This episode is about how we might proceed to know our hearts. Christians were told to examine themselves to see whether they were in the faith. This requires a concentrated effort to look at ourselves objectively in comparison to the perfect standard -- the Word of God.

Is it not strange that this work is harder, more neglected, and one in which we are not as skilled, when examining others is easier, practiced daily, and one in which we think we are very skilled? Yet, which one is more productive?
