Shownotes

In this episode of The Lipsticks Podcast, we talk all about LGBTQ+ History Month, what it's all about and where it's origins come from! We talk about the progress of the support for, and the understanding of, the LGBTQ community and how this has changed from when we were younger vs now.

We chat about the recent news story that the Brighton NHS Trust has introduced gender inclusive language for its maternity services, and we add a new word to our Gay Glossary!

The big gay Spotlight feature has an extra special role to play in this episode as it pays homage to an artist who sadly passed away last month. Sophie Xeon, known mononymously as SOPHIE, was a Scottish trans musician, record producer, singer, songwriter, and DJ. We want to share her music and celebrate her presence within the industry and the LGBT community ❤️

Spoiler alert! This podcast may contact traces of giggling, northern accents, sarcasm and gay references.
