INTRODUCTION:
Worship is a state of heart, not a program. A true believer has lost a lot of his interest in “things.” He puts his focus on the realm that is higher than the senses—the realm of spirit. What emerges in a believer's spirit is the seeking to be in the Lord's presence. He learns that the real thing the Father is seeking is a people who worship in spirit and truth.
SHOW NOTES:
Believers are coming to know by revelation that their main purpose in life is to worship the Lord.
Worshiping the Lord means walking away from a love of the world that exalts itself above Christ and enthroning Him in all that you do.
The Lord brings forth the worship in a believer who has a relationship with Him'
It's important to be diligent to break out of ruts and develop an awareness of the Holy Spirit leading each day.
Drawing His presence into everything you do is freeing and can be creative.
A big part of the heart of worship is being thankful.
Christ was worship to the Father; the Body of Christ is to follow His example.
QUOTATIONS:
Worship is not singing songs; it is absolutely coming into His presence with that in our hearts and giving Him the honor, giving Him the glory, giving Him the praise.
When you worship, or you respect somebody, you usually lay down your thoughts and your ways when you come in their presence, because you're honoring them.
You can get up in the morning, set your spirit in worship, and it will affect everything you do all day long.
I believe that as spiritual beings, if we start our day the way that He intends for us to start it, we will live in the Spirit continually throughout the day.
When you're crazy in love, who do you talk about? The one you love!
Worship is who I am, not what I do, and so, if that 's true as we go through our days, everything can be worship.
We have the true worship residing within us.
REFERENCES:
I will bless the Lord at all times;
His praise shall continually be in my mouth.
My soul will make its boasts in the Lord;
The humble will hear it and rejoice.
O magnify the Lord with me
And let us exalt His name together.
As for you, the anointing which you received from Him abides in you, and you have no need for anyone to teach you; but as His anointing teaches you about all things, and is true and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you abide in Him.
Now when all the people were baptized, Jesus was also baptized, and while He was praying, heaven was opened, and the Holy Spirit descended upon Him in bodily form lie a dive, and a voice came out of heaven, “You are My beloved Son, in You I am well-pleased.”
And He was transfigured before them; and His face shone like the sun, and His garments became as white as light...While he was still speaking, a bright cloud overshadowed them, and behold a voice out of the cloud said, “This is My beloved Son, with whom I am well-pleased, listen to Him.”
But an hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for such people the Father seeks to be His worshipers. God is spirit and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.
TAKE AWAY:
The sons of God are coming into a new day of a deeper awareness of their relationship with the Father. He is creating them to be His worshipers. In the depth of their hearts, they are finding a love for Him. It's walking through life, crazy in love!
Dale:
We are being taught, encouraged, invited to reach into a level of worship that we've never been in before. And it's coming by revelation where we reach our eternal purpose. And our eternal purpose is to be worshipers unto our Lord for eternity.
Mike:
As we're finding out, this thing of worshiping, or being worshipers, is much more than we realize.
Ken:
Worship is not singing songs. It's something that comes out of our hearts, that adores and loves God with all of us. What pleases God? It's absolutely coming into His presence with that in our hearts and giving Him the honor, giving Him the glory, giving Him the praise. Isn't He worthy of all of that? That is true worship.
Ron:
When someone tells me that for eternity I'm going to worship the Lord, I sure as heck hope it's not standing before some throne with my hands up in the air singing. But it's not that. When you worship or you respect somebody, you usually lay down your thoughts and your ways when you come in their presence because you're honoring them.
If we're talking about worshiping the Lord for eternity, isn't it more of an inward laying down of anything that would be your own and exalting what the Lord wants.
Debbie:
It's out of our relationship with the Lord, worship comes. It's out of our hearts, out of our relationship with Him , we come into a real worship. We worship all the time.
Ron:
When you start your day out, do you just fall into a rut? You do this, and you do this, and you do this, and you do this through your day. We're talking about coming up higher and worshiping the Lord. Is it possible to open up to the Lord every day and say, It's a new day, so I don't just go through the motions of the day as a normal day.
I'm looking for something new. I'm looking for the leading of the Holy Spirit that day. You go down one road, the first time you ever went down it, you're really aware of everything. But every day you go down that road, pretty soon you become less aware, and less aware, and less aware. Translate that to your life to your days . Do you go through your days and are pretty soon you become unaware of things around you or what the Lord's doing. That's beginning to touch on what we're talking about of worship from our being, from our life.
Dale:
Worship is the thing that the Father wants from us. You can get up in the morning, set your spirit in worship, and it'll affect everything you do all day long.
Ken:
I believe that as spiritual beings, if we start our day the way that He intends for us to start it, we will live in the Spirit continually throughout the day.
Janet:
It's a love affair with him. Psalm 34, I will bless the Lord at all times. His praise shall continually be in my mouth. It's walking through life, crazy in love with the Lord. knowing needs crazy in love with us.
Trisha:
I know there's a scripture that says, we do all things unto the Lord Jesus Christ. So I think everything and anything we do is worship. Doing dishes can be worship. That's what's so exciting that we just bless the whole body of Christ that worship is not limited to standing and singing. It is a state of heart. It is our set of our heart. And I think that's so freeing and creative.
Ken:
That's the level of awareness we're talking about. We live because of His spirit that is in us. And when we recognize that there is just a spirit of recognition in us, and out of that flows a level of worship. It just flows out. You're so thankful to the Lord for who He is, and what He is inside of you.
Mike:
When you're crazy in love, who do you talk about? The one you love. The Lord just wants our focus on Him.
Dale:
I'm not a worshiper, I am worship. Worship is not what I do, it's what I am. How do I worship? I worship in thanksgiving.
Ron:
Worship is who I am, not what I do. And so if that's true As we go through our days, everything can be worship.
Ken:
This is the love. This is His presence. This is our worship back to Him.
Pat:
It is a people. It is a people that are giving back to Him. Our heart of love back to Him. I was reading just now from 1 John 2, 27, the anointing.
which you receive from Him abides in you, and you have no need for anyone to teach you. But as His anointing teaches you about all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you. You abide in Him. We abide. And we find that peace that surpasses all our understanding.
Ken:
God's love is in us. His presence is in us. Very simplistic. And that's the thing that will keep you. In this place of worship.
Ron:
To know who you are, that you are a worshiper, that's just who you are. It's not what you're doing. Christ was worship to the Father. He just was worship to the Father. I think we're coming into that in our inner beings, not some atmosphere we walk in. No, we are the atmosphere.
Ken:
That's interesting you said that because it reminded me of two different times that the father spoke about His son. When He was being baptized by John in the River Jordan. God spoke and said, this is My beloved Son in whom I am well pleased. And the other was on the Mount of Transfiguration where Peter, James, and John had gone up on the mountain with Him and He was transfigured before them. And then God appeared and spoke, "this is My beloved Son, hear Him.” He is living in us. We have the true worship residing within us.
