In our first highlight episode of Spooptober, we talk about one of Katie's favorite Halloween flicks: BEHIND THE MASK: THE RISE OF LESLIE VERNON. This horror-comedy-mockumentary flew under the radar and into our hearts.

In an homage to all things horror, BEHIND THE MASK tells the story of a young, naive filmmaker, Taylor, who, along with her small crew, Doug and Todd, are filming a documentary on the slashers who terrorize small towns. To get an inside look on the industry, they contact and befriend the charming and seemingly stable Leslie Vernon. He agrees to let the filmmakers document his process as he prepares to return to his ancestral home of Glen Echo and begin his reign of terror. But will they maintain journalistic integrity or join in the mayhem?
