This episode serves as a precursor to the highly anticipated finale of our current season, wherein we discuss the complexities surrounding scheduling and the collaborative efforts required to maintain the podcast's continuity. The speakers express their commitment to delivering an engaging and chaotic conclusion, despite the challenges posed by disparate locations and commitments. We acknowledge the necessity of filler episodes that will bridge the gap between seasons, particularly in light of personal circumstances affecting the production timeline. Furthermore, we extend an invitation to our listeners to contribute their own Dungeons & Dragons experiences, which may enhance future discussions and episodes. As we approach this climactic moment, we remain grateful for the support of our audience and the guests who have enriched our journey thus far.
Roll the dice, raise the ale Heroes gather, tell the tale Chat Monday the quest's begun not ones fly but we still run.
Speaker A:Mud's up high Let legends come welcome into chats one and done.
Speaker B:What's up everybody?
Speaker B:Welcome back.
Speaker B:We got sidetracked one more time and we have one more final episode filler before we actually start.
Speaker B:Cj, how are you?
Speaker C:Not too bad.
Speaker C:Head's starting to kill me.
Speaker C:Even more so.
Speaker C:But you know, the normal.
Speaker B:Normal.
Speaker B:Oh, so you mean the standard.
Speaker C:Yeah, basically.
Speaker C:And yeah, we, we apologize for the, the another mini kind of episode but it's, it's one of those where you know, again, this kind of thing, scheduling is pretty difficult especially when you have different countries and all that that you're trying to get involved.
Speaker C:So we do apologize but God damn it, we're making it happen.
Speaker B:It's gonna happen.
Speaker B:I think we have a schedule for this week.
Speaker B:So we just barely missed the episode.
Speaker C:Actually two days.
Speaker B:Yeah, we just barely missed the episode deadline.
Speaker B:But.
Speaker B:So yeah, but you guys will have it for next week.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker C:So be ready for an epic finale.
Speaker C:We don't know how long the episode's gonna be.
Speaker C:We don't know what all is gonna transpire.
Speaker C:We just know that it is going to be chaotic, as interesting as, and very, very entertaining.
Speaker B:Yep, yep.
Speaker B:It's gonna be 75 hour episode.
Speaker C:Yes.
Speaker C:Oh God, that would be.
Speaker C:Dude, that would take up the entirety of a weekend actually since we're recording that one technically on Thursday.
Speaker C:I don't think we can manage that cuz we got to go to work on Friday.
Speaker B:We're going to continue the call or the stream during.
Speaker C:Just at work.
Speaker C:I mean I do have the wireless mic that I can take for my end.
Speaker C:So you know, I, I would have that.
Speaker C:But I, I do, I do wonder.
Speaker C:So.
Speaker C:Well one, a little bit of a heads up is after the finale and this season, in between this season and season five, we will have some filler, random episodes.
Speaker C:And that's just because again, by the time this is all done, we do our normal break in between to start planning.
Speaker C:We're also going to have to add just a little bit of a break possibly for when my daughter comes because she's going to be here in August.
Speaker C:So there might be.
Speaker C:Yeah, so there might be a little bit more of a break but we're going to make sure to get some filler episodes in there, some random episodes in there and then, you know, we'll come back strong with season five.
Speaker C:So if any of you listeners out there have some interesting DND shit, reach out to us.
Speaker C:We do have chat oneandone.com so you can always go there.
Speaker C:It's not like the podcast with the and symbol.
Speaker C:It's you know, C H A T the number one A N D O N E com.
Speaker B:You.
Speaker C:Yeah, we're fancy and trying to get it on the app store but you know, that takes a little bit of time.
Speaker C:But God damn it, we're working on it.
Speaker B:Folks like you.
Speaker B:CJ said like little filler episodes.
Speaker B:We might have some interviews, we might just have some reflections on this season.
Speaker B:Cuz this was a crazy season.
Speaker B:It was a long time in the making and it was even longer for planning and execution of this.
Speaker C:Oh dude.
Speaker C:I, I wish all the listeners could kind of see what went into making this season happen and just the amount of stuff that had to be done to get it to be a thing.
Speaker C:Like I, I wish there was a way that we could show the like a behind the scenes but I don't know how we would even make that possible.
