Your Home Has a Story to Tell. Are You the Main Character?
Have you ever looked around your home and thought about how much of you is reflected in it? As furniture artists, we spend so much time creating beautiful pieces for other people's homes that we sometimes forget to use those same talents in our own. You know that old saying about the cobbler's children having no shoes? Well, let's make sure that doesn't describe us!
In this episode, I'm sharing some of the creative projects I've done around our home, from transforming an antique door into entryway décor to turning an old window into wall art and using specialty paints and stencils to make our master bedroom hallway uniquely ours. Along the way, we'll talk about repurposing sentimental furniture, changing our décor as our needs change, and recognizing just how valuable the skills we've developed really are.
And if you're new to furniture flipping, don't think these possibilities are only for experienced artists. Every skill can be learned, and every project gives you another opportunity to grow. You might even discover ways to share those skills with family and friends or create another source of income.
