Speaker:

clarity and all of it You deserve it and you are worthy of it all the time

Speaker:

your money differently so that you can achieve your sexy money goals.

Speaker:

I'm Sydney your money Maven and owner of Know Your Worth.

Speaker:

And I'm Kristen Syd's Dimepiece bestie team member and busy mama

Speaker:

twins here to make sure that those of us without a financial degree can

Speaker:

still level up with each episode.

Speaker:

Let's get started on reaching your next goal.

Speaker:

Hello.

Speaker:

Welcome to the Know Your Worth podcast.

Speaker:

I'm one of your hosts, Sydney Conway, your money maven.

Speaker:

And I am your other host, Kristen Fedeli, Syd's dime piece bestie.

Speaker:

Welcome to episode 29.

Speaker:

Yeah.

Speaker:

Almost hit the big 3 0.

Speaker:

Oh, we have to come out with a good episode for you.

Speaker:

30 things we have learned.

Speaker:

No, I don't know.

Speaker:

30, 30 things.

Speaker:

Yeah just quick hits.

Speaker:

Quick hitters.

Speaker:

I like it.

Speaker:

We could do that.

Speaker:

I like that one.

Speaker:

Maybe we'll do that for the next one.

Speaker:

File it.

Speaker:

What we're going to do for this episode, and if you listened to the last episode,

Speaker:

we talked about the five kind of most helpful things that our listeners have.

Speaker:

Let us know, have helped them with their finances or their

Speaker:

business and it was a good one.

Speaker:

It was a nice, easy one.

Speaker:

Good good refresher reminder.

Speaker:

Good place to start.

Speaker:

If you're looking somewhere for some inspiration and some tips and tricks.

Speaker:

Yeah.

Speaker:

But our last one that we talked about was Positive mindset, positive business

Speaker:

mindset, positive money mindset.

Speaker:

Yeah.

Speaker:

Yeah.

Speaker:

Today we're going to do 10 of the most popular money mantras.

Speaker:

We truly Googled what are the 10 most popular money mantras because

Speaker:

we want to talk about some money mantras that we have and what we

Speaker:

have found are the 10 most popular.

Speaker:

So we want to talk about them.

Speaker:

See what sticks, see what doesn't, and just use this as an episode to take

Speaker:

what you need, leave what you don't.

Speaker:

But I find that it's really important to revisit money mantras because I think

Speaker:

that throughout different seasons of our life we get so stuck in thinking that

Speaker:

we're stuck in the spots that we're in and the financial situation that we're

Speaker:

in that you have to sometimes just repeat the mantras that work for you over and

Speaker:

over again until you really start to, I find that I need to do that for myself.

Speaker:

I need to become the post it person.

Speaker:

Sometimes I need to become the phone alarm reminder sometimes.

Speaker:

And I think that spring is a good time to create some new.

Speaker:

Mantras for yourself.

Speaker:

It's a great idea.

Speaker:

So these mantras are you saying them?

Speaker:

Like you mentioned post its, you mentioned alarms on your phone.

Speaker:

How are you reminding yourself?

Speaker:

I think that everybody's going to be a little bit different with

Speaker:

what they see and do, and it might change weekly, might change monthly.

Speaker:

You might have to have a calendar reminder to change where you put your mantras,

Speaker:

if you're someone with ADHD, because.

Speaker:

That post it note just disappears from your brain after a certain point,

Speaker:

you know, once it's in the fridge for so long You know what you want to

Speaker:

remember whenever you go to get your food in the morning I used to do that

Speaker:

I put them in the fridge and then I was actually I did that when I was

Speaker:

still living with my parents and the Mantra that I put in the fridge was

Speaker:

in there for like I think a year and a half before my mom was like Sydney I

Speaker:

really like this, but can we update it?

Speaker:

And I was like, what are you talking about?

Speaker:

And she was like your little note has been in here for like a year and a half.

Speaker:

And I was like, oh, really?

Speaker:

And she's yes.

Speaker:

I was like, you could have thrown it away.

