Speaker:

the top resources you need to thrive and make your marketing mesmerized.

Speaker:

And now here's your host dimple.

Speaker:

Dang.

Speaker:

Hello there, my mesmerizing marketing tribe today, I'm going

Speaker:

to be talking about how to leverage social audio to grow your business.

Speaker:

I know it's a question that's on everyone's mind lately with so many

Speaker:

different social audio apps out there.

Speaker:

And actually by the end of this year, there's going to

Speaker:

be over 200 social audio apps.

Speaker:

That is crazy.

Speaker:

Right?

Speaker:

So as you can tell, social audio is blowing up.

Speaker:

And I know that a lot of my friends spent a lot of time on social audio.

Speaker:

And so do I.

Speaker:

And in fact, that's how I met a lot of these people is through social audio apps,

Speaker:

like clubhouse and wisdom, And entre.

Speaker:

So what I really want to do is I want to give you guys some tips, because I know a

Speaker:

lot of people are always wondering what.

Speaker:

How do I actually grow my business because I can't just spend hours

Speaker:

on it and not grow my business.

Speaker:

Right.

Speaker:

And I think that's a very valid point because time is valuable.

Speaker:

Time is money, and we really have to be very strategic.

Speaker:

And you have to think of it from a viewpoint of strategy.

Speaker:

What is your marketing strategy for your business?

Speaker:

What is your marketing strategy for your brand and what are you going to implement?

Speaker:

How are you going to show up for the world and how are you going to inspire others?

Speaker:

And also how are we going to inspire others to take action?

Speaker:

and I think those are some of the things that we're going to talk about today.

Speaker:

One of the things that's really important when it comes to social audio.

Speaker:

You have to be very intentional with your time.

Speaker:

that's important because social audio can be very addicting.

Speaker:

And before you know it, you find yourself spending hours and hours on the apps.

Speaker:

I know a lot of you can relate to this back in November of last year in

Speaker:

December, when clubhouse first came about.

Speaker:

I mean, there were people that were literally sleeping two hours a night and

Speaker:

just spending day and night on clubhouse.

Speaker:

And it was just this like rush and this addiction and this

Speaker:

fear of missing out right.

Speaker:

FOMO.

Speaker:

And that was, you know, good, but we can't function that way forever

Speaker:

because that would be very exhausting.

Speaker:

It would be bad for our health and sleep is essential.

Speaker:

You guys.

Speaker:

You know, gotta make sure you get your six to eight hours of sleep.

Speaker:

And so you have to be very intentional with your time.

Speaker:

And what you're going to find on social audio is especially

Speaker:

the bigger that you grow.

Speaker:

A lot of people are going to ask you for your time.

Speaker:

They're going to ask you to moderate rooms with them.

Speaker:

They're going to ask you to come and support them.

Speaker:

When you think about how many people can ask you, it can really fill up

Speaker:

your day with just supporting everyone.

Speaker:

And that's okay to do it sometimes or to do it strategically are with

Speaker:

collaborations or partnerships.

Speaker:

But if you're doing it all the time and you're, you don't have a strategy

Speaker:

behind it, what happens is it's taking time away from everything else that

Speaker:

you could be and should be working.

Speaker:

Because if you're on social audio, think about it.

Speaker:

You can't record a podcast episode.

Speaker:

You can't be a guest on a podcast.

Speaker:

You can't record a YouTube video or do a Instagram live or Facebook live.

Speaker:

And because that's all also audio, it requires you to be.

Speaker:

Right.

Speaker:

So you have to think about these things and you have to think about

Speaker:

being intentional with your time.

Speaker:

And sometimes that means learning how to say no, without saying no,

Speaker:

because people will always ask you and you know, I'm guilty of that myself.

Speaker:

I have a hard time saying.

Speaker:

And I know other people have a hard time saying no, sometimes

Speaker:

doing sometimes we're just trying to like, make everyone happy.

Speaker:

We're trying to help others out.

Speaker:

And I know for me personally, I've always been the kind of person where

Speaker:

I like to support other people.

Speaker:

I like to help other people.

Speaker:

But I think sometimes you have to draw the line because you're not

Speaker:

getting paid to be on the app.

