Shawn and Rachel interview the passionate and profound, Dr. Shalsee Vigeant. In May of 2022, Dr. Vigeant introduced the world to her unique perspective of veterinary medicine in her TEDx Talk "A Beastly Business". As a veterinary doctor, director, and practice owner for over 3 decades, Shalsee has worked across the world specializing in trauma and emergency medicine. Before coming to New Zealand, she was the director of a large-scale emergency clinic in New Hampshire. She then went on to the role of Veterinary Manager at the SPCA in Auckland. She's found that outside of the animals she cares for, her passions lie in the public education about her profession and mentoring to grow resilient veterinary professionals.
