And I'm Ivy. This is the April edition and it's a special one.

Art:

That's right, Ivy. This month we're celebrating the anniversary of the Spirits Book. That's right, Ivy. This April marks the 168th anniversary of the Spirits Book.

Ivy:

168 years. It's amazing to think about the impact this book has had on spiritism and continues to have on the world.

Art:

Absolutely. It's truly the foundation upon which spiritism is built.

Alan Kardec provided us with such an incredible framework for understanding life, the spirit world and our place in the universe.

Ivy:

And it's not just a historical document. Its teachings are timeless and still incredibly relevant today.

Kardec's work continues to inspire and guide people seeking deeper meaning and understanding. Speaking of deeper meaning, we're thrilled to introduce a brand new podcast, Spirit, Mind and Meaning.

This podcast explores the fascinating intersection of psychology and spirituality through a spiritist lens.

Art:

That sounds intriguing. Tell us more, Ivy.

Ivy:

It's a collaborative effort produced in partnership with several international spiritist organizations. The podcast launches with a special series on Kardec and Joanna DeAngelis.

Art:

For those unfamiliar, Joanna DeAngelis is a highly regarded spiritual guide and author in the spiritist community.

Ivy:

Exactly. The series will delve into their teachings through the lens of transpersonal psychology. It promises to offer some insightful discussions.

Ivy:

Oh, what's so special about it?

Art:

Well, it takes a deep dive into Alan Kardec's life and and his scientific approach to spiritual experiences. It's quite significant because it marks the first time a peer reviewed international journal has featured such a comprehensive study of Kardec.

Ivy:

That's a major milestone. It really elevates Spiritism into academic conversations. Absolutely, Art. Speaking of youth, let's highlight a wonderful initiative in the uk.

The Solidarity Spiritist Society, in partnership with bus, which is the British Union of Spiritist Societies, is now offering online Spiritus study sessions for young people.

Art:

That's fantastic. It must be a great help to families who don't have a local Spiritist center nearby.

Ivy:

Exactly. These weekly meetings via Google Meet offer a welcoming space for youth to connect, reflect and grow through Spiritism.
