Your preparation and daily communion with the Lord is basic to anyone's
walk with the Lord. Questions such as “What does it mean to wait on the
Lord,” or How should I read the scriptures,” should be of uppermost concern
for those who truly want a deep relationship with the Lord. Spending time in
the Word, waiting on Him and your daily worship is the foundation of your
relationship with the Lord, and the foundation of your relationship to those
who you relate to in the Body of Christ. Without this preparation of your
spirit, you are missing what the Lord would speak and impart to you in
everyday life. When you assemble with the family of God it is all about
active participation not passive observation.
• Your time before the Lord in Worship, waiting on Him, reading His
Word is all a time of preparing yourself for your daily walk with Him.
• Functioning as a man or woman of God requires an anointing from Him
and that comes from time spent with Him.
• Preparing yourself to speak and hear a Word from God is a way of life.
• Walking with God is not a spectator sport!
• The point is He wants to have a relationship with you, and you can't
have that unless you are doing something in the relationship.
• Start each day with a meeting with the Lord.
31 Yet those who wait for the L ORD Will gain new strength; They will mount up with wings like eagles, They will run and not get tired, They will run and not get tired, They will walk and not become They will walk and not become weary.
14 Wait for the L ORD Be strong and let your heart take courage; Yes, wait for the L ORD.
Psalms. 37: 34

7 Therefore be patient, brothers and sisters , until the coming of the Lord. The
farmer waits for the precious produce of the soil, being patient ab out it, until
it gets the early and late rains.
5 For we, through the Spirit, by faith, are waiting for the hope of righteousness.
31 And when they had prayed, the place where they had gathered together
was shaken, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak.
19 Behold, I am going to do something new, Now it will spring up; Will you not be aware of it? I will even make a roadway in the wilderness, Rivers in the desert.
24 leave your offering there before the altar and go; first be reconciled to your brother, and then come and present your offering. the word of God with boldness.
5 But He was pierced for our offenses, He was crushed for our wrongdoings;
The punishment for our well being was laid upon Him, And by His wounds we are healed.
15 The one who has ears to hear, let him hear. The one who has ears to hear, let him hear.
Luke 18: 10-14

11 The Pharisee stood this in regard to himself: ‘God, I thank You that I am
not like other people: swindlers, crooked, adulterers, or even like this tax
12 I fast twice a week; I pay tithes of all that I get.’
13 But the tax collector, standing some distance away, was even unwilling to
raise his eyes toward heaven, but was beating his chest, saying, ‘God, be

14 I tell you, this man went to his house justified rather than the other one;
for everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, but the one who humbles
himself will be exalted.”
16 Three times a year all your males shall appear be fore the Lord your God
at the place which He chooses: at the Feast of Unleavened Bread, at the Feast
of Weeks, and at the Feast of Booths; and they are not to appear before the
Lord empty handed.
14 “Three times a year you shall celebrate a feast to Me.
15 You shall keep the Feast of Unleavened Bread; for seven days you are to
eat unleavened bread, as I commanded you, at the appointed time in the
month of Abib, for in that month you came out of Egypt. And no one is to
appear before Me empty handed.
16 Also you shall keep the Feast of the Harvest of the first fruits of your
labors from what you sow in the field; also the Feast of the In gathering at the
end of the year when you gather in the fruit of your l labors from the field.
17 Three times a year all your males shall appear before the Lord GOD.
12 So then, my beloved, just as you have always obeyed, not as in my
presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own
salvation with fear and trembling;
4 But you who clung to the L ORD your God are alive today, every one of you.
5 “See, I have taught you statutes and judgments just as the L ORD my God
commanded me, that you are to do these things in the land where you are
entering to take possession of it.
6 So keep and do them for that is your wisdom and your understanding in the
sight of the peoples who will hear all these statutes and say, ‘Surely this great
nation is a wise and understanding people.’
7 F or what great nation is there that has a god so near to it as is the L ORD our
God whenever we call on Him?
27 And he answered, “ Y OU SHALL LOVE THE L ORD YOUR G OD WITH ALL
YOUR HEART AND WITH ALL YOUR SOUL AND WITH ALL YOUR STRENGTH
AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND AND YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF.
37 And He said to him, “‘ Y OU SHALL LOVE THE L ORD YOUR G OD WITH ALL

38 This is the great and foremost commandment.
39 The second is like it, ‘ Y OU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF
40 Upon these two commandments hang the whole Law and the Prophets.”

There is no other commandment greater than these.”
32 And the scribe said to Him, “Well said , Teacher; You have truly stated
that HE IS ONE AND THERE IS NO OTHER BESIDES HIM.
33 and to love Him with all the heart, and with all the understanding, and
with all the strength, and to love one’s neighbor as oneself, is much more
than all the burnt offerings and sacrifices.”
6 Jesus *said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes
to the Father except through Me.
18 For this reason therefore the Jews were seeking all the more to kill Him,
because He not only was breaking the Sabbath, but also was calling God His
own Father, making Himself equal with God.
19 Therefore Jesus answered and was saying to them, “Truly, truly, I say to
you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, unless it is something He sees the
Father doing; for whatever the Father does, these things the Son also does in
the same way.
You just can not rush into a walk with God.
It is about preparation not observation.
He wants a relationship with you, and you cannot have that if you are not
doing something in the relationship.

Start your experience with God at home and bring Him with you. It is a
conscious action, spending time with the Lord talking to Him, being with
Him. It starts from the desire of your heart to be filled. Spend the time, get
filled, know that you a r e filled, know that you are ready.
