Melissa Deally:

Okay, welcome back to another episode of health hack. And today I want to talk about two important questions to ask your doctor. If you have symptoms, and you've got yourself to the doctor's office, you need to know that you can ask them, Why, if they diagnosed you with something high blood pressure, type two diabetes, whatever it is, ask them why, why do I have this? Because when you get the answer to the why that allows you to then be able to take steps to undo it, because you know how you got there. So you know how you can go back in time and undo it. And if you have a doctor that is willing to help you answer that why that's awesome. And if you don't, and they just say, oh, we'll never know. Just take this pill, and you have to take this pill for the rest of your life. Perhaps you want to look for another practitioner that will help you answer the why I know for me, it's always been really important to answer the why. And when my doctor can't answer that, I keep looking for solutions that will help me get to the why. And every time I've done that, I've been able to figure it out and resolve the underlying health issue once and for all. The other important question you want to ask your doctor is, or your doctor might make a suggestion to you give you a prescription for something and you can say I can do this, or is there another way that I can resolve whatever health condition it is that I have, very often they will just tell you one way, this is how you do it. Yet, there's always more than one way to heal. And if in your body, it doesn't feel in alignment with you to follow what they're suggesting, which is very often a prescription pill that can often then have side effects that result in another pill and you go down that slippery slope, ask the question or or what else can I do in order to reverse whatever's happened that's triggered this diagnosis now, because if you didn't have high blood pressure five years ago, if you didn't have type two diabetes five years ago, obviously, something's changed. And when you understand what the root causes are, you can then go back and reverse it in order to not need any medications at all. And wouldn't that be a great solution? Yes, it takes more work. So ultimately, it comes down to what you want to do and how much you want to invest in your health and your longevity. But know that you can ask questions. And two very important questions are to ask why I have this and or what else can I do?
