Tali:

Hey, everybody.

Tali:

Today you're listening to part two of my conversation with Manvir...

Tali:

Can you talk a little bit about your experience in Miami since you

Tali:

were, you felt guided to go there?

Manvir:

Yeah.

Manvir:

Yeah.

Manvir:

It's so funny.

Manvir:

I was like, okay, God, I need a hotel room.

Manvir:

I'm on a budget.

Manvir:

The tickets are really expensive.

Manvir:

I think, you know, the person like, I'm like, okay, I think like,

Manvir:

so you know how there's like the tickets, it's like general admission.

Manvir:

And then there's what is that called?

Manvir:

Then there was like, there's an like...

Tali:

There's an industry pass.

Tali:

And then there's a whale pass.

Manvir:

And then there's the whale pass, right?

Manvir:

I was like, well, God, you know, I'm like, I'm feeling the whale pass.

Manvir:

But it's 11,000 dollars.

Manvir:

And I'm like, you know, I trust You.

Manvir:

And, I think You need to make this happen really easily.

Manvir:

Right.

Manvir:

And so I'm sitting there and I've never gone to the Bitcoin, Miami conference.

Manvir:

I don't know anybody who's attending.

Manvir:

Right.

Manvir:

And, uh, so I got online one day, and I was like, okay, God, if You're guiding

Manvir:

me, like, you know, what should I do?

Manvir:

And I got on Craigslist from Miami.

Manvir:

I'm like, maybe somebody is selling their passes really cheap.

Manvir:

And there was somebody who was selling a whale ticket, for such

Manvir:

a low, low, low amount that I was like, this has to be a scam.

Manvir:

There's no way, but I was, but I'm like, okay, but I will reach out.

Manvir:

I got connected to this guy and I don't, for whatever, like he left

Manvir:

me, like, he was like, okay, I can transfer the ticket to this thing.

Manvir:

And then you just put the money in there.

Manvir:

Right.

Manvir:

And I was like, okay, I don't even know how this, technology works

Manvir:

of where you transfer a ticket.

Manvir:

And is this ticket thing a scam and like, right?

Manvir:

And so I was like, here's my number.

Manvir:

Just call me.

Manvir:

Can we talk for a second?

Manvir:

And the guy left, you know, he left me a message and he was like, listen,

Manvir:

I've got so many offers who have people who want to, you know, buy my ticket

Manvir:

for way more than I had listed it for.

Manvir:

And I'm, and he said that, you know, he's in a wheelchair.

Manvir:

So like, you know, he's not looking to get scammed.

Manvir:

And I was like, okay, let me call him.

Manvir:

Right.

Manvir:

I was like, the dude is saying he's in a wheelchair.

Manvir:

He wants to sell this ticket.

Manvir:

It's like way below any price you could ever imagine.

Manvir:

And so I call him up and I was on the phone for like an hour.

Manvir:

I'm like, hey, listen, I got this vision.

Manvir:

I think I'm supposed to go to Miami.

Manvir:

I think I need a whale pass and all the things.

Manvir:

He was like, okay, I will sell it to you.

Manvir:

And I was like, yeah...

Manvir:

And he had been to Miami several times and to the Bitcoin conference,

Manvir:

and I was like, I don't even know about getting a hotel room.

Manvir:

And he was like, you know, basically had, like, he had, like, millions of, like,

Manvir:

you know, mileage points or whatever.

Manvir:

He's like, okay, I'll get you the hotel room.

Manvir:

You know, you can just pay me cash.

Manvir:

And the hotel room was like a fraction of the price and, like, really close.

Manvir:

And but like, he was like, just pay me everything when you see me.

Manvir:

And so I'm like, okay, God, I'm just flying blindly to Miami.

Manvir:

To meet somebody I don't know, who might be, who's in a

Manvir:

wheelchair, who's, who's like...

Manvir:

okay, hopefully I have a hotel room when I get there and a ticket,

Manvir:

but like, I'm just going to follow and, um, yeah, and it worked out.

Manvir:

So I got to, uh, Miami, to the conference, and so blessed to be able to go to the

Manvir:

Thank God for Bitcoin conference because.

Manvir:

You know, Bitcoin really is a technology that is revolutionizing...

Manvir:

well, it is changing everything that we thought about money and what's possible.

Manvir:

And it's bringing integrity to the financial system and transparency.

Manvir:

It was such a blessing to go to the Thank God for Bitcoin conference.

Manvir:

Uh, people that have faith, and who, who really want to see, want to see a

Manvir:

financial system that has transparency, that has trust, that is just good

Manvir:

for humanity and for our planet.

Manvir:

You know, obviously I had an opportunity to meet you there, Tali.

Manvir:

And I got to, got to meet some other extraordinary people there.

Manvir:

And so while I was there, you know, there was this gentleman who was

Manvir:

like this big VC and so forth.

Manvir:

Right.

Manvir:

And he also happened to be in a wheelchair.

Manvir:

Right.

Manvir:

And okay, what are the chances of meeting, like, another person in a wheelchair?

Manvir:

I was like, you know, and so I was like, maybe he's the

Manvir:

person I'm supposed to talk to.

Manvir:

So I had a meeting set up with him, like, basically the last day

Manvir:

of the actual Bitcoin conference.

Manvir:

And I was like, this is in the bag.

Manvir:

Like, you know, of course, like, boom, boom, this person, that person.

Manvir:

Yeah.

Manvir:

Okay, God.

Manvir:

Like, doing the thing.

Manvir:

Going to talk to this guy, meet with him, and it'll like, all just like come

Manvir:

together in a pretty bow and I'm good.

Manvir:

So I sit down on that Saturday.

Manvir:

It's the last day of the event.

Manvir:

And I, and I meet with him, and I'd, like, kind of try and put my idea together.

Manvir:

And he's just like, he looks at me and he's like, yeah, that's really beautiful.

Manvir:

And like, yeah, I don't know how to help you.

Manvir:

I'm not, I'm not your person.

Manvir:

I was just like devastated.

Manvir:

I'm like, what, how can this be?

Manvir:

Right?

Manvir:

I'm like, okay, I'm not going to go into a bathroom and cry at

Manvir:

this moment, but I'm just gonna...

Manvir:

but I might go into a bathroom and cry at the Bitcoin conference, like...

Manvir:

Okay, I came all the way out here, you know, I'm trusting, like, okay, fine.

Manvir:

Pulled myself together, walked over to another table, and there was this

Manvir:

guy, there was these two guys that I'd met before, but one in particular

Manvir:

that I'd met a couple days prior.

Manvir:

And I walked up to him and I was just like, dude, I had a, I had

Manvir:

a meeting, it totally sucked.

Manvir:

And he was like, oh, what was it about?

Manvir:

And meanwhile, he's like this American guy, but from El Salvador, originally,

Manvir:

I think his family was from El Salvador.

Manvir:

And so I was like, okay, you won't believe this.

Manvir:

I had this vision.

Manvir:

I think I'm supposed to go to Bitcoin conference.

Manvir:

Like, all these things came together.

Manvir:

I go, I'm having these visions about these prisoners and I go, basically nobody...

Manvir:

I go, from what I've discovered so far, also, is that nobody's

Manvir:

even allowed in the prisons.

Manvir:

Right.

Manvir:

And I thought I could even connect to Max and Stacy.

Manvir:

Like, there'd be like, you know, of course, we'll, like, hook

Manvir:

you up with everybody you'd need to, like, talk to, right?

Manvir:

And, you know, I go, that didn't happen.

Manvir:

And so here's this random guy that I'm just, like, talking to

Manvir:

and basically complaining to.

Manvir:

And he's like, here's my contact number.

Manvir:

He's like, you know, I'm from El Salvador.

Manvir:

And he's like, he goes, my dad was telling me that, you know, "your

Manvir:

uncle is the head of the Ministry of Defense for the country."

Manvir:

And he's like, he's like, okay, so I think we could probably get a meeting with

Manvir:

all the right people, if you wanted to.

Manvir:

And he was like, and him personally, he was like, and you

Manvir:

know, I'm into prison reform.

Manvir:

And so yeah, so that's my, like, God and Bitcoin adventure.

Tali:

What an incredible story.

Tali:

Oh my goodness.

Tali:

The dots that were connected and...

Tali:

to make the path lit, but not exactly every step that you expect.

Tali:

So you kind of experienced a little bit of, wait a second...

Tali:

you know, sometimes you question in order to get a stronger

Tali:

conviction down the road, I think.

Tali:

So I'm glad you didn't go into the bathroom and cry, but I totally

Tali:

understand moments like that.

Tali:

So what's happened since then?

Tali:

I mean, that was a couple months ago.

Tali:

So, any developments?

Manvir:

So okay, so that was, yeah, like a month and a half ago.

Manvir:

So I contacted the guy that actually introduced the two of us together.

Manvir:

Right, Mark, and he...

Manvir:

yeah, so I spoke to Mark, and he was like, okay, well, figure out what you need.

Manvir:

And let's talk.

Manvir:

And I mean, come on, like, I'm like, okay, I don't even know

Manvir:

what I need at this moment.

Manvir:

Like, do I put together a business plan, a pitch deck, right?

Manvir:

Right?

Manvir:

I've never done any ministry work.

Manvir:

How does, you know, where do we go from here?

Manvir:

And that's when you said, okay, well, let's, let's just have a conversation.

Manvir:

And so I thought, okay, well, we'll, we'll go from there.

Tali:

Yeah, you never know who's listening, and what kind of connections

Tali:

they have, just like your conversation...

Tali:

last day with the last person.

Tali:

I think the path will be lit for you as you continue to put

Tali:

one foot in front of the other.

Tali:

That's the way it usually works, anyway.

Manvir:

Yeah.

Manvir:

And, but, but actually, so like, let me get back to also the Bitcoin story, right?

Manvir:

And so Bitcoin is...

Manvir:

for whoever's listening, do research, learn about this.

Manvir:

It's important and, you know, you wanna, you wanna have

Manvir:

freedom and self sovereignty.

Manvir:

And, you know, as you work, you want to be able to save your money.

Manvir:

And I think that this is a tool that can be used.

Tali:

Thank you for joining us today.

Tali:

We will continue this conversation tomorrow.

Tali:

Be sure to come back and hear the rest.