Speaker:

And she was like no, I really like it.

Speaker:

Can we do a new one now?

Speaker:

And I was like, oh I forgot it was there.

Speaker:

I was like, yeah, sounds great.

Speaker:

We can do another one.

Speaker:

You don't keep it on my account.

Speaker:

I don't see it anymore.

Speaker:

It just becomes part of the fridge.

Speaker:

So I've done a couple different ways.

Speaker:

So I've done it where I've done on post its.

Speaker:

I've written dry erase marker on my mirrors in my bathroom or in my office.

Speaker:

One that I really like is a post it note in your car so that when you're in your

Speaker:

car you're just in a different space because I also think you need to Think

Speaker:

about the spaces where you can process.

Speaker:

Yeah, like where are you alone?

Speaker:

Where are you quiet thinking?

Speaker:

Yeah.

Speaker:

Yep, That's a good trigger point.

Speaker:

Another trigger point is like an alarm on your phone.

Speaker:

If every day, you know it at 4 18 or you know it 635 whatever it is, you know

Speaker:

that's typically a time where you're not Working you're transitioning from

Speaker:

one place to the next you're in a space where you can look at the alarm, turn

Speaker:

it off, and you're not just snoozing it.

Speaker:

Yeah.

Speaker:

You can look at it and you can say, your money mantra your life mantra, today we're

Speaker:

talking about money mantras, but you can see your mantra and just reflect on it.

Speaker:

I saw another one that said I think it was Jenna Kutcher.

Speaker:

Every doorway she had told herself that when she walks through this

Speaker:

doorway, she's going to become the person she needs to be in that room.

Speaker:

So when she.

Speaker:

opens the door to her house and walks through her doorway to her house.

Speaker:

She's becoming the best mom she can be.

Speaker:

She's becoming the best wife she can be.

Speaker:

When she opens the door to her office, she becomes the best boss she can be.

Speaker:

And she leaves the other things behind.

Speaker:

So it's as you cross that across the threshold into who you want

Speaker:

to become or something like that.

Speaker:

And so there's can be different just trigger points like that too.

Speaker:

Where are you on vision boards?

Speaker:

I made one in January and it just looks like Art now.

Speaker:

. It's over on my windowsill over there and it is pretty, I actually

Speaker:

did stop and look at it a couple times last week, but it's also tough

Speaker:

because a lot of my vision board in the beginning of the year was rest.

Speaker:

Mm-Hmm.

Speaker:

And relax and sit back.

Speaker:

That's really happened, huh?

Speaker:

And january is not the time for me to do that.

Speaker:

So I think that I more like June for you.

Speaker:

Yeah, exactly.

Speaker:

Exactly.

Speaker:

So I think that I have to have a phase, like I make that vision board, and

Speaker:

I have a calendar reminder on April 16th of look at your vision board.

Speaker:

Now remember what you want to do for the rest of the year.

Speaker:

I'm in a season where I can't do it in the beginning of the year.

Speaker:

But now what can I do at the end, for the rest of the year?

Speaker:

So I love vision boards though.

Speaker:

I think they're just really fun.

Speaker:

Yeah.

Speaker:

Yeah.

Speaker:

It's a rejuvenating process.

Speaker:

how do you feel about vision boards?

Speaker:

I, unpopular opinion, freaking hate them.

Speaker:

I don't know if it's the crafting process.

Speaker:

I don't know if it's takes me back to where I used to make picture

Speaker:

frames for like my friends and I'd go through magazines and cut stuff out.

Speaker:

I don't know what it is, but I just, yeah.

Speaker:

It's like a art reminder of all of the shit I'm not doing in my life

Speaker:

yet, so it's not effective for me.

Speaker:

I'm not, I am not a vision y person.

Speaker:

I'm just flying by the seat of my pants every day in whatever disaster comes next.

Speaker:

I, hey, I think that my vision boards previously were so different than the

Speaker:

vision board I did make this time.

Speaker:

The vision board that I made this time was absolutely more about feeling

Speaker:

and was more about just an emotion.

