Shownotes

We talk a lot about curiosity and honest questions here on the podcast. But…sometimes, the best reminders come from seeing those tools work in everyday life.

In today’s episode, I’m talking about what happens when we ask more than we state. Recently, I had a couple of conversations that reminded me just how much farther we can get when we ask more than we state (especially when frustration is involved).

Our emotions can give us valuable information and move us toward action without becoming the way we communicate with others. When we pause long enough to ask an honest question, we create room for information, understanding, and constructive conversation.

We may not always get the outcome we want, but asking more than we state can help us move the needle. Sometimes, one thoughtful question is all it takes!

In this episode, I cover:

  • How honest questions can create more constructive conversations
  • Why frustration can fuel action without driving communication
  • Why asking questions gives us information we might otherwise miss
