Whenever I am afraid, I will trust in You. 4 In God (I will praise His word), In God I have put my trust; I will not fear. What can flesh do to me?
David. Psalm 56:3–4. Hi, it’s Nathan, and this is Day 26 of 30 Days of Pushing Back Fear. ‘Whenever I am afraid.’ So, wait, fear is a real thing—even for people who believe in God? Yep. The difference is, it doesn’t have the last word. It’s real. It’s felt. But it doesn’t win. God-admirers make a choice in the face of fear: they put themselves in God’s hands. They trust him. They believe he has their best interest in mind. They find comfort and assurance in that. They walk forward—or stand still—in that. And not only do they find peace in the place of fear—but they find perspective too—with a God so big to trust, what is there to be afraid of, anyway?