Speaker:

Yeah.

Speaker:

Then.

Speaker:

Maybe I could get behind that.

Speaker:

Yeah, maybe I could get behind that.

Speaker:

And so that's what my vision board was more of flowers.

Speaker:

I think there's chickens on it.

Speaker:

I mean, I'd love a chicken.

Speaker:

I definitely want a chicken.

Speaker:

But Alex is going to laugh when he hears that part.

Speaker:

But, he's we just got a dog.

Speaker:

Yeah.

Speaker:

You want a chicken?

Speaker:

Yeah.

Speaker:

I have a garden.

Speaker:

You know, I have just a lot of flowers on there.

Speaker:

And to me, it was just a peaceful but bright is what I wanted it

Speaker:

to be, really cheery and really peppy but Relaxed through it all.

Speaker:

I have a lot of words on there like rest and productivity

Speaker:

is like rest is productive.

Speaker:

I think is on there too and I have worth on there.

Speaker:

And so I have a lot of words.

Speaker:

I didn't do a lot.

Speaker:

I think the one picture that's on there is like an organized fridge.

Speaker:

Do you ever watch those videos on TikTok?

Speaker:

Yes.

Speaker:

Yeah.

Speaker:

I love them.

Speaker:

The ASMR where they like organize the clear containers of videos.

Speaker:

I mean, yeah, I want that in my life.

Speaker:

I could make a vision board about that.

Speaker:

Yep.

Speaker:

And so that's really what my board was more this year.

Speaker:

It wasn't like the mansions and the cars and the, hot

Speaker:

bodies, it wasn't any of that.

Speaker:

There were no models on it this time.

Speaker:

That was like me in eighth grade.

Speaker:

There was like a Ralph Lauren model of who I wanted to be when

Speaker:

I grew up, which is hilarious.

Speaker:

Yeah.

Speaker:

Hilarious.

Speaker:

But So maybe if it was like a feelings vision, more of who I

Speaker:

want to become rather than like the things I need to accomplish.

Speaker:

I think maybe not for you.

Speaker:

And it was like more mantras.

Speaker:

That's really what mine was more mantras.

Speaker:

I think I like cook is on there.

Speaker:

Like I just wanted to cook more and it was just more of that kind of stuff than

Speaker:

like these checklist accomplishments.

Speaker:

Yeah.

Speaker:

And that was fun because it was also really pretty because I

Speaker:

felt like I was collaging just like colors and so that was fun.

Speaker:

Yeah, it was totally therapeutic.

Speaker:

It was.

Speaker:

I mean, I also freaking love crafts, yeah, you do love crafts.

Speaker:

I love a craft.

Speaker:

I know.

Speaker:

I do.

Speaker:

Let's talk about my sweatshirt again.

Speaker:

Created it today.

Speaker:

If you were with us last week and you're watching on YouTube, yeah I love a craft.

Speaker:

That's, so I love a vision board.

Speaker:

You can absolutely put your mantras on vision boards.

Speaker:

I guess we could dig into the mantras now.

Speaker:

Yeah, so let's talk about them.

Speaker:

Do you just want to alternate?

Speaker:

I think that's a great idea.

Speaker:

You go first.

Speaker:

Okay, so the first one was, I'm a magnet for wealth and prosperity.

Speaker:

Yes.

Speaker:

Yes.

Speaker:

I like that.

Speaker:

one of the know your worth ones is I'm a money magnet.

Speaker:

Yes.

Speaker:

Yeah.

Speaker:

We should talk about that.

Speaker:

So on our website, we actually have merch that you can get.

Speaker:

We do.

Speaker:

That's cute.

Speaker:

Yeah.

Speaker:

Effective.

Speaker:

I'll wear that next week.

Speaker:

Yeah.

Speaker:

I didn't plan ahead for that.

Speaker:

I'm a money magnet is one of the big ones that know your worth does.

Speaker:

I really wish I could just walk around and just coins could just hit me,

Speaker:

stick to me, dollar bills just, yeah.

