The M-81 Clash has its namesake for a reason and on Friday, February 02, 2024, it was the Cass City Red Hawks who were able to hold off the Caro Tigers 62-60 for their fifteenth victory of the season.

Cass City's Carter Patrick paced all scorers with 39 points on the same night he was crowned Snowcoming King. Matt Mellendorf added 13 points with all other Red Hawks in single digits. It was the McGarry brothers leading the way for Caro, Connor McGarry at 24 points and Logan McGarry with 14 points. Valin Buniack finished the game with 10 points.

With the win, Cass City clinches at least a share of the Greater Thumb West title, now with a three-game lead in the standings with three divisional games remaining.
