Derek Pollard, PhD, is the founder of Constellar Creative, a content marketing and editorial agency with a focus on empowering clients to "use their words" to say it—and write it—just like they mean it.
Additionally, he serves as Series Editor for the Poets on Poetry Series, founded in 1977 by former U.S. Poet Laureate Donald Hall and in continuous publication by the University of Michigan Press since then.
Derek is a passionate educator and arts advocate who teaches creative writing workshops at the Downtown Writers Center and online English courses at Southern New Hampshire University, consistently named one of the nation's "Best Regional Universities" by U.S. News & World Report.
He’s consulted on learning design and educational assessment for the College Board and has served in administrative roles at Johns Hopkins University and The Arts Branch of the YMCA of Central New York and on the Creative Professionals Board at Urban Arts Partnership.
