Transcripts

Speaker A:

Foreign.

Speaker B:

What's up?

Speaker B:

What's up?

Speaker B:

Welcome back with Dr. Stance, where we turn our hustle in a legacy.

Speaker B:

And I got my guy.

Speaker B:

We're finally together.

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker B:

Young Naz from Frisco, Hunter's Point.

Speaker B:

Let's go.

Speaker B:

What's up, brother?

Speaker A:

Yep.

Speaker A:

Yeah, we here.

Speaker A:

You know, feeling good, sipping hand, you know what I'm saying?

Speaker A:

Enjoying the ambiance period, you know, we having a good time.

Speaker A:

You feel me?

Speaker A:

See, right there, Turning hustle into legacy.

Speaker A:

That's what we doing.

Speaker B:

And how did you.

Speaker B:

Let's just get straight into it.

Speaker B:

How did you do that, youngster?

Speaker B:

Cause I know you working with a lot of mothers.

Speaker A:

So, you know, just from, like, from day one of me jumping into this game, you know, shout out to my big bro Juice, you know, he the one that introduced us to this rap lane in the rap game.

Speaker A:

And from there, you know, it just took learning, putting in the work.

Speaker A:

e I always tell people, since:

Speaker A:

You know, every day we've been on this, you know, building a brand, learning, putting out, you know, music, and just doing everything we gotta do to get us to the levels that we are now.

Speaker B:

Absolutely.

Speaker B:

And, you know, I've been watching him for a while.

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker B:

Like, I was telling people, I see him every damn where when I am out.

Speaker B:

When.

Speaker B:

When I was at Lil D last party.

Speaker B:

I seen you, you was with E40.

Speaker B:

He was on with all the real ones.

Speaker A:

You hear me?

Speaker B:

We hug.

Speaker B:

We always.

Speaker B:

It's like we've been known each other but don't know each other.

Speaker B:

Right.

Speaker A:

Look, we come together quick, you know what I'm saying?

Speaker A:

It's not, you know, on us, is in us.

Speaker A:

You know what I'm saying?

Speaker A:

That's just how it is.

Speaker A:

I'm just saying.

Speaker B:

But I will say this.

Speaker B:

I've been following you a long time.

Speaker B:

And you up there, you've worked with some very.

Speaker B:

Some elite people, for sure.

Speaker B:

Who's the.

Speaker B:

Let's start with this.

Speaker B:

Who is your favorite artist you've worked with?

Speaker A:

My part, my uncle, Lenny Williams, period.

Speaker B:

And what song was that?

Speaker B:

Tell the People.

Speaker A:

It's called Vibes.

Speaker A:

And they play that in the Real Housewives of Dubai in two episodes.

Speaker A:

And it's in a movie called Compton's Finest with Malik Whitfield, Lavelle Crawford, and Cisco Reyes.

Speaker B:

I like it.

Speaker B:

You out here really busting plays.

Speaker B:

I've been watching you.

Speaker B:

The music is popping.

Speaker B:

And one thing I love about you and your music is for everybody.

Speaker A:

Oh, yeah, for sure.

Speaker B:

Does that make sense?

Speaker A:

Yeah, that's right.

Speaker B:

You capitalize on your talent.

Speaker B:

You don't just stay with one genre, you are national.

Speaker B:

And that's what I respect about you.

Speaker B:

And it relates with everybody.

Speaker B:

You still can be a gangster rapper and still get to everybody.

Speaker B:

That's when I knew I need Young Naz on my shit.

Speaker B:

Because at the end of the day, you're sharp.

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

And one thing like how you said that, that was something I had to learn from jumping into the game.

Speaker A:

Cause when I jumped in, it was all about the neighborhood, what we doing in the streets, things like that.

Speaker A:

So I was making music for me and my crew.

Speaker A:

And then I started getting opportunities where it was like, man, you gotta kinda change some of the music so we could get these other deals and shit.

Speaker A:

So in the midst of that, I remember I did a video and it was so gangsta and.

Speaker A:

And we just on there turnt up.

Speaker A:

It was scaring people, you know what I'm saying?

Speaker A:

Like, they was like, man, we can't book him, man, he gon bring a crowd we don't need at this club.

Speaker A:

So my people that was doing the business with me at the time, you know, he had pulled my collar on it.

Speaker A:

And then he opened my mind to just thinking outside of the box.

Speaker B:

Correct.

Speaker A:

And then from there, you know what I'm saying, I started just mixing it up, you know what I'm saying?

Speaker A:

I do stuff for all crowds of people.

Speaker A:

And from that, it expanded my talent, you know, allowed me to like showcase my writing skills and challenge myself.

Speaker A:

And it worked out good for me.

Speaker B:

Mm, I like it.

Speaker B:

Tell me about your childhood.

