Shownotes

Here's an optimistic Libby Clegg who's on track to make her 4th successive Paralympics as a sprinter. It's fair to say she's had a hectic and difficult 5 years since winning double gold in Rio in 2016.

She talks about her mental health struggles after those Games which led to a year off the track. Libby still believes it's left its mark and is not as confident or as happy as she was in 2016.

She's barely competed since Rio. She had a year off in 2017 with her mental health issues. Her guide runners got injured in 2018 so couldn't compete; And then she got pregnant and became a mum.

Aside from athletics, she's taken on a renovation project with a house move during lockdown. Both she and her partner Dan are registered blind. She's also mum to a near 2 year old Edward. And last year she was a finalist in Dancing on Ice on ITV as she learnt to ice dance.

Always one for a challenge - she's now started live exercise classes and she's mentoring in inner city Leicester.
