I spent most of my adult life

cultivating my party girl ways.

I blindly bought right into mummy

drinking culture and I never

could find that stop button.

It was fun, you see, until it wasn't.

And Google was fed up of

answering, do I drink too much?

Yes, Victoria, you do.

So I stopped, January 15th, 2022, when

after a boozy Christmas and a final

terrible hangover, I realized that

perhaps I was worth more than that.

I hung up my party girl shoes and I said

goodbye to the girl who was last in bed

and served shampoos at her kids parties.

I dug deep because drinking was

such a big part of my identity,

and it seemed enormous to stop.

And also, everyone drinks, don't they?

Turns out they don't.