Speaker B:

Like growing up in San Francisco, Hunters Pointe, what was that like?

Speaker B:

Cause you connected.

Speaker A:

Oh, yeah.

Speaker B:

Tell the people who you is.

Speaker A:

I was in the feds from 0 to 7, so I used to have to go to the feds and visit my father.

Speaker A:

And you know, just coming up, you know, in the hood, just, you know, regular hood shit, you know, my spot was always a spot.

Speaker A:

So, you know, I seen a lot and was around a lot and the OGs, they always laced me, you know what I'm saying?

Speaker A:

And kept me on my toes and just being out there, you know, it made me into a hustler, you know what I'm saying?

Speaker A:

When I was younger, I was playing sports, I was a football player, basketball player, just going through the struggle, you know what I'm saying?

Speaker A:

My mom, single mother, wanting to be able to help her and of course myself and surviving the world.

Speaker A:

So, you know, we jumped into these streets at 12 years old.

Speaker B:

Mm.

Speaker B:

You Got kids?

Speaker A:

Mm.

Speaker B:

How many kids you got?

Speaker A:

Just one.

Speaker A:

Just my daughter, you know.

Speaker A:

Yep.

Speaker A:

She was born in:

Speaker A:

And, you know, like I said, when I was 12, I jumped into the game as far as in these streets, you feel me?

Speaker A:

And, you know, 17, I was buying my own cars, paying my mom rent, and, you know, Cardinal helping her out and, you know, just doing what I gotta do, you know, and that taught me a lot, you know, from, you know, going to jail at 16, you know what I'm saying?

Speaker A:

From robberies, conspiracies and things like that, and assault.

Speaker A:

And it just was like, man, I'm living real reckless.

Speaker A:

And I remember that moment when my mom had came visiting me in the juvenile, and I was like, man, I can't let my mom see me like this.

Speaker A:

And behind these walls.

Speaker A:

And it had happened during Thanksgiving, so while everybody at mom's house having a good time, I'm locked up.

Speaker A:

So as a kid, I was good in there.

Speaker A:

Like, we was just kicking back to.

Speaker A:

We got up out of there.

Speaker A:

But ever since then, I never called my mom when I was in jail.

Speaker B:

Really?

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

No.

Speaker B:

Why?

Speaker A:

Cause I just.

Speaker A:

It.

Speaker B:

You up?

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

Just having to talk to her and being behind the wall.

Speaker A:

Cause that's not where she want me to be.

Speaker B:

Absolutely.

Speaker A:

You know, so that right there, you know, it just.

Speaker A:

You know, it just make a man out of you.

Speaker A:

You know what I'm saying?

Speaker A:

When you young and, you know, I've been to jail seven times, you know, from what we was just saying, you know, from drugs and guns, you know what I'm saying?

Speaker A:

And warrants and, you know, shit like that.

Speaker A:

And, you know, them was all my mistakes, and that made me into the good person that I am today.

Speaker A:

Cause, you know, sometimes a loss, it ain't always a loss.

Speaker A:

It's a lesson.

Speaker B:

Amen.

Speaker B:

And a blessing.

Speaker A:

Let's talk about it.

Speaker A:

But I ain't did no time, though.

Speaker A:

But I didn't beat all my cases, you feel me?

Speaker A:

There ain't no sucking shit on my foul, none of that other shit.

Speaker A:

So, you know, we just lived through it.

Speaker B:

Well, I'm proud of you.

Speaker B:

You know, I've been seeing you, and I noticed, like, when you share all the comments and all the love you get, you got a lot of fans, bro.

Speaker B:

Like, people love you.

Speaker B:

And I mean, what I really love and respect about it, like you said, it's all different cultures.

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker B:

That's what.

Speaker B:

That's why I was like, I gotta have.

Speaker B:

You're Wise.

Speaker A:

Exactly.

Speaker B:

You don't stick to one.

Speaker B:

You're not in one lane.

Speaker B:

You in lane at all.

Speaker B:

And that's how you grow the bag.

Speaker A:

Like, even with this brand right here.

Speaker A:

One water.

Speaker A:

That's from Canada, period.

Speaker A:

Talk about it.

Speaker B:

Tell the people.

Speaker A:

They got the facility in Canada, Switzerland, and Italy and, you know, they've been rocking with me for a while, and then they came together with this.

Speaker A:

So, you know, we wanted the brand ambassadors, and they got me, Jake, Paul, and, you know, a few other people.

Speaker A:

And it's a new brand, you know, it's growing every day.

Speaker B:

Show them what it do, though.

Speaker B:

Did you show the people you ain't seen no water like this?

Speaker B:

Show them what it do, though.

Speaker B:

I'm like, okay, all stay together like it should.

Speaker A:

Easy look, you know, the special design.

Speaker B:

That's dope.

Speaker B:

Durable.

Speaker B:

That's dope.