Speaker:

That's what I wanted to feel like.

Speaker:

I wanted to feel like I'm just walking around and attracting wealth.

Speaker:

Yeah.

Speaker:

Yeah.

Speaker:

So that's a big one.

Speaker:

So I'm a magnet for wealth and prosperity was the number one that came up of

Speaker:

the ten most popular money mantras.

Speaker:

So I think that one make sense.

Speaker:

Yeah.

Speaker:

The next one is abundance flows.

Speaker:

Effortly into my life, flows effortlessly into my life.

Speaker:

I like that one.

Speaker:

Yeah.

Speaker:

'cause abundance could mean anything.

Speaker:

It doesn't have to mean wealth or money, it could Abundance of happiness,

Speaker:

abundance of ease, abundance of peace.

Speaker:

It could be anything.

Speaker:

Absolutely.

Speaker:

Yeah, it definitely could.

Speaker:

And I feel like flowing freely is just such a loose.

Speaker:

Concepts, you almost steal it.

Speaker:

Yeah.

Speaker:

Yeah.

Speaker:

And one of the ones that I read in a book was that money flows to me freely.

Speaker:

That's what the one that was in the book that I read a lot was like,

Speaker:

money flows to my bank account easily.

Speaker:

. So it was just like money flows freely to me.

Speaker:

That was absolutely the way that they said it.

Speaker:

So that will always stick with me too, like money is flowing.

Speaker:

Love that.

Speaker:

All right.

Speaker:

Number three.

Speaker:

I attract lucrative opportunities with ease.

Speaker:

Oh, I like lucrative.

Speaker:

Yeah.

Speaker:

Lucrative.

Speaker:

You could also change any of these words.

Speaker:

Oh, absolutely.

Speaker:

Yeah.

Speaker:

Absolutely.

Speaker:

Yeah.

Speaker:

I attract lucrative opportunities with ease.

Speaker:

Yeah.

Speaker:

No matter where I go, people just want me to Just laid back

Speaker:

and everybody wants me there.

Speaker:

Yeah.

Speaker:

Yeah.

Speaker:

I like it.

Speaker:

Cool.

Speaker:

I like it.

Speaker:

Money comes to me in unexpected and unexpected ways.

Speaker:

Yeah.

Speaker:

Money comes to me in unexpected and unexpected ways.

Speaker:

I want to say that one forever.

Speaker:

I did.

Speaker:

I bought a lottery ticket last week it was the 1.

Speaker:

3 billion.

Speaker:

Powerball.

Speaker:

Man, I didn't even know that was happening.

Speaker:

Oh, yeah, someone in Oregon won it.

Speaker:

The whole thing.

Speaker:

The whole thing.

Speaker:

The whole thing.

Speaker:

I know.

Speaker:

That was unexpected.

Speaker:

Money comes to me in unexpected ways.

Speaker:

Yeah, I think I'm going to adopt that as my new favorite.

Speaker:

I like that one.

Speaker:

Yeah, it just surprised me.

Speaker:

This is just pick up dollar bills on the streets.

Speaker:

Yeah, bag of money on the front porch.

Speaker:

I always wanted to find A lot of like, I love finding money and

Speaker:

it really never happened to me.

Speaker:

I would always be with the person that found a lot of money.

Speaker:

And do you know when I was little I found a wallet?

Speaker:

Yeah.

Speaker:

When we were, I think we were at like a jewelry store.

Speaker:

And this was one of those moments where my parents tested me.

Speaker:

They were like what are you going to do with the wallet, Sydney?

Speaker:

And I was like, I should open it up and take all the money out.

Speaker:

Yeah.

Speaker:

There's, I'm, I found money.

Speaker:

And they were like, that's someone's wallet.

Speaker:

Yeah.

Speaker:

I remember thinking there's dollar bills in here.

Speaker:

We could take the money out.

Speaker:

Yeah.

Speaker:

I think I was, like, five, six or something.