Speaker:

Right.

Speaker:

You're not getting paid to be on the app.

Speaker:

So the time that you're spending on the app, unless you figure out how to leverage

Speaker:

social audio, to grow your business, which is what I'm going to talk about today.

Speaker:

It's really not a good use of your time just to spend hours

Speaker:

and hours on social audio.

Speaker:

But if you can be strategic about it and you can put a game plan in action

Speaker:

and you can have a strategy behind it, then you definitely can maximize.

Speaker:

Social audio apps like clubhouse and wisdom and entre, and

Speaker:

there's going to be so many other apps that come out as well.

Speaker:

but my point is like, you have to be strategic about it.

Speaker:

you might even start by saying, okay, On certain days, this is

Speaker:

how many hours I'm going to limit myself to social audio apps.

Speaker:

And then don't go over that.

Speaker:

recently Instagram just launched a new feature where it tells people,

Speaker:

okay, if you want to take a break from Instagram, you can push a

Speaker:

button and you can take a break.

Speaker:

And it's testing this new feature out as a beta to certain people, but that's

Speaker:

the same thing with social audio.

Speaker:

Sometimes you have to turn off notifications and you

Speaker:

have to just not go on.

Speaker:

Because sometimes even if you're trying to multitask the audio

Speaker:

sound and the background and all of that, it can get distracting.

Speaker:

So if you plan to use it, use it strategically.

Speaker:

And by that, I mean align with the people where you have a partnership

Speaker:

where you have collaborations and a collaboration is a two way street.

Speaker:

That means that you support them and their rooms, and they support you in your.

Speaker:

Collaboration is not a one-way street.

Speaker:

Right.

Speaker:

And, I'm just going to be honest.

Speaker:

I support and I supported a lot of people, but they don't support you by.

Speaker:

And that's called a one-way street.

Speaker:

So you have to be cognizant of that.

Speaker:

And you have to really just be strategic and there's nothing

Speaker:

wrong with supporting people.

Speaker:

I will continue to do it as much as I can but just be strategic about

Speaker:

it, make sure that the rooms that you're going into it aligns with,

Speaker:

your business and what you do.

Speaker:

It's a topic that you're actually interested in, whether you're

Speaker:

gaining knowledge from it or.

Speaker:

Reaching your target audience, like just make sure it aligns with your purpose.

Speaker:

And that's really important to ask yourself, is this en alignment

Speaker:

with my business goals, for 2020.

Speaker:

And if you answer that you get as no, then the answer that you need to learn

Speaker:

to say politely is no, and it's okay to say no, people will actually respect it.

Speaker:

And they will respect that.

Speaker:

You do have other things going on outside of just social

Speaker:

audio that you're working on.

Speaker:

And sometimes it's.

Speaker:

But you have to say, no, you can just say that, my focus has changed or

Speaker:

I've changed my clubhouse strategy and that's a nice way of putting it,

Speaker:

but it's actually really also reality.

Speaker:

That's all it is.

Speaker:

That you have changed your strategy, and everyone needs to think about

Speaker:

having a strategy for everything.

Speaker:

You need to think about a strategy for social audio.

Speaker:

You need to think about a strategy, for how you're gonna use Instagram.

Speaker:

You need to have a strategy for how you're gonna use LinkedIn, and you need

Speaker:

to have a strategy for marketing in terms of, you know, what social media

Speaker:

platforms do you want to utilize?

Speaker:

And which platforms are best for your type of business niche.

Speaker:

And I'll actually link that episode in the show notes for you.

Speaker:

It is episode 25 on how to pick the right social media platform for your

Speaker:

business, because our time is limited and there's so many social media platforms

Speaker:

out there, and there's only one of you.

Speaker:

And even if you have a team and assistance, like

Speaker:

it can be a lot to manage.

Speaker:

It's usually best to pick maybe two of your favorite platforms and

Speaker:

focus on those and build those up before you go and add a third one.

Speaker:

So for example, if Instagram is ideal for you and then you also pick

Speaker:

Pinterest, then you might want to hold off on Facebook for a while, or you

Speaker:

might want to hold off on LinkedIn, or maybe you pick LinkedIn and Instagram.