Speaker A:

They specialize in to make it, you know, different from other waters.

Speaker A:

And this is also purified.

Speaker A:

So it's healthy for you.

Speaker A:

And, you know, you're getting all your nutrients and your minerals.

Speaker B:

I literally.

Speaker B:

That's probably the dopest thing I've seen.

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker B:

I think I just went to an event, Pure Life.

Speaker B:

I don't know if you heard of that.

Speaker B:

He was an ex basketball player with Byron.

Speaker A:

That sound familiar?

Speaker A:

Yeah, that sound familiar.

Speaker B:

Life.

Speaker B:

It's a popping like a Gatorade.

Speaker B:

What do you call those drinks?

Speaker A:

A sports drink.

Speaker B:

Exactly.

Speaker A:

Oh, yeah, Yeah, I think I seen that.

Speaker B:

It's a sports drinks called Sports Life.

Speaker A:

Oh, yeah, That's.

Speaker B:

So I'm noticing a lot of people are creating different things, but I will say, and this.

Speaker B:

This is a different lane.

Speaker B:

Yeah, no one has this.

Speaker A:

Exactly.

Speaker B:

Ain't nobody got that.

Speaker B:

You're a trendsetter.

Speaker B:

I like trendsetters, you know, Me too.

Speaker B:

I'm not with the following.

Speaker B:

The crowd.

Speaker B:

So this.

Speaker B:

Y' all check my boy out with this.

Speaker A:

One water.

Speaker B:

One water.

Speaker B:

I love it.

Speaker A:

Go to the Instagram.

Speaker A:

Just type in one water.

Speaker A:

That's O N E W A T E R.1 water.

Speaker B:

I like it.

Speaker B:

Tell me, Mr. Young.

Speaker B:

Naz.

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker B:

Who was to you and what was your biggest accomplishment in life when it comes to the rap industry?

Speaker B:

Who's your favorite celebrity you've worked with?

Speaker B:

Cause I know a couple, but I'mma let you tell it.

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

So I'm like, okay, there's somebody.

Speaker A:

Yeah, yeah.

Speaker A:

en we jumped in, you know, in:

Speaker A:

With Fullies Get Paid Music group.

Speaker A:

That's what put me in the game.

Speaker A:

his was, you know, like, from:

Speaker A:

And then that's when I started getting on tv.

Speaker A:

And I was one of the first Bay Area of my generation to be on tv.

Speaker A:

And I'm talking about nationwide.

Speaker A:

Like, it ain't just in the California region and all that.

Speaker A:

Absolutely.

Speaker A:

We worldwide, you know, so that was like a big experience for me.

Speaker A:

Like, I had people calling me.

Speaker A:

You know what I'm saying?

Speaker A:

They like, man, I see you on tv, get another call, man, I hear you on the radio.

Speaker A:

So it was like, you know, it was like a monumental thing, but, like, you know, all of the accomplishments that I have, you know, obtained with my career while I was, like, pushing forward to those, I used to think like, man, once I do this, this gonna change.

Speaker A:

Once I do that, that's gonna change.

Speaker A:

And then it's like, once you accomplish it, you realize, like, okay, I did that, but then now it's more work I gotta do.

Speaker A:

So that's why I.

Speaker B:

So much more.

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

Just never stop, especially.

Speaker B:

I'm sure we can relate.

Speaker B:

Your entrepreneur.

Speaker B:

Correct.

Speaker B:

Don't never stop at all.

Speaker A:

Gotta keep it going.

Speaker B:

Okay.

Speaker B:

And, you know, we're not average people.

Speaker A:

Exactly.

Speaker B:

We're not like the people that clock a 9 to 5, that know that they have a check coming.

Speaker A:

Exactly.

Speaker B:

On each and every other Friday.

Speaker A:

Exactly.

Speaker B:

Right.

Speaker B:

We have to be out there and go find that bag.

Speaker A:

Yeah, yeah.

Speaker B:

Like, what's your sleep like?

Speaker B:

I don't sleep because I got sleep at all.

Speaker A:

My adrenaline be going.

Speaker A:

I'm like the Terminator.

Speaker A:

All I need is two, three hours and we back at it.

Speaker A:

I went to sleep last night at five in the morning.

Speaker B:

Is it?

Speaker B:

And woke up at what time?

Speaker B:

About eight?

Speaker A:

About eight or nine.

Speaker B:

I mean.

Speaker B:

And so how do you tell somebody that's an entrepreneur like you, Right.

Speaker B:

What do you tell that person to keep going?

Speaker A:

It's like, how bad you want it?

Speaker A:

You know what I'm saying?

Speaker A:

Like, what lifestyle you trying to have?

Speaker A:

You know what I'm saying?

Speaker B:

I need all that.

Speaker A:

You know, you want to look good out here, ride foreigns and everything in big houses, you know what I'm saying?

