Getting your life sorted, often takes one step at a time. Even if you've found yourself in a tricky spot of financial bother – May I suggest you partially could have arrived there with a sequence of misguided steps?
Here’s the great news: If you want to get out of your tricky spot of bother, it's just as simple as how you arrived there - it involves taking a series of steps in a more appropriate direction. Over time, step by step, while you might not be where you want to be, at least you're doing everything you can to improve your situation.
Investing is best performed once you have some of the basics sorted. You need not get it 100% right though so all good. If you disregard these steps completely though, here's the warning: The wealth-building moves you're making now, may have to be reversed at some stage.
So what are the steps we're covering today?
- Start your safety net.
- Get your KiwiSaver right.
- Start tackling your debt.
- Cover your people, money, stuff.
- Run your retirement numbers.
- Set your targets, then hit them!
These steps are not complicated, but they do require action - it gets tricky often when there's more than one of you in charge of finances too. We have you covered there also don't fret - in the next couple of weeks there'll be another episode released in conjunction with CFFC discussing 'love and money'
