Speaker:your gut is more important to your erection than you think,

Speaker:Hey there. I'm Dr Anne Truong. I've treated over 7000 men with
Speaker:ED. What I have learned in treating so many men, especially
Speaker:my patients, is that what you eat, it really affect your gut.
Speaker:Your gut is your intestine, and how it will affect your
Speaker:erection. And I'm going to talk about it, so let's dive into it.
Speaker:So your gut bacteria are directly controlling your
Speaker:erection. Here's the thing. Inside your gut, there are
Speaker:trillion, I'm talking not a billion, trillion, with a T, of
Speaker:bacteria living. They're talking, there are trillions of
Speaker:bacteria living. It's about approximately 37 trillion
Speaker:microorganisms. These aren't just guests taking up space.
Speaker:They're producing chemicals controlling your hormones, and
Speaker:they're regulating inflammation and dictating where the blood
Speaker:flow can come to your penis during arousal. Yes, your
Speaker:bacteria can determine the blood flow to your penis. Think of
Speaker:your gut as the operating system of the sexual health and your
Speaker:penis. That's just the application running on that
Speaker:operating system. So when your gut bacteria is out of balance,
Speaker:which is called dysbiosis, everything downstream suffers.
Speaker:Alright?
Speaker:So here's what happened when you have a healthy gut. So what is a
Speaker:healthy gut? Well, a healthy gut supports nitric oxide pathway.
Speaker:So let's talk about nitric oxide production. Your gut bacteria
Speaker:produce something called nitric oxide. And nitric oxide is
Speaker:literally the chemical that makes the penis hard. It's the
Speaker:same chemical that Viagra and Cialis are designed to preserve.
Speaker:Here's how it works. When you eat leafy green vegetables, like
Speaker:spinach, kale, arugula, or use my nitric oxide capsule here.

Speaker:So your bacteria and gut bacteria convert those nitrate

Speaker:the bacteria in your gut can't process those nutrients. Okay?
Speaker:So remember, nitrate become nitrite, become nitric oxide,
Speaker:all right.
Speaker:So, next, second mechanism, let's talk about short-chain
Speaker:fatty acid. This is where it gets really interesting. When
Speaker:Men, struggling to stay hard? Most of the time it comes down
Speaker:you eat like fiber, all right, the bacteria ferment that fiber
Speaker:and produce compound that's called short-chain fatty acid,
Speaker:which is called butyrate, acetate and propionate. Okay.
Speaker:These fatty acids do three critical things for erection.
Speaker:to poor blood flow. That's why I put together the Good Morning
Speaker:Number one, they reduce systemic inflammation, and inflammation
Speaker:is a major cause of ED. Number two, they improve blood flow,
Speaker:healthier blood vessel means better blood flow to the penis.