Speaker A:

Trips and all the finer things.

Speaker A:

You ain't gonna get that.

Speaker A:

Being asleep and you ain't gonna get that.

Speaker A:

I mean, some nine to fives, if you got the right one, you know, like longshoremen, things like that.

Speaker A:

You know, like real career jobs, you could, you know, had a lifestyle off of that.

Speaker A:

But, you know, they gotta pick you for that.

Speaker B:

Absolutely.

Speaker A:

That don't happen for everybody.

Speaker B:

But I'm.

Speaker B:

And you gotta get educated for that.

Speaker A:

Yeah, takes time.

Speaker A:

Exactly.

Speaker A:

So, you know, willing to put in the work for that, then, yeah, you can take that route.

Speaker A:

But like I said, you know, I was one of the people that, you know, all I knew was the streets.

Speaker A:

I got it all out the street, you know what I'm saying?

Speaker A:

And I am the job, you know what I'm saying?

Speaker A:

I got my own companies, you know what I'm saying?

Speaker A:

So I'mma work for me.

Speaker A:

I ain't working for nobody else.

Speaker B:

I did for 25 years.

Speaker B:

And I think actually that's what made me get that mindset that you have working for somebody else.

Speaker B:

And don't get it twisted, I don't knock nobody because that takes discipline, that takes a certain mindset and.

Speaker B:

And humbleness to be able to work for somebody else.

Speaker B:

But, you know, at one point, you get tired of that.

Speaker B:

Even my guy, you know what I'm saying?

Speaker B:

That's on my team.

Speaker B:

I'm like, I'm their biggest fan, you know what I mean?

Speaker B:

And sometimes it take a village to help you get shit started.

Speaker B:

And people.

Speaker B:

That's 100 authentic.

Speaker B:

Tell me about that, though.

Speaker B:

Being from Hunter's Point, being in the bay, like your name moving in the bay, like, I'm sure you done ran across this.

Speaker B:

That just be something be hating, man.

Speaker B:

That's.

Speaker A:

Why do you think that is?

Speaker A:

You know, they just, you know, want what you got, you know, but they ain't willing to take the sacrifices, you know, don't nothing fall out the sky.

Speaker B:

It just don't.

Speaker A:

Like a lot of people don't even know.

Speaker A:

It's only four ways to get paid in the whole world.

Speaker B:

And how is it talk to the people.

Speaker B:

Talk to me and the people, you

Speaker A:

know, when it come to that, you know, look at it like a cross, you know what I'm saying?

Speaker A:

So you got an E right here, which stands for employee.

Speaker A:

That's people that, you know, get a little bit of knowledge or just go straight to working, you know, they're an employee.

Speaker A:

Under that is a S. That stands for Specialist.

Speaker A:

That's somebody that got a little bit more knowledge.

Speaker A:

You know, they probably went to school, you know what I'm saying?

Speaker B:

Specialize.

Speaker A:

Yeah, yeah.

Speaker A:

They specialize in this something.

Speaker A:

So they're gonna make a little bit more money than the employee.

Speaker A:

And then you have on the side of that.

Speaker A:

Cause like I said, we looking at it like a cross.

Speaker A:

So now you at the top right of the boxes, you.

Speaker A:

That's that.

Speaker A:

That's B.

Speaker A:

That stands for boss, business owner.

Speaker A:

You know what I'm saying?

Speaker A:

Somebody that stepped over and now they trying to, you know, own something.

Speaker A:

And then up under that, it's a I, which stands for investor.

Speaker B:

Ooh.

Speaker A:

Do you know the.

Speaker A:

What separates all of them?

Speaker A:

Do you know?

Speaker B:

Ooh, you know, God, for me.

Speaker A:

Okay, that's a good answer.

Speaker A:

So you know what?

Speaker B:

Separate.

Speaker B:

You can't go wrong with that.

Speaker B:

Right?

Speaker B:

That was safe.

Speaker A:

Okay, so what separates them is the two taxes.

Speaker A:

Employee gonna pay 40%, specialist gonna pay 60%.

Speaker A:

Cause they making a little bit more.

Speaker A:

The boss gonna pay 20% and the investor gonna pay zero.

Speaker A:

And that's why they say people don't pay taxes.

Speaker A:

Cause they investors.

Speaker B:

And overall, you said that was what.

Speaker A:

That's just the four ways to get paid in the whole world.

Speaker B:

And the four ways is a what, a cross.

Speaker B:

Correct.

Speaker A:

Exactly.

Speaker A:

Just look at it like a cross.

Speaker A:

You got the E right here, the S right there, the B right there, and the I right there.

Speaker B:

And what the cross stand for.

Speaker B:

Our father above, if you ask me.

Speaker A:

And that too, you know?

Speaker A:

Cause you gotta.