Speaker:

Well, maybe you want to hold off on Pinterest and Facebook, right?

Speaker:

You have to figure out where your audience is and that's where you're going.

Speaker:

So keep that in mind.

Speaker:

So one of the things that's important when it comes to leveraging social audio

Speaker:

to grow your business is you really have to be good at promoting your.

Speaker:

Meaning your room or your talk, because if you promote it in advance,

Speaker:

then more people will know about it.

Speaker:

More people will show up and they will have it on their calendar.

Speaker:

So I'm going to share a couple of ways that you guys can promote your events

Speaker:

for your social audio rooms on clubhouse, on wisdom, on any other platform that

Speaker:

you want, but especially on clump house.

Speaker:

You can get an event link for your specific event and

Speaker:

you can post that on event.

Speaker:

Bright.

Speaker:

You can get.

Speaker:

An official event on event bright, and you can say tickets are free and then you can

Speaker:

put the link to the clubhouse event and people can sign up and they can come up.

Speaker:

And that's actually an great way to also get new users to the app that

Speaker:

maybe they haven't experienced it.

Speaker:

And they don't know what clubhouse is and then bring them into your

Speaker:

community, bring them into your tribe.

Speaker:

I remember before the pandemic, I used to do a lot of live events and I used

Speaker:

to promote them on Eventbrite and they would always fill up and Eventbrite

Speaker:

was a great way to reach people locally and get them to come to your event.

Speaker:

But even.

Speaker:

It can be beyond locally.

Speaker:

You just get to pick what area you want or where you want your event to show up.

Speaker:

So try event bright, and then the other way that you can promote

Speaker:

your events and re your talks and your rooms is Facebook groups.

Speaker:

So, if you have built up your own community in your own

Speaker:

Facebook group, that's a great way to let your loyal followers.

Speaker:

No, what you're up to and where they can find you, where they can get more of you.

Speaker:

And it doesn't have to be your own group.

Speaker:

If you don't have a group, then, just be cautious of what type of

Speaker:

rules the group administrator has set for that particular group.

Speaker:

But if they allow you to post events and invite people to events, then

Speaker:

you can actually post your rooms and your talks on other people's.

Speaker:

Facebook groups.

Speaker:

And that's a great way to let people know that, Hey, you're having this

Speaker:

talk on this topic and they can attend.

Speaker:

And then the other thing on Facebook you can do is you can create a Facebook event

Speaker:

and then it allows you to notify all of your followers to invite them to that.

Speaker:

So that's a great way to leverage Facebook for some of the

Speaker:

features that I think are useful.

Speaker:

With Facebook, usage has gone down overall and some of the new features,

Speaker:

haven't really panned out, but I will tell you that there's still a lot of

Speaker:

audience there and there are still a lot of people that are using Facebook.

Speaker:

Really are not spending that much time on Instagram or maybe they're

Speaker:

just, you know, deciding to use both.

Speaker:

So definitely leverage Facebook events.

Speaker:

And then the other platform that's good to promote your event is LinkedIn.

Speaker:

I think LinkedIn is a great place, especially if your rooms and your

Speaker:

talks are more business related and they are about topics that are

Speaker:

relevant to specific industries.

Speaker:

Like if you're going to have a talk that's catered toward the legal industry,

Speaker:

you can post that event on LinkedIn.

Speaker:

And you can also post your event again.

Speaker:

And LinkedIn groups, LinkedIn has groups of its own, but I highly recommend that

Speaker:

you set up your own group on LinkedIn and set up your own community because

Speaker:

when it's your community, you can really promote whatever you want and you can.

Speaker:

Do that with freedom where you don't have to wonder, well, is this

Speaker:

okay with the group administrator?

Speaker:

Is this against their terms or their rules of their group or not?

Speaker:

So, set up your own group and create that community.

Speaker:

You can even funnel people from social audio, like clubhouse

Speaker:

directly to your LinkedIn group.

Speaker:

Cause now on clubhouse you're able to pin a link to the top of the.

Speaker:

So you can leverage the power of that.

Speaker:

Pending a link to put a link to anything that you want and doing your, talk.

Speaker:

You can change that link and you can promote different things.