Speaker B:I don't know because I don't think everything that we recorded is out.
Speaker B:I don't think we had any pre recording things.
Speaker C:No, no, I don't think so.
Speaker C:And that's, that's another thing, guys.
Speaker C:So we, we love the podcast and we're gonna keep it on.
Speaker C:But just know that is why we have breaks in between the seasons.
Speaker C:Just because it is a, a long process to get everything going, everything scheduled between, you know, Dante, Rudy, myself, it's, it's quite a bit of back and forth and in between and then, you know, trying to get with some of the guests.
Speaker C:We have had people that, you know, express a lot of interest in coming on and then as soon as we reach out and start trying to plan it, I don't know if it's nerves, I don't know if it's something else.
Speaker C:They just back out.
Speaker C:But we've had, you know, that kind of thing we've had where people apply and want to come on and then we start digging into stuff and we realize it's more either like closer to possible scamminess or they don't really fit what the podcast is like.
Speaker C:We're trying to get, you know, D and D stuff out and they might come to us with, oh, I have this game that has, you know, I'm developing this game and it's going to be on the play store and PS5 and Xbox, but it has nothing to do with D and D and it's like that's, it's Fruit Ninja book.
Speaker C:DNZ community.
Speaker B:Yes, exactly.
Speaker C:Vegetable slice Samurai.
Speaker C:Yes.
Speaker C:Yes.
Speaker C:I love it.
Speaker C:We gotta make it happen.
Speaker C:We, we gotta see if we can make a Dante to the slimes.
Speaker C:Yes.
Speaker C:Oh, speaking of, if you guys would be interested in only slimes merch.
Speaker C:And by that I mean only slime stickers because I can now make stickers.
Speaker C:I actually have made straw.
Speaker B:Yeah.
Speaker C:Esque style merch.
Speaker C:Yeah.
Speaker C:We do have the straw box.
Speaker C:I have some other custom Strahd stuff coming out.
Speaker C:So again, if that's something you guys are interested in, we might have to send some of that shit to whoever becomes champion.
Speaker C:Primo.
Speaker C:Yeah, we, we definitely have some ideas, some stuff, but again, it's, you know, it's, it's something that you can plan for and think about, but when it all comes to fruition, it's, it's a whole different story.
Speaker C:But I think Rudy, you were saying you might have possibilities for a couple episodes.
Speaker B:So I think you and Dant are going to be having some, some one shot fun.
Speaker C:I'm always game for that.
Speaker C:I say, you know me, anything D.
Speaker B:D make to you guys, give you guys a heads up, keep you in the loop.
Speaker B:Just know that we love you guys.
Speaker B:Thank you guys for helping make this possible.
Speaker B:Thank you to all of our guests that we've had that help make the Sovereign eight what it is.
Speaker B:And just keep a lookout for the last episode of the Sovereign 8 coming next week.
Speaker C:Yes, it is going to be epic.
Speaker C:It is going to be intense.
Speaker C:So spread the word, get everybody that you know hyped up and ready for it because it is going to be a doozy.
Speaker C:And on top of that, if you guys have anybody in the DND community that you guys know that is a, a dm, a player, a custom creator for things dnd, anything that involves D and D that you think would be a good fit to hop on and have some fun with Rudy, Dante and I, please send them our way.
Speaker C:If you go to the website, we do have a scheduler on there.
Speaker C:I'm working on trying to figure out the best way to get that set up, but it is there.
Speaker C:So yeah, just be ready.
Speaker C:Guys.
Speaker C:We, as Rudy said, we appreciate the hell out of you.
Speaker C:We love you guys very much.
Speaker C:We thank you for everything that you've done, current guests, past guests, anyone that's been on the show.
Speaker C:We couldn't do it without you listeners.
Speaker C:We couldn't do it without you guys.
Speaker C:So we thank you all for everything you've done and all the support that you've given.
Speaker A:The dice are down, the tail is spun.
Speaker A:Another quest on.
Speaker A:Chat one and done.
Speaker A:Raise your mugs, the night is won.
Speaker A:Roll again when next we come from NAT1 fails to leg.
Speaker A:Thanks for joining.
Speaker A:Chat one and done.
