Shownotes

In this episode, Chris watches a man dig a hole, Marty brushes up on his German, and we see if Fast 9 is becoming its own parody.

Since our last episode Marty has been enjoying Timo Bernhard talking Porsche motorsport history and Matt Farah doing his usual excellent Smoking Tire One Take on the new GT3 with Touring package, and Chris has been catching up with Colin Furze (not late to the party on that one or anything...) digging a big hole, #Vanlife YouTubers like Thomas Heaton, Kara and Nate, A Bus and Beyond, The Singletrack Sampler and The Endless Adventure.

We've also both been shocked and saddened at the flooding and devastation around the Nurburgring in German. Misha Charoudin has been doing great work publicising the relief efforts in the area, and our thoughts and best wishes are with all those affected.

Big News! The Grand Tour presents Lochdown is coming to Amazon Prime July 30th! The BBC have shown a full length documentary about Carlos Ghosn's escape from house arrest in Japan while disguised as a musical instrument, and there's a Max Mosley documentary coming soon too.

For this episode, Marty has ventured to an actual cinema to see an actual new release in Fast 9, while Chris was inspired by this YouTube video on spoof movies to try Superfast. Spoiler alert - it's sh*t.

This week, Henry Catchpole has been previewing the magnificent Aston Martin Valhalla!

In reusing old Victorian railway infrastructure news, Chris's YouTube pick this week is the British company following in Chip Ganassi's foot steps and creating an indoor windtunnel-sort of thing. Marty was actually at the Goodwood Festival of Speed however, so has been catching up on the 2021 Hillclimb Shootout as well as the top 10 hillclimb runs ever at the Festival. Marty also picked the brilliant M539 Restorations as his channel pick.