Speaker:Their bodies aren't recycling testosterone efficiently,
Speaker:testosterone being lost in the stool instead of being
Speaker:reabsorbed and reused. So you could have a perfectly normal
Speaker:testosterone production, but if your gut bacteria can't process
Speaker:or you don't have certain strain, then you become
Speaker:testosterone deficient. All right.
Speaker:So what happens when your gut deteriorate? Well, here's that's
Speaker:what happened is that your erection is compromised. So when
Speaker:you have dysbiosis, which means the imbalance of the gut
Speaker:bacteria, several things happen in rapid succession. First, your
Speaker:intestine barrier degrade. The scientist called leaky gut. Your
Speaker:gut lining is supposed to be selective about what gets into
Speaker:your bloodstream. But when it's compromised, the bacteria
Speaker:component called LPS leak through. So the immune system
Speaker:sees this invasion and launch an inflammation response, which is
Speaker:not good for your blood flow. So this chronic low grade
Speaker:inflammation damage your blood vessels, which then damage the
Speaker:penis muscle, and that is not good. No erection. Then ED
Speaker:happened. So let's kind of break this down about a metabolite
Speaker:called TMAO, and why certain bacteria break down red meat and
Speaker:other animal products, and they produce TMAO, right? TMAO does
Speaker:three things. One, it's bad for blood flow, it increases
Speaker:oxidative stress and inflammation. And number three,
Speaker:it reduces your nitric oxide availability. So what it means
Speaker:is that if you eat a lot of processed food, right? Food that
Speaker:is in a can or a bag, and red meat with dysbiotic gut, you
Speaker:actually tend to have high level of TMAO.
Speaker:Okay, let's talk about the psychological component. Now
Speaker:there's another layer to this that most people miss, the gut
Speaker:and the brain access. Your gut bacteria directly communicate
Speaker:with your brain through the vagus nerve. And they do this by
Speaker:producing nerve transmitters. So 90% of your body, serotonin is
Speaker:produced in your gut. Serotonin is the "feel me good hormone"
Speaker:right? Not in your brain, it's in your gut. So when you have
Speaker:dysbiosis or imbalance, you're not producing enough serotonin,
Speaker:low serotonin, depression, anxiety, low libido. And
Speaker:psychological ED is real. It's not in your head. It's actually
Speaker:in your gut. So additionally, the imbalance in your gut
Speaker:activate what we call HPA Axis your stress response. So
Speaker:cortisol goes up. Elevated cortisol suppresses sexual
Speaker:function. So you're not just dealing with what's the vascular
Speaker:problem? You're dealing with a neurochemical problem that
Speaker:originate in your gut. I know that's a lot to talk about, and
Speaker:it's kind of little geeky, but let me show you what the
Speaker:research actually say in 2023 a systemic review analyzing 12
Speaker:trial found that probiotic intervention significantly
Speaker:improves sexual function score in women and also in men. But
Speaker:here's what's important, this same mechanism applied to men.
Speaker:The study shows that using a fecal microbiota transplantation
Speaker:in rats shows something fascinating. When researcher
Speaker:transplanted the gut bacteria from rat on a high fat diet into
Speaker:healthy rat. Recipient rat develop ED. So when they
Speaker:transplanted the bacteria from healthy rat into unhealthy rat,
Speaker:the erection improved. So this proves that the gut bacteria are
Speaker:literally contributing to your erection function, alright? So
Speaker:you have bacteria imbalance, then it will contribute to ED.
Speaker:If you have bacteria balance, then it will help better
Speaker:erection function. So that's something to take away from
Speaker:this. That means that if you have ED, your gut is probably
Speaker:compromised. It may not be the only problem, but it's
Speaker:definitely part of the problem.
Speaker:So what actually ruined your gut microbiome? Well, here's the hit
Speaker:list.
Speaker:Okay, modern man. If you're struggling with weak erection,
Speaker:low energy, the food you eat could be the big part of the
Speaker:problem. One of the best research pathways to boost
Speaker:circulation, support healthy testosterone and improve sexual
Speaker:performance is the Mediterranean diet. It's packed with food that
Speaker:open up your blood vessel, lower inflammation, and fuel your
Speaker:hormone, naturally. I've seen men notice real improvement in
Speaker:both energy and erection within weeks when they shift to this

