In this episode, we talk about the obvious. Forgiveness is not an event. It starts with a Liberation Event that gives you a glimpse of what is possible and a determination to get it done. Then comes the real work. Often, perhaps every day there will be reminders of past events and their lingering effects.
When that happens, you must have tools that you immediately deploy so you don’t fall into a hole. Then you must also have a process for self-forgiveness on the way. No matter who you are, there will be backsliding and even a temptation to quit. A vibrant vision of a life without pain, anger or guilt is a powerful motivator when things get tough, and you want to quit. Create and regularly visit such a vision.