Speaker A:

You know what I'm saying?

Speaker A:

Keep him first.

Speaker B:

I was close.

Speaker A:

And what separates, you know, everybody is fear.

Speaker A:

Cause people get comfortable with the employee or the specialist, they don't wanna be the business owner or the investor.

Speaker A:

Ooh.

Speaker A:

So in order to get that real bag, you gotta be the business owner and the investor.

Speaker B:

Well, I'll say this.

Speaker B:

You gotta have faith first.

Speaker A:

That too, Gary.

Speaker B:

Because you gotta have faith and you gotta believe.

Speaker B:

Because, see, you even me working in the health care field for 25 years, and I quit Kaiser suit that took 30,000 fucking 10 years ago and bought me a house.

Speaker A:

There it is.

Speaker B:

And that's what sky me up from there.

Speaker A:

And where I was like, okay, that's a good decision.

Speaker B:

Thank you so much.

Speaker B:

But I was scared.

Speaker B:

I wasn't scared because I'm fearless, but I was like, just normal reaction.

Speaker B:

Yeah, it's another level.

Speaker B:

A new.

Speaker B:

Something new.

Speaker B:

Right?

Speaker A:

You know, we move cautious, so we got to make sure that, you know, the I's is dotted and the t's is crossed.

Speaker B:

And I think for me, a lot of people lack that.

Speaker B:

They'll even with you.

Speaker B:

Let's say you've been in the industry, People will look at you and be like, oh, he made it.

Speaker B:

But they don't know the sweat, tears and the shit that you put behind

Speaker A:

that shit every day.

Speaker B:

They don't get it.

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

And I, and I had to invest into myself.

Speaker A:

I am the label.

Speaker A:

I've been signing myself my whole career.

Speaker A:

I ain't never signed nobody.

Speaker B:

And I say don't.

Speaker A:

Yeah, I mean it, it just depends.

Speaker A:

I wouldn't tell a person not to, but just make sure that the clause is in the contract is right and you know, things is going right.

Speaker A:

Cause you know, a deal could, you know, can change your life.

Speaker A:

Yeah, it could catapult you to another level.

Speaker A:

But if the deal is wrong and bad, it could also harm you and hurt you.

Speaker B:

So what do you tell rappers that are in the industry now?

Speaker B:

Or just even artists that are in the industry, what to watch out for when it comes to that?

Speaker B:

Because see, you're independent.

Speaker B:

So what would you tell somebody that's in the middle like, oh shit, should I sign?

Speaker B:

Should I be independent?

Speaker B:

What should I do?

Speaker A:

Is this all what they offering?

Speaker A:

You know what I'm saying?

Speaker A:

If they offering you some good shit, I mean, you know, read the contract, don't just sign cause they got some money in front of you, you know.

Speaker A:

Cause I done turned down millions of dollars, you know what I'm saying?

Speaker A:

Cause shit ain't right.

Speaker A:

You know what wasn't right?

Speaker A:

It was just like, you know, like when you sign deals with these companies, you know, they basically take over your ownership, the control over what you doing in your life, you know what I'm saying?

Speaker A:

It's like you're now in they hands.

Speaker A:

So whatever they feel is best for the artist, you know, whoever, that's what you gotta do.

Speaker A:

And then it's like it's a line of credit at the end of the day.

Speaker A:

So you get in, say 10 million, give you a signing bonus, you still gotta pay that 10 million back plus that interest.

Speaker A:

.:

Speaker A:

And you know, I'm one of the poster childs for people that's been having people actually physically buy the album, you know what I'm saying?

Speaker A:

Cause once the streaming came about, people just wanted to stream.

Speaker A:

They was buying subscriptions and things like that.

Speaker A:

People didn't even know about itunes, store, Amazon, Q Buzz, these are all platforms where you could physically buy the music.

Speaker A:

So when I Jumped into the game.

Speaker A:

It was like the last little stretch of the CDs.

Speaker A:

Like we was, you know, putting CDs and Rasputin dimples, rap bae, that was one of our distributors, they still around.

Speaker A:

And things was just slowly going towards digital.

Speaker A:

So like maybe like:

Speaker A:

Like, man, it's really going digital.

Speaker A:

So about:

Speaker A:

So in the beginning stage, it's like people was just like, okay, we just gotta adapt to the game.

Speaker A:

Like we ain't gotta press up CDs no more.

Speaker A:

Now we can save some money.

Speaker A:

Cause you know, to press up the CDs, it was like, you know, like 900 per thousand, you know what I'm saying?

Speaker A:

So really I used to get em pressed up right there in El Cerrito, you know, that's where we all went, you know, all of us, Jack and the Mob, figures, everybody, J Style and Philly, everybody in the bay.

Speaker A:

We was all going to El Cerrito to get our CDs pressed up.

Speaker A:

And like I said, when everything went digital, it was like, shit, we ain't got no CDs, but we wasn't really doing the math of the return, you know what I'm saying?

Speaker A:

So you started really looking at the numbers and looking at what you getting paid per stream and all of that shit.

Speaker A:

And N was just like, man, this shit, this shit less than a penny.

Speaker A:

So shit, God.

Speaker B:

They said 0.002.

Speaker B:

Yeah, God damn.

Speaker B:

I didn't.

Speaker B:

I would have never knew that.

Speaker A:

Yeah, you got to do the.

Speaker A:

Do the math.

Speaker A:

You know, once you do the math, do the math ain't right.

Speaker A:

You got to change it somewhere, you know what I'm saying?

Speaker A:

They could be a million streams and you don't get.

Speaker A:

Yeah, yeah, like Snoop Dogg, he had over a billion streams.

Speaker A:

They paid him $40,000.

Speaker B:

That shit crazy for a billion streams.

Speaker A:

Billion streams.

Speaker A:

40,000.

Speaker B:

And that could have been in the industry over three decades.

Speaker A:

Cause it's, you know, he under a lot of deals.

Speaker A:

So in the entertainment, the artists get paid last.

Speaker A:

So when the artists get paid last, everybody else get they cut.

Speaker A:

And that's what was left over for him.

Speaker B:

Wow.

Speaker A:

40,000.

Speaker A:

Wow.

Speaker B:

So you teaching the people.

Speaker B:

Cause see, me being new to the industry, I'm new dealing with a lot of rappers coming on and stuff like that.

Speaker B:

I don't know this stuff.

Speaker B:

So I think it's very just wise and it's educational.

Speaker A:

Got to gotta learn the business.

Speaker B:

Educational.

Speaker A:

I tell new artists all the time, you know, you want to be in this game, you gotta learn the business.

Speaker A:

If you don't know the business, you like crashing out.

Speaker A:

At this point, a lot of people ain't got no ownership.

Speaker A:

A lot of people just out here just putting music out and just doing shit.

Speaker A:

And me, like, I support everybody, you know what I'm saying?

Speaker A:

I don't care if you somebody or not anybody or upcoming.

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

It don't matter if I rock with you.

Speaker A:

I rock with you.

Speaker A:

And I done seen and been around a lot of people.

Speaker A:

I done seen people catapult and go up and I done seen them come down, you know what I'm saying?

Speaker B:

So what do you tell them folks to stay up?

Speaker B:

What do we say to them?

Speaker A:

Gotta do the right things.

Speaker A:

Gotta keep God first.

Speaker A:

Don't forget about your people.

Speaker A:

You know what I'm saying?

Speaker A:

Like, you gotta stay tapped in with the people.

Speaker A:

Niggas get fame and get money and n. Yeah.

Speaker A:

They don't be around no more.

Speaker A:

You know what I'm saying?

Speaker A:

You still catch me everywhere.

Speaker B:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

You know what I'm saying?

Speaker B:

You is everywhere.

Speaker A:

And I'm, you know, good everywhere I go, you know what I'm saying?

Speaker A:

And I bring good energy.

Speaker B:

You feel me?

Speaker A:

Like, I don't like when it come to money.

Speaker A:

Like, I done ran through a lot of money, you know what I'm saying?

Speaker A:

So a person can't bribe me with no money.

Speaker B:

I should have been rich in Dubai somewhere by now.

Speaker B:

The money went in touch.

Speaker B:

It's ridiculous.

Speaker A:

See, one thing.

Speaker A:

And that's another thing.

Speaker A:

Like the money we was touching if we knew the strategy that we know now we have a lot more because all it takes is a million dollars.

Speaker A:

And that could generate you $30,000 a month.

Speaker B:

Literally less than that, to be honest with you.

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

Depending on how you invested.

Speaker A:

Dividend stocks, CD accounts.

Speaker B:

Absolutely.

Speaker A:

All of this things, you know, how your business in order, you know, your business is your second identity, you know, I thought.

Speaker B:

I'm glad you mentioned that because a lot of people don't know, you know, I have a notary license.

Speaker A:

Exactly.

Speaker B:

And I do wills and trusts.

Speaker A:

Oh, yeah, that's big.

Speaker B:

And a lot of.

Speaker B:

Yeah, all my shit's in the trust.

Speaker A:

Exactly.

Speaker A:

That's protected.

Speaker A:

Can nobody touch that?

Speaker B:

They can't fuck with me.

Speaker A:

Exactly.

Speaker B:

And Dr. Stanz ain't got shit.

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker B:

Okay.

Speaker B:

A lot of people don't know, especially elders, when it comes to protecting what they legacy.

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

You got to.

Speaker B:

You know what I mean?

Speaker B:

So I'm glad that you mentioned that because the people need to know that it's so many ways.