Speaker:Number one, ultra processed food, like seed oil, refined
Speaker:carbohydrate, artificial sweeteners. These literally
Speaker:select for pathogenic bacteria, and they're feeding the bad
Speaker:bacteria. Don't eat it. Number two, antibiotics. I know, I know
Speaker:sometimes you need them, but they nuke your entire bacteria
Speaker:system. It will take months to recover, and some bacteria never
Speaker:come back. Number three, chronic stress. Stress hormone directly
Speaker:suppresses the beneficial bacteria. Number four, not
Speaker:enough fiber. Fiber is what your bacteria eat. So no fiber, no
Speaker:short chain fatty acid production, no protection.
Speaker:Number five, is excessive alcohol. Number six, sedentary
Speaker:lifestyle. Exercises increased bacteria diversity. Not moving,
Speaker:decreasing it.
Speaker:So here's the thing, most men with ED are checking multiple
Speaker:boxes on this list. They're eating processed food, they're
Speaker:sedentary, they're stressed, and they haven't given their gut any
Speaker:consideration whatsoever. Or you may not know, right? That's why
Speaker:you watch this channel. But the good part is, I'm going to show
Speaker:you how to fix your gut and your erection. Are you guys ready?
Speaker:Here we go. Strategy number one, dietary changing. All right, so
Speaker:here's what you actually need to do about this. Number one,
Speaker:increase your fiber. All right, I want you eating 30 to 40 grams
Speaker:of fiber daily. Not from supplement but from whole foods
Speaker:such as vegetable, legume, whole grain. Follow the Mediterranean
Speaker:diet. This feed beneficial bacteria and increases
Speaker:short-chain fatty acid. So you go check this link right here
Speaker:for the Mediterranean diet. All right, if you kind of eat the
Speaker:food you want to focus on leafy greens, spinach, kale, arugula,
Speaker:or try to take our nitric oxide supplement. You want lentil
Speaker:bean, chickpea. You want whole grains such as Oat, barley,
Speaker:brown rice, and you want broccoli and cabbage. Number
Speaker:two, eat fermented food. So add this to your diet, high quality
Speaker:yogurt with live cultures, kefir, sauerkraut, kimchi, miso,
Speaker:tempeh. So these provide beneficial bacteria that you can
Speaker:directly eat, and it will populate your gut. Number three,
Speaker:eliminate the destroyers, cut out ultra processed food as much
Speaker:as possible. Reduce seed oil consumption, minimize your
Speaker:carbohydrate or the sweet, the pastries, and if you consume
Speaker:alcohol to keep it under 14, drinks a week number four, add
Speaker:resistant starch. What that mean is that cook past the rice or
Speaker:potatoes and let them cool. When they cool, the starch convert to
Speaker:a form that is resistant to digestion, so that your bacteria
Speaker:will ferment to producing butyrate. So if you implement
Speaker:this right now, starting tomorrow, one change you will
Speaker:increase. If you increase your fiber content by 10 gram, eat
Speaker:one medium apple or servings of legume, do that for a week. And
Speaker:then you start adding fermented food, all right? And then you
Speaker:start eliminating processed food category, boom, I will bet you
Speaker:your erection will get better, or you'll be noticing better
Speaker:morning wood. Now you could take probiotic as well. So this is
Speaker:where most men get confused, because there are thousands of
Speaker:gram. Here's what the research shows, what work for sexual
Speaker:function. Specifically you want lactobacillus acidophilus,
Speaker:lactobacillus plantarium, bifidobacterium longum and
Speaker:bifidobacterium bifidum. So these strains have been shown
Speaker:and studied to improve sexual function, increase testosterone,
Speaker:reduce inflammation. But this is important, a good probiotic
Speaker:needs multiple strain, not just one, at least 10 to 50 billion
Speaker:CFU per dose, and make sure that it has shelf stability and that
Speaker:it's been tested. Okay. So don't just grab whatever cheapest on
Speaker:Amazon. Quality matters here. You can check out our store. We

Speaker:So in a 2025 systemic review, found that combining probiotic
Speaker:with dietary changes produce significant better result than
Speaker:either one alone. So my recommendation is this, start
Speaker:with dietary changes that I show you first, after about four to
Speaker:six weeks, you're not seeing improvement, add a high quality,
Speaker:multi strain probiotic. So this is another pro tip. Take your
Speaker:probiotic with a prebiotic, something that feed the
Speaker:beneficial bacteria, like inulin and FOS or plain old fiber works
Speaker:great. Now, don't forget lifestyle optimization, right?
Speaker:You want to be able to exercise 30 minutes four times a week,
Speaker:sleep at least seven hours at night time and decrease your
Speaker:stress with either box breathing or with meditation. Drink plenty
Speaker:of water. Normally, drink two thirds of your weight in ounces
Speaker:of water and avoid antibiotic, if you can. And so the most
Speaker:important thing, guys is that do one thing at a time. All right.
Speaker:So if you start doing this, you're gonna start seeing your
Speaker:gut will start shifting, and you will actually improve your
Speaker:erection within about four to six weeks. And what you're going
Speaker:to notice is you're going to have better digestion, better
Speaker:mood, better sleep, less anxiety as well, better focus and
Speaker:definitely better erection as well. So you're really treating
Speaker:the root cause of the problem and it will be easier for you to
Speaker:get erection as well, improve libido, improve sensitivity, and
Speaker:you're going to see major changes at around three to six
Speaker:months. So the key is to be consistent and keep going at it.
Speaker:Alright?
Speaker:So here's what I want you to take away from this. It's a lot,
Speaker:I know, because I'm just so excited about this. The ED isn't
Speaker:just a penis problem. It's not just a heart problem. It's also
Speaker:a gut health problem as well. So most men treating ED are
Speaker:focusing on like the symptom, like taking Viagra, right? But
Speaker:those things have their place, but they're not addressing the
Speaker:root cause of the problem. Your gut bacteria is supporting your
Speaker:erection or even destroying it. There's no middle ground. But
Speaker:the good news is, I just show you steps on how you can fix
Speaker:this. It's not complicated. Eat more fiber, add more fermented
Speaker:food, manage your stress, move more and eat a Mediterranean
Speaker:diet, right? And then consider a high quality probiotic. So start
Speaker:with your diet first. Nothing works better than diet and
