 Judges 6:11-16 NLT

Then the angel of the Lord came and sat beneath the great tree at Ophrah, which belonged to Joash of the clan of Abiezer. Gideon son of Joash was threshing wheat at the bottom of a winepress to hide the grain from the Midianites. (12) The angel of the Lord appeared to him and said, “Mighty hero, the Lord is with you!” (13) “Sir,” Gideon replied, “if the Lord is with us, why has all this happened to us? And where are all the miracles our ancestors told us about? Didn’t they say, ‘The Lord brought us up out of Egypt’? But now the Lord has abandoned us and handed us over to the Midianites.” (14) Then the Lord turned to him and said, “Go with the strength you have, and rescue Israel from the Midianites. I am sending you!” (15) “But Lord,” Gideon replied, “how can I rescue Israel? My clan is the weakest in the whole tribe of Manasseh, and I am the least in my entire family!” (16) The Lord said to him, “I will be with you. And you will destroy the Midianites as if you were fighting against one man.”

God has a good plan 

Jeremiah 29:11 NLT

For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord . “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.

God calls the "nobodies"

Brothers and sisters, God chose you to be his. Think about that! Not many of you were wise in the way the world judges wisdom. Not many of you had great influence, and not many of you came from important families. (27) But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the strong.

ある日、主の使いが現れ、アビエゼル人ヨアシュの農地内にあるオフラの樫の木の下に座っていました。ヨアシュの子ギデオンは、酒ぶね〔ぶどうを絞ってぶどう酒を作るために、岩に掘られた箱形の穴〕の中で小麦を打っていました。ミデヤン人から身を隠していたのです。(12)主の使いはギデオンの前に立ち、「勇士よ、主はあなたとともにおられる」と告げました。(13)ギデオンは答えました。「初めてお目にかかりますが、どうか教えてくれませんか。主が共におられるのなら、なぜ、こんなことが次から次へと起こるのですか。先祖から聞かされました。主がエジプトから導き出してくださった時には、驚くべきみわざがたくさん行われたと。なのに、今はどうです。そんなみわざのかけらもないではありませんか。もう主は私たちを見捨てて、ミデヤン人にしたい放題をさせ、踏みつけられるに任せておられるのです。」(14)すると主は、ギデオンに向かって言いました。「わたしがあなたを強くする。行きなさい。イスラエルをミデヤン人から救い出すのだ。わたしがあなたを遣わす。」(15)ギデオンは答えました。「主よ、とんでもありません。私がイスラエルを救うことなど、できるわけありません。私の家はマナセ族の中で最も弱く、それに私は家で一番年下なのです。」(16)主は彼に言います。「神であるわたしがついているのだ。だからあなたは、たちどころにミデヤンの大軍を打ち破ることができる。」

神様は良い計画を持っている
