On this episode Ted and Barb talk to Jessica Jannaman, the Executive Director of EHS & Quality at Global Automotive Systems, LLC. Jessica has 8 years of experience in automotive industry in environmental health and safety. She was awarded the 2020 National Safety Council Rising Star of Safety Award. Like most safety professionals, she “fell into” safety after being hired for an another (environmental) role. According to Jessica, safety professionals have to build a connection with people to be more effective in their work. Also, Jessica points out that communication in safety is critical.
