:

Every day I remind myself that every action matters, and this includes treating myself with [00:03:00] kindness. But also giving myself a break when I need it. From a productivity perspective, I try very hard not to leave things to tomorrow that I can do today. Every action to keep myself organized does matter. It impacts my tomorrow if I neglect things or leave things to overwhelm me at the end of each day, I make sure that I'm as prepared as I can be for tomorrow to do everything in my power to remove chaos from the mornings. I like my mornings to be calm and serene, which I'm sure most of us do. I never leave the dishes unwashed overnight.

Have a look around your home or work. And if you feel strongly about something, the way it looks, the way it makes you feel, or even if it's a particular item, reflect on why. Is it important or does it detract from your best self? Over the next few days, I encourage you to think about your life and your future.

curious in how you can show [:

This is the key process to transition towards your future plans. Now, if you are not sure where to start or whether you have set strong foundations to create the ongoing balance, I recommend you download my free checklist, which asks you to get curious and reflect on how you achieve in the areas of purpose, productivity and preparedness.

The checklist may help you identify any areas you could become stronger in to create amazing balance in your life. Every action matters. So if this feels like the right next step for you, head to balance at hand. com and look under freebies to find the checklist and get started. I'm going to close out today with further words from Dr.

ake the easy route, the lazy [:

This could mean changing the way you look at situations. The job you have may not be on the path to your future. But look at it as a privilege to have the job as it helps pave your way towards the future you would like or the future self you would like to be. You will get there, especially if you focus on the positives in every situation you are able.

Find inspiration in activities that matter to you. If you are not sure what you like, learn, test, and see. Watch the documentary, book the experience, read about varied and random topics. Start a list of things that you don't like, if that helps you find the things that you do. Every action matters. There are so many different directions everyone can take this topic, so I'm really looking forward to hearing how you went.

e spend time together again, [:
