Shownotes
The BHAG, which stands for “Big Hairy Audacious Goal,” is supposed to inspire and engage your team, but are you having trouble coming up with something that truly hits to the core of what you do?
A powerful BHAG doesn’t have to be something you already know how to do, or how to get to, but something that forces the team to aspire to get to, through innovation and creative problem-solving. As the Founder or CEO, you don’t need to have all the answers ready when coming up with the BHAG.
A BHAG is not a linear projection, where the road comes easily paved. It’s a statement that transforms the way the organization thinks and cultivates your team to think outside the box. When it comes to finding your BHAG, pick something that connects with your company purpose but is also scary enough to make it challenging to achieve.