Speaker:

You can, show examples.

Speaker:

You can do a lot with it.

Speaker:

Think of it almost like.

Speaker:

Presentation in a way that you can now literally present if you want, you

Speaker:

just have to be strategic about it.

Speaker:

So the other way that you can promote your rooms and your

Speaker:

talks is on Instagram stories.

Speaker:

And recently Instagram stories launched the new link feature, which I'm so

Speaker:

excited about because previously you had to have 10,000 followers.

Speaker:

To be able to put a link in your stories.

Speaker:

And about a week ago they released a new feature and now

Speaker:

it's going to be for everyone.

Speaker:

They're going to be able to post links in their Instagram stories.

Speaker:

So you can add a link to your room.

Speaker:

You can even tag up to like 10 moderators and you can ask them to share it.

Speaker:

Our.

Speaker:

Our only having a room with two moderators, you can tag the

Speaker:

other moderator and then you can tag eight guests that you think

Speaker:

that they would enjoy the room.

Speaker:

And you can say, Hey, we're having this room, join us.

Speaker:

You know, you might enjoy this topic.

Speaker:

And then what happens in.

Speaker:

A lot of those people, if they're loyal fans and followers of yours,

Speaker:

they're likely to share that as well on Instagram and it gets more reach.

Speaker:

Right.

Speaker:

And, and you want to do that at least a day before, but ideally for setting up

Speaker:

events in advance, I mean, you can start promoting your room, even a week out.

Speaker:

I think that's really great.

Speaker:

You can promote it a week out.

Speaker:

So I also wanted to drop a resource for you guys.

Speaker:

So if you're not quite, familiar with how to use all the features of

Speaker:

Instagram, maybe you're a newbie.

Speaker:

You guys can go download episode 28.

Speaker:

Where I talk about the latest Instagram features, I talk about

Speaker:

link stickers and stories, reels, lyrics, collabs in desktop feature.

Speaker:

And in that I walk you through the exact process of how to find the link

Speaker:

and set up the link and how to use the link in your Instagram stories.

Speaker:

So definitely download episode 28.

Speaker:

Okay, so now let's talk about.

Speaker:

In your rooms, like how much value do you give away?

Speaker:

Right.

Speaker:

, but think about when you're having a room, obviously your audience's there for value.

Speaker:

You want to give a lot of value.

Speaker:

You want to give a lot of tips and actionable advice and practical tips that

Speaker:

people can go out and make an implement.

Speaker:

And they can use those tips because social audio is only great.

Speaker:

If you consume the information and you go and implement it, if you're just

Speaker:

going to be a spectator and you're just listening, that's not going to

Speaker:

help you grow your brand and business.

Speaker:

You have to go out there and you have to implement everything that you learned.

Speaker:

And you have to set aside time on your calendar to do that.

Speaker:

And that means having discipline and turning the app off for

Speaker:

a few hours to focus on.

Speaker:

Creation to focus on creating content, to focus on updating your website, to focus

Speaker:

on, creating posts for your LinkedIn and for your Twitter and for your Instagram.

Speaker:

And to focus on reaching out to people.

Speaker:

One-on-one making those connections, jumping on a zoom call with them,

Speaker:

and you can only do that if you are very focused and you have

Speaker:

discipline and you're intentional.

Speaker:

So keep that in mind and then in your room.

Speaker:

Provide value, but don't give away the Bentley.

Speaker:

I'm going to say this again.

Speaker:

So in your rooms for vide value, but don't give away the Bentley,

Speaker:

because if you give away the Bentley.

Speaker:

What are they going to hire you for and pay you for, right.

Speaker:

There's they're getting everything for free.

Speaker:

Why would they need to hire you if they, if they got everything that they needed,

Speaker:

and I'm not saying don't provide value, provide lots of value, but then still

Speaker:

leave certain things that are only for VIP's that are only for people that

Speaker:

are part of your membership community are, you're doing a VIP day with them.

Speaker:

Are you on.

Speaker:

Bringing them into like some type of paid platform or discord community.

Speaker:

So keep that in mind.

Speaker:

And then the other thing I want to talk about.

Speaker:

In order to maximize and leverage social audio to grow your business,

Speaker:

you have to also create an offer.