Speaker B:

It's a million and one ways to get money.

Speaker A:

Exactly.

Speaker B:

A million and one person.

Speaker B:

I'm killing that goddamn phone.

Speaker B:

Y' all know we be live.

Speaker B:

We don't go.

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker B:

But anyway, the important Percy P. Money is important.

Speaker B:

Make sure you keep this on the God too, so the people can see the sitting there in Louis Vuitton, Versace.

Speaker B:

He don't.

Speaker B:

It don't matter.

Speaker B:

Phone can ring

Speaker A:

right now, man.

Speaker A:

He gotta handle his business.

Speaker B:

Listen, anybody with Dr. Stanz, we gonna get to it the best.

Speaker A:

Amen.

Speaker A:

We gonna get it handled.

Speaker B:

But I'm gonna tell you this.

Speaker B:

You know, I always in my or just always focus on this.

Speaker B:

You know, I do the foster care.

Speaker A:

Okay.

Speaker B:

And I, you know, I house over 50 foster youth.

Speaker A:

Oh, yeah.

Speaker A:

That's.

Speaker A:

That's big.

Speaker B:

Absolutely.

Speaker B:

They need to tap in with your sis.

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

We going to collaborate, period.

Speaker B:

I house.

Speaker B:

I want you at my event.

Speaker B:

February 13th.

Speaker B:

I'm having a Valentine's gala.

Speaker A:

Okay.

Speaker B:

Okay.

Speaker B:

I want you to come dipped in your black suit.

Speaker B:

I need to bring you la.

Speaker B:

Is you single.

Speaker A:

You know every.

Speaker B:

I bring.

Speaker B:

I love you.

Speaker A:

I've been in a relationship for 12 years.

Speaker A:

You know, me and my.

Speaker A:

And my BM.

Speaker A:

Yeah, we've been together 12 years.

Speaker A:

She five years older than me.

Speaker B:

BM.

Speaker B:

I think I seen on Instagram the pretty lady.

Speaker A:

Yeah, that was at the party.

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

Yeah, that's her.

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker B:

Pretty lady.

Speaker B:

Hi, pretty lady bring you and her to the event by her beautiful red dress.

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker B:

You promise?

Speaker A:

Yeah, we just gotta Send me all the information.

Speaker B:

I like how you said that.

Speaker B:

Cause see how I tried to get you?

Speaker B:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

We just gotta, you know, lock it in.

Speaker A:

Y' all gotta see what's going on on the schedule and.

Speaker A:

Yeah, we'll get it going.

Speaker B:

I try to hold him accountable real quick.

Speaker B:

You promise?

Speaker B:

You smart, though.

Speaker B:

He quick on his toes.

Speaker B:

Cause I'm gonna hold you to it if you ain't.

Speaker B:

I need you there.

Speaker A:

There it is.

Speaker A:

And we'll fig.

Speaker B:

Hey, it's February 13th, 7pm I got a nice rooftop.

Speaker B:

I'm going have a zoo there.

Speaker B:

It's serious.

Speaker B:

It's serious.

Speaker B:

And I want you to come fly.

Speaker A:

Oh, yeah, for sure.

Speaker B:

But I did it for my foster youth.

Speaker B:

I always.

Speaker B:

No matter each show, I piggyback that to my foster youth.

Speaker B:

Because that's what I'm doing this for.

Speaker B:

I create a safe space for my kids to come on here and for people like you to come on and tell who you are, what you're trying to do.

Speaker B:

I'mma ask you if you could tell my foster youth, because I got a couple on here that are extremely talented, and they'll be coming on here.

Speaker B:

Shout out to Angel Fox, you coming?

Speaker B:

Boo next week.

Speaker B:

If you can tell my foster youth that are up and coming artists that are.

Speaker B:

That want to be in the industry, what advice would you give them?

Speaker B:

I got the best damn on it.

Speaker A:

I'm that just never give up.

Speaker A:

Like, you gotta be in this for the long run, you know, the longevity.

Speaker A:

It's not a get rich quick scheme.

Speaker A:

t like when I jumped in it in:

Speaker A:

Cause I'm seeing, like, Juice and Mess and them and Killer Keith.

Speaker A:

They pulling up, having a good time.

Speaker A:

And of course, you know, like, being young, you know, you see, like, the cash monies and the Lil Waynes and just, you know, MTV Cribs.

Speaker A:

You, like, you become a rapper, you gonna have all of this stuff.

Speaker B:

So I want all that, and I ain't even a rapper yet.

Speaker A:

So I was like, you know, they didn't pull up on me, you know, in the hood and shit on third at the Kings of Cali.

Speaker A:

And I be like, man, what y' all finna go do?

Speaker A:

They like, man, we going to the studio.

Speaker A:

I'm like, oh, for real?

