Transcripts

Speaker:

Shopping clean shouldn't feel like a chemistry exam.

Speaker:

in this video, I'm gonna show you exactly what to buy organic, the

Speaker:

things that you could skip and how to wash produce so you cut the

Speaker:

pesticides without blowing your budget.

Speaker:

Each year.

Speaker:

EWG analyzes USDA Data and Flags two lists.

Speaker:

So the first list is the Dirty Dozen.

Speaker:

These are the produce with the highest amount of residues.

Speaker:

And then the second one is the Clean 15, which are the produce

Speaker:

with the lowest amount of residues.

Speaker:

So in 2025, the latest study, it showed that 95% of the dirty dozen samples

Speaker:

actually had detectable pesticides.

Speaker:

And then, you know, you had blackberries over here that were showing 48 different

Speaker:

pesticides that were picked up.

Speaker:

And then potatoes often show chlorpropham, which is actually banned in the eu.

Speaker:

The 2025 Dirty Dozen included these types of produce.

Speaker:

You had spinach, strawberries, kale, mustard greens, and collard greens.

Speaker:

You had grapes.

Speaker:

Peaches, cherries, nectarines, pears, apples, blackberries and new this

Speaker:

year are blueberries and potatoes.

Speaker:

So for kids, people on detox programs, supporting your hormones

Speaker:

and preventing, and just avoiding all these toxins, you have to prioritize

Speaker:

these and get organic whenever you can.

Speaker:

So the 2025 list of the Clean 15 produce is where conventional

Speaker:

is generally low risk.

Speaker:

So almost 60% of these types of produce had no detectable residues.

Speaker:

So that list includes pineapples, sweet corn, avocados, papaya,

Speaker:

onions, frozen sweet peas, asparagus, cabbage, watermelon, cauliflower, and

Speaker:

then new to this list are bananas, mangoes, carrots, mushrooms, and kiwi.

Speaker:

So as you're thinking about shopping, how do you actually do it?

Speaker:

So step one: Always make sure that you're picking up that Dirty

Speaker:

Dozen list in the organic section.

Step two:

is fill the rest of your cart with the Clean Fifteen conventional to

Step two:

save money and keep your exposure low.

Step two:

Now when you get back home, you gotta wash like a pro.

Step two:

Okay?

Step two:

So you gotta soak your produce

Step two:

5 to 10 minutes in a simple

Step two:

1 to 3 vinegar to water ratio.

Step two:

Then you're gonna scrub pretty gently with the vegetable brush.

Step two:

You're gonna rinse and then you're gonna dry

Step two:

ideally with filtered water as well.

Step two:

And then you want to store all this clean produce and dry it and

Step two:

properly put it in a place where it's going to avoid moisture, any

Step two:

kind of molds and recontamination.

Step two:

So a quick myth check, washing isn't actually gonna erase all of the systemic

Step two:

pesticides, but it can meaningfully reduce the surface residuals that

Step two:

you're gonna find on your produce.

Step two:

So every little reduction lowers your daily toxin load and is

Step two:

perfect for avoidance, which is something we should all be doing.

Step two:

So the big truth is also that hidden toxins live in pantry staples too.

Step two:

over 65% of rice-based baby foods contain arsenic.

Step two:

So you gotta be selective with the grain produce, especially for your kids.

Step two:

Pesticides are literally part of the toxin fingerprint that's driving up things

Step two:

like fatigue, immune stress, and even inflammation of all parts of your body.

Step two:

food is something daily that you gotta put inside your body and

Step two:

it's completely controllable.

Step two:

So you gotta make sure you're cleaning up all the inputs that you're putting

Step two:

into your body so you're gonna function better and have a lot more vitality.

Step two:

Alright, quick action plan for you here.

Step two:

So I wanna make sure that you have these lists screenshotted

Step two:

somewhere on your phone so it's easy when you're out there shopping.

Step two:

So make sure to either screenshot.

Step two:

Parts of this video or go to the blog post listed in the description where

Step two:

you can see all this written out, know what your dirty dozens are, so you're

Step two:

always buying the dirty dozen produce in the organic form, and then also

Step two:

on the other side for the clean 15.

Step two:

Make sure you're getting those, at least in the conventional form.

Step two:

You could save some money that way.

Step two:

Also, remember to wash your produce in that vinegar soak, and

Step two:

then peel whenever it's possible.

Step two:

So if you actually wanna know what's happening in your body and understand

Step two:

your current toxin burden, those are the things that make up with pesticides,

Step two:

plastics, heavy metals, molds.

Step two:

Then you gotta really have a real plan.

Step two:

This is the time where you wanna book a free consult with md lifespan.com.

Step two:

They also have a toxin test that you can do.

Step two:

And this is how you're gonna start to learn about your own results.

Step two:

You can figure out how to modify your diet and how to actually build a specific

Step two:

protocol for you that fits in your life.

Step two:

Let me know in the comments of what you're doing to avoid these types of pesticides

Step two:

in the world, like, and subscribe to this if you wanna see more of 'em.

Step two:

And check out other videos where we dive deeper into toxins into

Step two:

other protocols that you could do right now for your health.