Speaker:

So now I think is the perfect time to create an offer, especially for

Speaker:

clubhouse, because you have a link at the top that you can pin, and

Speaker:

it's a great way to do that, but

Speaker:

you can even have offers for wisdom and other social audio apps,

Speaker:

because you do get a link and you can direct people in your talk to

Speaker:

go to your Instagram or wherever you have information you can give.

Speaker:

You can create like a URL.

Speaker:

That's very easy to remember with like a.club and you can talk about it and

Speaker:

you can just direct people to go there.

Speaker:

And it's really about just making.

Speaker:

A clear offer.

Speaker:

So I want to go through what some of the offers are that you can create for social

Speaker:

audio to grow your business and brand.

Speaker:

One of the things that you can work on that works really well.

Speaker:

Is creating what's called a lead magnet.

Speaker:

So lead magnet is essentially a free PDF download.

Speaker:

It can also be paid, but you know, most of the time people create free

Speaker:

PDF downloads where you're giving value, that's relevant to your niche.

Speaker:

For example, you could have a PDF on 10 ways to launch your

Speaker:

first podcast in 30 days, right?

Speaker:

Or you can have a PDF on, 10 social media platforms.

Speaker:

Are you going to have a PDF on 10 social media apps that you should use

Speaker:

to be more efficient and productive?

Speaker:

So those are just some ideas.

Speaker:

The idea behind a free PDF download is that the audience is going to

Speaker:

have to provide their email address in exchange for this free download.

Speaker:

And this is how you build your email list and you want to be building your

Speaker:

email list because that's how you're going to convert people into your tribe.

Speaker:

That's how you're going to let them know when you have a new launch coming up.

Speaker:

That's how you're going to let them know when you launch

Speaker:

your podcast to support you.

Speaker:

So you must.

Speaker:

Built your email list and you have to start doing that because what if

Speaker:

right social audio changes or the algorithms keep changing and you're

Speaker:

just not able to reach as many people.

Speaker:

So while you're still able to reach people while things are good.

Speaker:

Go ahead and, set up these things that we're talking about today.

Speaker:

So set up a free PDF, download, set up more than one if you want.

Speaker:

A little bit later on this episode, I'm going to give you guys an

Speaker:

easy way to set these things up.

Speaker:

So just stay tuned.

Speaker:

I'm going to keep going through some more offers that you can create though.

Speaker:

So another offer you can create is a masterclass and the masterclass

Speaker:

can be free or it can be paid that's completely up to you.

Speaker:

If you do a free masterclass, you're going to be able to get

Speaker:

a lot more people to sign up.

Speaker:

But in terms of are the majority of them going to show up, they may

Speaker:

not show up because they actually didn't pay anything for it.

Speaker:

And they don't have.

Speaker:

A reason to show up when someone pays for something, even if it's like a

Speaker:

dollar, you will find that they are more likely to actually show up.

Speaker:

So that's up to, you can keep that in mind.

Speaker:

And also, you know, you can determine if your masterclass is going to be used.

Speaker:

And you're going to , give it to them for free to sell them into something

Speaker:

else are, if you're going to have a paid masterclass where you're going

Speaker:

to charge to teach them something.

Speaker:

So for example, this Saturday I have a one day launch your podcast, MasterCard.

Speaker:

And it's like a five to six hour live class via zoom, where I go

Speaker:

through the entire process of how to launch your podcast from a to Z.

Speaker:

, and that's something that is, paid because that's very, very

Speaker:

detailed information and there's a tremendous amount of value there.

Speaker:

Right?

Speaker:

So that's something that you can charge for is your value that you're providing.

Speaker:

And concepts that you're teaching.

Speaker:

And if you're doing that on a very detailed level,

Speaker:

you should charge for that.

Speaker:

You should not give it, give it all for free.

Speaker:

Okay.

Speaker:

So the next thing can charge for as a consultation, you

Speaker:

can charge for your time.

Speaker:

You have to keep that in mind.

Speaker:

And a lot of times you will give people a free consultation, but

Speaker:

you haven't pre-qualified them.

Speaker:

What if they don't even have a budget to invest?