Speaker:

But I remember thinking if we took the cash out they wouldn't know, we

Speaker:

could keep the rest of their stuff in there, and my parents were like, no,

Speaker:

and I was like, I never find anything I get to keep I turned it in, I wasn't

Speaker:

forced to turn it in, I turned it in.

Speaker:

To the department store and I think the woman gave me

Speaker:

like a lollipop or something.

Speaker:

I have a funny story.

Speaker:

What a trade.

Speaker:

My mom was babysitting recently.

Speaker:

I have five year old twins and one of them was being real

Speaker:

shady and kept going upstairs.

Speaker:

My mom was like, Nova, what are you doing?

Speaker:

Nova was like, are you going to be mad?

Speaker:

And my mom was like, I don't think so.

Speaker:

And she was like, I took money out of your purse and put it in my piggy bank.

Speaker:

And my mom was like, Oh, okay.

Speaker:

And she like got her wallet out and she's can you show me what you took?

Speaker:

And there were like dollar bills and like twenties.

Speaker:

And Nova was like, I took these and she pulled out quarters.

Speaker:

Oh my God.

Speaker:

My mom was like, if you just asked for them, that's hilarious.

Speaker:

It's amazing.

Speaker:

I'm just training my kid.

Speaker:

That is amazing.

Speaker:

Hey, money flows to her, money flows to her.

Speaker:

Yes, money flows to her.

Speaker:

She is attracting it.

Speaker:

Yes, she is attracting it.

Speaker:

Money, abundance is effortless for her.

Speaker:

I love it.

Speaker:

Tiny little hands in your wallet.

Speaker:

I love it.

Speaker:

I love it.

Speaker:

That's amazing.

Speaker:

Alright, so the next one is, I am worthy of wealth and abundance.

Speaker:

Oh.

Speaker:

That's amazing.

Speaker:

That like hit me.

Speaker:

Yeah, it's a good one.

Speaker:

That's a good one.

Speaker:

Do you use anything like that?

Speaker:

No, but I should probably adopt that one.

Speaker:

You are worthy.

Speaker:

You are worthy.

Speaker:

I am worthy.

Speaker:

You are worthy of wealth and abundance.

Speaker:

I've had a couple clients that have found Know Your Worth because

Speaker:

they have searched for bookkeepers and because worth is in the title,

Speaker:

they have worthy in their mantras.

Speaker:

And so they've been drawn to Know Your Worth because of Knowing your worth.

Speaker:

You need to know your worth and understand your value and know that you deserve

Speaker:

All of the funds and the money and the finances and the happiness and the clarity

Speaker:

and all of it You deserve it and you are worthy of it all the time So if you don't

Speaker:

believe that and that gave you the ick me saying that you need to write that down.

Speaker:

Isn't that true?

Speaker:

The next one is every dollar I spend comes back to me multiplied.

Speaker:

I love this one.

Speaker:

Wow, that's a good one.

Speaker:

I love this one because I do believe that when I spend money, it's to make money.

Speaker:

I think that with everything that's in our budget, I think that with all

Speaker:

of the fun and pretty things that I buy and that I surround myself with,

Speaker:

I know that the things that I buy are elevating Myself and my brain and my

Speaker:

life and that will elevate myself.

Speaker:

That's from another book that I read too, that if you're just thinking and

Speaker:

thinking about not spending money, then you're not surrounding yourself with

Speaker:

things that are going to elevate you.

Speaker:

So I truly think like this is when I buy this, it's going to elevate me to here.

Speaker:

And that's going to come back multiplied.

Speaker:

That's also a really good philosophy for charitable giving.

Speaker:

When you give to others, you will feel the return of just being elevated.

Speaker:

When you give to others, you will get, like that, not that you should expect,

Speaker:

things immediately in return dollar for dollar, but just that thought of when

Speaker:

you give back, you are just opening the doors for the universe to just flow

Speaker:

that abundance and wealth and happiness.

Speaker:

So I think that's a really good one for every dollar I spend

Speaker:

comes back to me multiplied.

Speaker:

So when you are giving back to the community, when you're giving

Speaker:

back for donating to charity or charitable causes, I also think that

Speaker:

you can use this with your time.

