This week, Fiona continues her (abridged) play through Knight of the Living Dead, a solo quest adventure book set in the Forgotten Realms!

Written by Allen Varney and published by TSR in 1989, Knight of the Living Dead is part of the CATACOMBS gamebook series which, according to the blurb, represents the ultimate challenge in role-playing adventure.

Through lavish illustrations, readers would journey from chamber to chamber in search of the precious object of their quest. Analytical powers would be tested to the utmost as readers must decide how to deal with the weird and wondrous creatures and artefacts they encounter, using a simplified d12 rule system.
