One of the challenges of being human is that the ego-mind automatically leads with its opinions, judgements, and stories that will either build others up or more likely tear them down. It has no neutral thoughts and it’s almost always sure that it’s right and because of this, we think we know and understand where someone else is coming from.
We write stories, apply meaning and assign ourselves the role of judge and jury. What we learn however, as we move through life is that we actually don’t know the whole picture or truth when it comes to others.
Today on The Karen Kenney Show, we’re talking about having the willingness to let go of our judgements and allowing our preconceived ideas to fall away. It’s an invitation to practice being more kind.
We honestly never really know what someone else has gone or is going through. We don’t know what their reality is or what it’s like to be them.
We can’t possibly even begin to understand until we have a willingness to get personal, listen and talk to others about these things.
It’s not always an easy task to set aside our perspectives and opinions - but the only way we’re going to get through this life together - is if we put down our judgements, lead with curiosity and love, step up as instruments of peace and Be Kind, Be Kind, Be Kind.