Speaker:

When I spend my time in the right places.

Speaker:

The value will come back so multiplied.

Speaker:

I really resonate that with like charitable giving.

Speaker:

Yeah.

Speaker:

All right.

Speaker:

Number seven.

Speaker:

I am financially free and living my dream life.

Speaker:

So it's almost saying it as if it's already happening.

Speaker:

Yeah.

Speaker:

That's a good one.

Speaker:

That's a good one.

Speaker:

Like when you write down like what your five year goal is or where do

Speaker:

you see yourself, write down your day to day dream for what your life looks

Speaker:

like in a year, five years, ten years.

Speaker:

That's a good one for that.

Speaker:

Yeah.

Speaker:

Next one is I release all limiting beliefs about money and embrace my abundance.

Speaker:

Oh, I like that.

Speaker:

I like that one too.

Speaker:

It's a little too long for me though.

Speaker:

Yeah.

Speaker:

I'd have to shorten it.

Speaker:

Almost like I release all limiting beliefs about money.

Speaker:

Yeah.

Speaker:

Yeah.

Speaker:

And then have another one.

Speaker:

Cause there are a lot of limiting beliefs about money.

Speaker:

Whether you come from a super spending household growing up, a

Speaker:

super saving household growing up, a combative household or a calm

Speaker:

and peaceful household, there's a lot of limiting money beliefs in

Speaker:

all of those dynamics and systems.

Speaker:

Yes, absolutely.

Speaker:

So identifying what yours are and then being able to release them is huge.

Speaker:

Yeah.

Speaker:

Or I release my fears about money.

Speaker:

Yeah.

Speaker:

Yeah, absolutely.

Speaker:

I am open to receiving wealth from all sources.

Speaker:

I like that.

Speaker:

My mom used to say that we were rich in love.

Speaker:

That's what she used to tell us when we were kids.

Speaker:

We might not be rich, but we're rich in love.

Speaker:

That's what she used to say.

Speaker:

Yeah, I'm open to receiving wealth from all sources.

Speaker:

And wealth comes in a lot of different ways.

Speaker:

Relationships money, certain things, people, friendships, health.

Speaker:

That's, a lot of different places.

Speaker:

So receiving wealth from all sources.

Speaker:

And that can also mean just from, different revenue streams.

Speaker:

You're not turning off one segment of your business.

Speaker:

You're not too focused in one area of your life.

Speaker:

You're just open to everything.

Speaker:

And my bank account is overflowing with wealth and abundance.

Speaker:

I love that.

Speaker:

That's pretty specific.

Speaker:

Yeah, I love that.

Speaker:

I think that's a good one because it is really specific.

Speaker:

My bank account is big.

Speaker:

Yeah.

Speaker:

I like that.

Speaker:

Yep.

Speaker:

And you can also make them as bougie and as straightforward as you want to.

Speaker:

Because they're yours.

Speaker:

My bank is bumpin Yeah.

Speaker:

My bank account is poppin Fire.

Speaker:

Huge.

Speaker:

Fire.

Speaker:

Thriving.

Speaker:

What do the kids say?

Speaker:

Yeah, I think, it sounds, that sounds right.

Speaker:

That sounds great.

Speaker:

Yeah, that sounds right.

Speaker:

No cap.

Speaker:

I don't know.

Speaker:

Right?

Speaker:

I think that's it.

Speaker:

I think it's something like that.

Speaker:

I think, maybe.

Speaker:

We want to know your money mantras.

Speaker:

Yeah, I do.

Speaker:

I want to know your money mantras.

Speaker:

Let us know we can put them on a t shirt.

Speaker:

Yes, it'll totally cricket that.

Speaker:

I will.

Speaker:

Okay.

Speaker:

Know your worth contest launching now Yeah, let us know your best money mantra

Speaker:

Speaker:

Speaker:

Speaker:

These last forever.

Speaker:

I've made them for many people before.

Speaker:

I've made them for myself.

Speaker:
