Fort Wayne FC welcomed Charlotte Independence to their Debut at "The Ru," otherwise known as Ruoff Mortgage Stadium. The match has been circled for months by fans in Fort Wayne, and though the stadium is not yet complete, the game was played. For some, it lived up to the hype. For others, the unfinished state of the venue was enough to curb their enthusiasm. But in the end, everyone appreciated the fact that professional soccer is back in Fort Wayne, IN.

In this episode we will talk to local athlete, Emerson Nieto, whose contract was announced just hours before kickoff, and who made his professional debut in the second half.

And now that we get to watch our team play in their home stadium, five times this month, before the official grand opening on July 4, we will talk about what this means for the city and for fans in the region.
