In this podcast Yemi and I discuss, how a demon-oppressed man who was blind and mute was brought to Jesus, and he healed him, so that the man spoke and saw. (Matthew 12:22-37). The Old Testament highlights the healing of the lame, the blind, and the mute as signs by which to recognize the promised Messiah: “Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf unstopped; then shall the lame man leap like a deer, and the tongue of the mute sing for joy. For waters break forth in the wilderness, and streams in the desert” (Isaiah 35:5–6) The good person out of his good treasure brings forth good, and the evil person out of his evil treasure brings forth evil. I tell you, on the day of judgment people will give account for every careless word they speak, for by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.””