Speaker:

Is that a good use of your time?

Speaker:

Probably not.

Speaker:

What if they book a time with you, but then they cancel

Speaker:

on you two or three times.

Speaker:

Is that a good use of your time?

Speaker:

Probably not.

Speaker:

So when you want to have a consultation, you can have a free consultation,

Speaker:

but that should be like 15 to 20.

Speaker:

And then if someone wants like an hour of your time, you should charge

Speaker:

them for that hour of your time.

Speaker:

Because during that hour of your time, they're going to ask questions.

Speaker:

You're going to give information.

Speaker:

And that information is going to be full of valuable tips and valuable resources.

Speaker:

And, and that's something that you have to charge for, because if you're

Speaker:

just giving everything away for free.

Speaker:

You're not going to be able to grow your business.

Speaker:

And , today we're talking about how to grow your business and

Speaker:

don't give everything away for free.

Speaker:

You can give certain things for free, but not.

Speaker:

So the next thing I want to talk about is a discord community.

Speaker:

, discord is really a great platform and you can do a lot with it.

Speaker:

And one, a lot of people are doing as you can charge a small fee to add

Speaker:

people to your discord community.

Speaker:

And then in that community, you're giving.

Speaker:

Content that you wouldn't be sharing on social audio, right?

Speaker:

Or you won't be sharing on Instagram.

Speaker:

You will be sharing on Facebook.

Speaker:

It's more detailed information.

Speaker:

It's more, practical tips that you can implement.

Speaker:

So you can put people in a discord community and you can charge them,

Speaker:

a fee to be in that community.

Speaker:

And that's like almost like a mini mastermind.

Speaker:

The other way you could use a Dysport community is you

Speaker:

can make it a free community.

Speaker:

And then, within that community, you can sell people into different masterclasses

Speaker:

or different programs that you have, or even a long coaching program.

Speaker:

So just, , start thinking about what format you want to utilize

Speaker:

and how you want to position it.

Speaker:

It's all about the positioning you guys.

Speaker:

The next thing we're going to talk about is a membership site.

Speaker:

A membership site is great.

Speaker:

To package up your information and you can sell people into this membership

Speaker:

platform and how it works is that the information, whether it's videos,

Speaker:

it's audio files, it's downloads.

Speaker:

The information is going to be gated behind a website where the person who

Speaker:

wants access to this information has to.

Speaker:

Sign up for their email address and they have to register.

Speaker:

And if it is a paid membership site, they may have to pay a fee

Speaker:

to be part of that membership site.

Speaker:

And that's up to you.

Speaker:

It could be a one-time fee are, it can be a monthly fee.

Speaker:

If you're going to consistently add more value to this membership site,

Speaker:

and you're going to add more content so you can charge them a monthly

Speaker:

fee of $7 a month, 27 a month, 97.

Speaker:

2 97 a month.

Speaker:

It just depends.

Speaker:

It depends on what you're offering and what is included,

Speaker:

what value are they getting?

Speaker:

But a membership site is great way to funnel people from

Speaker:

clubhouse into your own community.

Speaker:

so now you're probably wondering, well, temple.

Speaker:

That's great.

Speaker:

I love all of those ideas, but how do I get started?

Speaker:

How do I implement these ideas?

Speaker:

So one of the platforms that I use is called associate tap.

Speaker:

So if you go to my Instagram, I'm going to link it in the show notes.

Speaker:

And the handle is she wear stilettos.

Speaker:

If you go to my Instagram, you will see my socio tap and associate tap is basically.

Speaker:

My landing page that has all of my links on it.

Speaker:

So it's like a mini website.

Speaker:

And the thing I love about it is it allows me to set up paid programs in

Speaker:

like five minutes and allows me to get people added to my email list.

Speaker:

Like within a minute or two, it allows me to just set up all of these.

Speaker:

Distinct ways of, growing my email list of, getting people to buy

Speaker:

something or pay something, getting people to, you know, join my Facebook

Speaker:

community, whatever it happens to be.

Speaker:

With that, I'm going to put the link in the show notes.

Speaker:

And if you use my link, you won't actually get a discount off of your monthly fee.

Speaker:

So definitely check that out.

Speaker:

And it's super, super cost-effective you guys, you're not going to believe so when

Speaker:

you go look at it, you'll be like, oh my God, I get all of this for only this.

Speaker:

Absolutely do so.

Speaker:

Definitely check that out.

Speaker:

You can see how I've set my knob.

Speaker:

You can model, you know, like the idea of, okay.

Speaker:

I can even put links to my clubhouse.

Speaker:

Clubs, I can put, links to my main websites.

Speaker:

I can put links to.

Speaker:

A free PDF download.

Speaker:

I have, cause I have a free resources list on there.

Speaker:

So I even have that and I have masterclass on there.

Speaker:

People can sign up, they can pay all through there.

Speaker:

They can download my PDF on live streaming and podcasting resources.

Speaker:

I can have people sign up for future challenges and things

Speaker:

I'm going to be hosting.

Speaker:

So I absolutely love using it to go check it out.

Speaker:

All right.

Speaker:

The next thing I'm going to talk about is.

Speaker:

Growing your email list and funneling people into your own community.

Speaker:

We kind of touched on this a little bit, but I want to dig a little bit

Speaker:

deeper on what are some platforms you can use to grow your email list and

Speaker:

funnel people into your own community.

Speaker:

So, one of the things that works really well still to this day is Facebook groups.

Speaker:

You can use Facebook groups to funnel people into a group in community.

Speaker:

And when you set up a group.

Speaker:

you can make it mandatory where they do have to provide their email address and

Speaker:

they have to answer one or two questions.

Speaker:

And this way, if they're a good fit, if you want to add them to the group or if

Speaker:

you don't want to add them to the group and also definitely check out LinkedIn

Speaker:

groups, LinkedIn groups are huge.

Speaker:

And if people are in a LinkedIn group and they have their notifications

Speaker:

turned on, what's going to happen is they're going to get notified every

Speaker:

time you post something to that group.

Speaker:

And that's like, great, because you know, they're going to get, sometimes

Speaker:

they'll, they'll even get like an email message and that's like the power of

Speaker:

being able to reach your community.

Speaker:

So the other one, which I touched about a little bit, yeah.

Speaker:

A discord community.

Speaker:

You can create that you're going to get their email address.

Speaker:

You're going to put them in the community.

Speaker:

So now you've added them to your email list and then you can do

Speaker:

whatever with that community.

Speaker:

Just like I mentioned, you know, a few minutes ago about what to do with the

Speaker:

discord community you can charge, or you can have, a fee, you can have a free.

Speaker:

And then another platform that you can utilize to build your own community

Speaker:

is as a slack channel, you can use slack to add people to, and you can

Speaker:

communicate with them and it can even be a back channel for your Mon squad.

Speaker:

You can have different slack channels as well, that are.

Speaker:

Divided into different lake groups in different topics, right?

Speaker:

You can test that one out as well.

Speaker:

And then another way to grow your email list and funnel people into your own

Speaker:

community is text message marketing.

Speaker:

So text message marketing is huge lately because a lot of

Speaker:

people don't read emails anymore.

Speaker:

Some people do, but I'm saying some people prefer.

Speaker:

Text messaging.

Speaker:

And some people don't like text messaging and they prefer emails.

Speaker:

So it really depends on the person.

Speaker:

But I think for a lot of the younger generation, they're on their phones,

Speaker:

twenty four seven, they're surfing through, Instagram feed and they're

Speaker:

on, Facebook they're on tick-tock, they're always connected to their phone.

Speaker:

Right.

Speaker:

And if they're connected to their phone and a text comes in, whether they

Speaker:

open it up or not, they're probably going to see it in the previous.

Speaker:

And that's a great way to make announcements about your upcoming

Speaker:

brooms, about any upcoming events that you have, even if you're going

Speaker:

to be going to a particular city, you can say, Hey, you know, I'm

Speaker:

going to be in Los Angeles next week.

Speaker:

Who's in LA, let's meet up.

Speaker:

I'm going to have an organized dinner to meet up with, with

Speaker:

people from the community.

Speaker:

So those are some amazing ways that you can grow your email list and

Speaker:

funnel people into your own community.

Speaker:
