“Just because we have trials and tribulations, doesn’t mean that God is not working with us” - Wesleyne
Daniel 6:19 to 22:
Very early the next morning, the king got up and hurried out to the lions’ den. When he got there, he called out in anguish, “Daniel, servant of the living God! Was your God, whom you serve so faithfully, able to rescue you from the lions?” Daniel answered, “Long live the king! My God sent his angel to shut the lions’ mouths so that they would not hurt me, for I have been found innocent in his sight. And I have not wronged you, Your Majesty.”
In this verse, we encounter the gripping climax of the story where Daniel, having been thrown into the lions' den because of his faithfulness to God, is visited by King Darius the next morning. The verse is poignant, highlighting the suspense and hope that intertwines with faith. The genuine concern of King Darius, a non-Israelite ruler, showcases the profound impact of Daniel's unwavering faith not just on himself but on those around him, including those in positions of immense power. Today, you will learn about the power of genuine, unwavering faith. Despite facing certain death, Daniel's trust in God did not waver. This faith was not only recognized by God but was also evident to those around him, teaching us that true faith can be a testimony to both believers and non-believers alike.
You will also learn about God's ability to deliver and protect those who are faithful to Him. While the narrative revolves around a miraculous intervention, the underlying message is timeless: God stands with those who stand with Him, even in the face of seemingly insurmountable adversity. Daniel's response to the king underscores the importance of integrity. Daniel was saved not just because of his faith but because he was "found innocent" before God and had done no wrong before the king. This serves as a powerful reminder that faith and righteous living, when combined, lead to divine favor and protection.