Speaker A:

I'm like, oh, I'm finna start going to the studio, too, you know.

Speaker B:

So they like me a rapper tomorrow.

Speaker A:

Yeah, they like you rapping?

Speaker A:

I'm like, yeah, yep, I'm rapping.

Speaker A:

So I was probably, like, 14 and.

Speaker B:

How old are you?

Speaker A:

I'm 35 now.

Speaker B:

Got you.

Speaker A:

So when I was, like, 18, that's when juice, like, started, you know, putting me on.

Speaker A:

Like, he see that I was serious.

Speaker A:

Like, I was actually, like, I even had a CD out, you know what I'm saying?

Speaker A:

It wasn't like, all the way pressed up, but I used to be selling them in front of the store.

Speaker B:

Sound like fabbing them.

Speaker A:

Yeah, yeah.

Speaker A:

Like, I was out there, you know, at night.

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

So at that time, I had just graduated high school.

Speaker A:

No, I had a little cd.

Speaker A:

I was pushing, like, just through the school and at the.

Speaker A:

You know, in front of the stores and shit.

Speaker A:

And, you know, Juice, like I said, always been big, bruh.

Speaker A:

So, like I said, when I was 18 started, you know, like, really, like, putting me on.

Speaker A:

Like, you know, like, bruh, come to the studio.

Speaker A:

You feel me?

Speaker A:

Started showing me the game.

Speaker A:

You know what I'm saying, how this shit go?

Speaker A:

And, like, Just being around him, going to meetings and all of that, you know, that's how I met Ghazi.

Speaker A:

Like, I've been knowing Ghazi my whole career.

Speaker A:

This, like, we was like some of the first artists in the Empire office.

Speaker A:

And I didn't even know who Ghazi was.

Speaker A:

I was in there in an interview with Juice.

Speaker A:

You feel me?

Speaker A:

Like, man, my name Ghazi.

Speaker A:

I was like, what's up?

Speaker A:

You know what I'm saying?

Speaker A:

We chopped it up, you know, all of that.

Speaker A:

And then from there, it was just like, you know, you doing music, I see what you got going on, and we gonna stay in contact.

Speaker A:

And this was like.

Speaker A:

This is like 0 10.

Speaker A:

So in like:

Speaker A:

My uncle, creature man, you know, Creature

Speaker B:

Man, I like that.

Speaker A:

My uncle, Creature man from Phil Mo, you know, he seen I was doing the music, and he was like, yeah, man, you know, Ghazi, you know, he can make some stuff happen for you.

Speaker A:

So then he gave me his number, and I tapped in with him.

Speaker A:

You know, Ghazi set up the meeting, all of this shit.

Speaker A:

And I was running around in the streets, you know, like, real reckless, you know, at the time.

Speaker A:

Like, I had no license, driving cars, buying cars, just doing hella reckless shit, and ended up getting pulled over around the time when I had the meeting.

Speaker A:

So lose the car.

Speaker A:

Can't get to the meeting.

Speaker A:

I'm not knowing, like, Ghazi is this powerful person, you know what I'm saying?

Speaker A:

So I called him.

Speaker A:

I'm like, man, Ghazi, man, I can't get to the meeting, man.

Speaker A:

I got pulled over.

Speaker A:

They took my car.

Speaker A:

I can't make it.

Speaker A:

Let's reschedule it.

Speaker A:

So he like, all right, it's good.

Speaker A:

So then, you know, he tell me to call Nima.

Speaker A:

You know, that's still his, you know, right hand man.

Speaker A:

That's his brother.

Speaker A:

So I called Nima.

Speaker A:

Nima, like, man, we gonna put you on the schedule.

Speaker A:

This is:

Speaker A:

get back on the schedule till:

Speaker B:

The more that's.

Speaker B:

Don't miss the meeting.

Speaker A:

Miss the meeting.

Speaker A:

So I'm telling you, when you got an opportunity, be there early.

Speaker A:

Telling your kids, be there early if you don't know what might happen.

Speaker B:

It was about, what, 30 minutes early to this meeting, man.

Speaker A:

Listen, I learned my lesson from there, period.

Speaker A:

So that's the lesson every time.

Speaker B:

Be on time.

Speaker B:

Don't miss the meeting.

Speaker B:

Well, I'm gonna tell you this, Mr. Young Naz, you are more than blessed.

Speaker A:

Oh, yeah, for sure.

Speaker B:

We are extremely grateful to have you on my new platform, turning your hustle into legacy.

Speaker B:

Speaker B:

Speaker A:

I get gifts, but I don't get gifts all the time.

Speaker B:

I don't never.

Speaker B:

I'm lying.

Speaker B:

I do get a gift.

Speaker B:

I got a Chanel, my friend.

Speaker B:

So that's just to bring me a gift.

Speaker B:

Speaker B:

Speaker B:
