For heartbreak, and for pain that has been sat there a while. A neglected garden, and a watering can with your name on it.
About 12 minutes with Steven Webb's calm voice.
You go through an iron gate into a garden that has gone to seed. Each wilted plant is one of the feelings. A lost love here, regret there, loneliness in the corner. You water them rather than pull them up. It does not pretend heartbreak takes weeks, because it can take years. But a heart blown wide open ends up holding more.

Stevens new course: Finding Peace in Everyday Life (you choose how much to pay)
Welcome to Enchanted Garden. A meditation that aims to comfort those experiencing heartbreak
Steven Webb:and emotional pain. It provides a safe space for acknowledging feelings, fostering self-love and moving
Steven Webb:towards emotional resilience. So
Steven Webb:we begin by just becoming comfortable, giving your body permission to relax. And shake out your arms and just
Steven Webb:sit and allow your body to relax and become comfortable in this moment.
Steven Webb:Recognise this moment as a peaceful moment and set the intention for the next 10 minutes or so
Steven Webb:that we're going to allow this moment to be exactly what it is.
Steven Webb:Just a pause. Just
Steven Webb:a peaceful moment. And
Steven Webb:now when you're ready, if you gently close your eyes we'll just soften your gaze a few feet in front
Steven Webb:of you. And bring your attention to your breath.
Steven Webb:And we'll take a couple of deep breaths in and then we'll hold it and then we'll breathe out.
Steven Webb:So after three, one, two, three, take a deep breath in.
Steven Webb:Hold it.
Steven Webb:And now just let that breath out. And
Steven Webb:now breathe easy.
Steven Webb:And we'll do it one more time. This just connects the mind and the awareness to the body. So one,
Steven Webb:two, three, take a deep breath in.
Steven Webb:Hold it.
Steven Webb:And now just allow your breath to come out naturally. And
Steven Webb:now just allow your breath to be what it is. We
Steven Webb:won't get involved with the breath anymore. We're just going to allow the body to breathe.
Steven Webb:And now just imagine standing, visualizing before you a real big beautiful iron gate. It's
Steven Webb:entwined with trailing ivy.
Steven Webb:And this is the entrance to your enchanted garden. It's a magical place that exists in the
Steven Webb:landscape of your heart
Steven Webb:And you can gently walk over to it and you gently push the gate open and you're feeling the cool
Steven Webb:metal against your palm and
Steven Webb:as you step inside, you notice the vastness of the garden.
Steven Webb:You notice that it looks a little bit neglected with some of the flowers wilted and dry patches
Steven Webb:of earth. But
Steven Webb:don't be disheartened because this garden is a resilient one and it holds the promise of renewal just as your
Steven Webb:heart does.
Steven Webb:And as you stroll along the garden paths, you recognise each withering plant. You see, and it
Steven Webb:represents an aspect of your emotional pain.
Steven Webb:Maybe one plant represents a lost love.
Steven Webb:Another symbolizes regret.
Steven Webb:And another signifies loneliness.
Steven Webb:Take a few moments to acknowledge these feelings.
Steven Webb:It's okay to feel this way.
Steven Webb:It's okay to let yourself feel a bit sad.
Steven Webb:And now in your hands you feel the gentle weight of a watering can.
Steven Webb:This isn't any ordinary watering can. It's filled with nurturing elements of self-love,
Steven Webb:self-care, forgiveness and hope.
Steven Webb:And when you're ready, begin to water each plant in your garden.
Steven Webb:And as you do, understand that you are tendering to your pain with love and compassion.
Steven Webb:And watch as these droplets fall onto the dry soil, seeping in and reaching the roots. You see
Steven Webb:the transformation happening before your eyes.
Steven Webb:The wilted flowers begin to stand tall.
Steven Webb:The colours start to return brighter.
Steven Webb:The new buds begin to bloom.
Steven Webb:Every plant you nurture with love begins to flourish. As it does, feel your heart becoming
Steven Webb:lighter,
Steven Webb:stronger and more vibrant.
Steven Webb:This garden is a reflection of you.
Steven Webb:As it revives and thrives, so do you.
Steven Webb:And we're going to spend another couple of minutes just walking around the garden, recognising the plants as they grow,
Steven Webb:recognising their transformation.
Steven Webb:And as you recognise and seeing the plants grow, it's really tendering to your feelings and nurturing your heart with
Steven Webb:love and kindness.
Steven Webb:Recognise that you have the power to heal and grow, just as this garden does.
Steven Webb:Now we'll bring our awareness back to our breath, just as you notice you're breathing in and out.
Steven Webb:Notice what you're sat on.
Steven Webb:Notice this calmness and this
Steven Webb:revitalized energy and compassion you have.
Steven Webb:And you recognise it's okay to be sad. And this sadness we can grow into bloom whatever we want.
Steven Webb:We are in control.
Steven Webb:And as we take a couple of breaths, just gently open your eyes, shake out your arms, and become more
Steven Webb:aware of the room you're in.
Steven Webb:And You can carry this image of your flourishing garden with you and the feelings of renewal with you all
Steven Webb:day long. And remember it's okay to feel pain.
Steven Webb:But within you, just like within your enchanted garden, there is an innate ability to heal and
Steven Webb:bloom again.
Steven Webb:Carry this knowledge with you. Carry this wisdom. And as you navigate through your journey of healing, it's
Steven Webb:not easy healing from a broken heart or emotional pain. It takes time it's sometimes
Steven Webb:months, sometimes years. But
Steven Webb:when we truly feel it and embrace it and embrace the sadness, we can grow. And we can grow with
Steven Webb:a bigger heart. You know, the heart blows wide open. And the more it blows open, the more we love,
Steven Webb:the more compassion we have,
Steven Webb:the deeper we feel. And the deeper we feel, the more joy and love we have.
Steven Webb:I'm Steven Webb. And you can always listen to my other podcast, Stillness in the Storms, where we talk about
Steven Webb:all this kind of thing. And you can head over to thankyousteven.com where the links are there. Take care.
Steven Webb:Wishing you a most amazing day. Bye.
