When I first met Heidi Dunstan, I could feel her calmness. She came to her business from personal experience, and has made it her mission to help others navigate the rocky waters of grief.
Heidi is a grief advocate and educator. She is a speaker and author whose mission is to support grievers in those first few years when the crazy train of grief is toughest.
The sudden, unexpected death of her common law husband led her into a realization that many of us are not equipped to deal with grief.
Every one of us has our own story of grief but none of us has been taught how to grieve.
Heidi believes that grief is love and it should never be done alone. She teaches people what to say and not to say to those who are grieving – giving them the tools to lean into grief.
In this episode, Heidi joins Janice and talks about:
What to say and not to say to someone who is grieving
Ways to help and support a grieving person
Why asking first makes a big difference
Acknowledging that others are also grieving with you
The beautiful piece about grief

A little about me:
I began my career as a teacher, was a corporate trainer for many years, and then found my niche training & supporting business owners, entrepreneurs & sales professionals to network at a world-class level. My passion is working with motivated people, who are coachable and who want to build their businesses through relationship marketing and networking (online & offline). I help my clients create retention strategies, grow through referrals, and create loyal customers by staying connected.
In appreciation for being here, I have a couple of gifts for you.
