Episode #115 : Warned In A Dream

In this episode from December 29, 2022, Fr. Tom DiLorenzo is joined by fellow evangelist, Anthony Correnti. They read from and comment upon the second chapter of the gospel of Matthew. Following a star, wise men from the east come to see the newly born King of the Jews. They inquire of Herod where the new king is to be born. Herod's sends them to Bethlehem to find this new born king. Herod's plan is to kills him. The wise men find the child and his mother in their house. They worship him and offer gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh. Warned in a dream they avoid Herod and return by another way. Herod in a rage orders that all the male children 2 years old and younger in Bethlehem and the surrounding area be killed. But before the soldiers arrive an angel warns Joseph in dream to flee to Egypt with the child and his mother. Joseph obeys the angel and flees to Egypt, returning only after Herod dies.
