A New Tanya class By Rabbi Yitzchok Minkowicz ״How to experience the greatest Love & Awe for G-D” Tanya Igeret Hakodesh Chapter 6 The Alter Rebbe quotes from proverbs זורע צדקה שכר אמת That the reward for Tzedaka is Emes. The Alter Rebbe quotes the verse from prophet Micha תתן אמת ליעקב and shares the Zohar’s explanation that Hashem gives the attribute of Emes to Yaakov. The question the Alter Rebbe asks why does Hashem have to give Emes to Yaakov, does he not have that Mida? The Alter Rebbe explains that Yaakov Avoda is Rachmanus:, serving G-D thru Rachmanus that the infinite spark of Hashem is in Galus in the human body & all the materialistic desires, this world that was only created just from the letter ה compared to the infinite power of Hashem. There are two types of love & awe of Hashem. 1. Based on meditation of the greatness of Hashem & the way Hashem loves us. This is a lower level. 2. After we do our our meditation & develop the lower level Hashem gives us as a present the the higher level of love & awe of Hashem. This a way higher level. This is actually אמת as the seal of Hashem is truth. The way to achieve this high level of love & awe, is by awakening our רחמים for the spark of Hashem that is in Galus. When we have רחמנות we need to have Rachmanus באמת and since we are human how can we do it באמת so that it reaches the אמת of ה׳? When we have compassion for those that are less fortunate & give charity we cause Hashem to have רחמנות for us & Hashem Wakes us up & brings out our inner רחמים that is hidden to a revealed state like the verse says in reference to Tzedaka זורע like in planting we cause to reveal what’s hidden in the ground. Especially Tzedaka for Eretz Yisroel as it says in psalms ארץ מארץ תצמח that planting Tzedaka in the land of Israel we draw down Hashem’s blessings that we’re hidden as king David writes מה רב טובך אשר צפנת So the process is. Tzedaka first. & especially for israel. Hashem opens our Rachmanus & we have Rachmanus for the spark of Hashem in Galus We meditate on Hashem & the way he loves us.
